Harry, Ron and Hermione have the best adventures together!There's this super mean bully named Draco Malfoy who's always hassling Harry and his friends. He's a snobby little rich kid who thinks he's better than everyone else because he's from anold pureblood wizarding family. What a jerk! I don't like him at all.The teachers at Hogwarts are really cool, especially Professor Dumbledore who's the headmaster. He's like the wise old grandfather that everybody loves. Professor McGonagall is really strict but fair, and Professor Snape is just plain mean and scary. He's the Potions teacher and he HATES Harry for some reason.Anyway, there's this big mystery that Harry has to solve about the Sorcerer's Stone, which is this awesome magic object that can make you live forever if you drink it. The bad guy who used to follow the evil Lord Voldemort is trying to steal it so he can bring Voldemort back to life. Harry has to sneak through all these crazy challenges to get to the Stone before the bad guys do!There's a three-headed dog named Fluffy that guards a trapdoor, and then Harry and his friends have to get past enchantments from the teachers. Like they have to play this crazy life-sized wizard's chess game, and Hermione has to use logic to get through a potions riddle. It's all sooooo intense!In the end (spoiler alert!) Harry defeats the bad guy and saves the Sorcerer's Stone. He has this epic wizards duel where their wands are locked together shooting sparks everywhere.Harry wins because his mom's love protected him from the evil curse. Love conquering evil is a big theme in the book which I think is really cool.Honestly, I loved every second of reading Harry Potter! It's an unbelievable adventure from start to finish. The wizarding world that J.K. Rowling created is so rich and imaginative. From Quidditch (a sport played on broomsticks) to moving staircases and talking paintings, it's all just brilliant. I thought all the cool magic stuff like the talking paintings, moving staircases, and ghosts at Hogwarts was so imaginative and fun.I also really liked the different characters like the wise headmaster Dumbledore, the nasty potions teacher Snape, and Harry's new friend Hagrid who is a friendly half-giant. The climax at the end with Harry having to face his enemy Voldemort to protect the Sorcerer's Stone from him was really intense and suspenseful.
