Unit 4 Then and now? Part B Read and write
一、教材分析
1、教学内容
本节课的内容为PEP2014年版小学英语六年级下册Unit4 Then and now, 第5课时Part B Read and write。
这个单元主要是围绕过去和现在，谈论人和事物及环境的变化，主要涉及到一般过去时和一般现在时两种时态。
在之前的两个单元，学生已经学习过一般过去时，有一定的基础。
不过，在这个单元增加了难度，两种时态经常要交替使用。
以及要运用句型There was/ were......描述在某个地方或者时间有某事物。
本节课是阅读课型，以“梦”为主题，谈论吴一凡的梦和学生自己的梦。
设计了以阅读理解练习为主，朗读、听写、口头表达、书面写作的辅助练习。
并引导学生使用阅读策略，提高阅读理解能力和语言的综合运用能力。
2、教学目标：
1）知识目标：学生能听、说、认读单词race, nothing, thought ,felt, cheetah, trip, woke, dream。
2）能力目标：学生能听懂、会说句子：There are many animals in the race. But suddenly he tripped and fell.学生能听懂、读懂小短文，并能完成相应的练习。
3）情感态度目标：找寻你的梦想。
3、教学重难点：
重点:能听懂、会说句子：There are many animals in the race.? ? ? ?
难点：能听懂、读懂小短文，并能完成相应的练习。
4、教具准备：PPT、导学案
二、学情分析
学生对梦的话题应该有比较多的经历和想法，贴近生活实际。
语法上，学生已经在前两个单元学习并运用了一般过去时来描述过去的事情。
因此，本课的内容对于学生来说不难理解。
三、教学方法
针对学生形象思维强于他们的抽象思维能力，为达到交流的目的，我在课堂上尽量创设情景，创造语言交流的环境，包括利用多媒体演示，启发学生表达与具体情景相适应的思想，达到用英语交流的目的。
因此根据教材及学生的年龄特点，充分运用游戏、小组活动、表演比赛等教学形式，丰富课堂教学内容，激发学生学习的求知欲，提高学
习的兴趣。
以及采用图片、多媒体课件等直观教具进行教学，使教学内容做到图文并茂，化繁为简，学生学起来通俗易懂。

Step1 Warm-up
1.Greetings.
2.Game: Sharp eyes (10 phrases)
当学生看到所给的短语后，迅速起立并大声读出短语。
设计目的：此游戏能够使学生的注意力迅速集中，又锻炼他们的反应能力和记忆力。
3.Lead-in（话题导入）
由学生喜欢的动物和熟悉的吴一凡切入本课的话题。
Step 2 Presentation
1.Listen and imitate
T plays the video. 1) 学生听录音并圈出生词、难词，教师答疑解惑。
2）学生模仿语音语调朗读课文。
（教师给出标记）
设计目的：让学生根据标准录音感知语句的语音语调，练习有感情地朗读。
2.Read and exercise
1) First reading: Ss skim the passage and number the pictures. (阅读策略:学生边浏览边在文中划出跟图片相关的句子)
设计目的：快速浏览文章时，对文章形成总体印象，注意阅读策略的使用，能帮助学生快速的给图片排序。
2) Task 1 Can you talk about these pictures?
设计目的：再次分别谈论图片，让学生练习说句子，熟悉文本。
3) Second reading: read it carefully and answer the following questions.
设计目的：细读课文，对文本进行分析、理解，并用正确的方式回答，可以使学生的阅读理解和答题能力得到提高。
4) Third reading: retell the story. (教师给出文章结构图提示)
设计目的：最后从整体上分析文章结构，学生根据结构提示复述课文，锻炼记忆力和语言组织能力。
Step 3 Practice
1.Task 2 Listen and fill in the blanks.
1)Ss listen and do the exercise. 2) Check the answer.
设计目的：学生练习听与写。
2.Look and write
1)Discuss in groups. 2) Fill in the blanks.
设计目的：为后面的写作练习做铺垫。
以“我”的梦为示范，根据图片提示，让学
生讨论后能够将“梦”补充完整。
以此来指导学生写作的思路。
Step 4 Consolidation
Task 3 Did you have an interesting dream? What made you feel worried? Share it.
1)Give a sample. 2) Ss write a short passage. 3) Ss share their woks.
设计目的：听说读写，最后进行写作练习。
在之前的基础和铺垫上，学生展开思路，独立完成，锻炼英语写作能力。

在小册子上记录你每天的梦。

Unit4 Then and now单元整体分析本单元是人教版英语六年级下册的第四单元，单元的话题是“Then and now”本单元通过不同的场景，提供了表达以前没有某物和描述某人过去、现在不同情况的句型结构。
共三个版块:A 部分， B部分和C 部分。
A部分包括重点词汇和情景对话，共两个课时。
第一课时呈现了吴一凡和他的爸爸的的对话，通过他们谈论自己的学校的样子，引出句型There was ... years ago. 第二课时吴一凡的爷爷和孩子们参观学校，孩子们想要知道爷爷上学时学校的样子，从而引出句型There was.../ There were...A 部分重点掌握表示几个学校设施的词汇和句型There was…/ There were…的运用。
B部分包括重点词汇、情景对话和读和写，共三个课时。
第一课时吴一凡和Mike谈话，吴一凡向Mike介绍了自己对季节和运动的喜好的变化，, 很自然的引出了句型I didn’t like... before. I like... now. I couldn’t ....before.第二课时John和陈杰在Mike的家里，三人一起看老照片，谈论自己的变化，引出重点句型Before, I was...Now, I am...第三课时通过吴一凡记述自己的一个梦，综合了本单元所学的词汇和句型，扩大了学生的阅读量。
B部分重点是掌握运动的词汇和句型Before, I was...Now, I am...的运用。
C 部分包括B部分的听力测试、语法小结和C部分的故事，共一课时。
重点是复习和巩固本单元所学重点词汇和句型。
在课堂教学中，首先要整体把握本单元教学内容，教学思路，教学重点和教学难点，了解学生的学情。
然后围绕本单元主题“Then and now”展开教学设计。
本单元的教学内容和学生自己息息相关，贴近学生的实际生活，所以在组织教学时要注意设计生活化，充分利用教材已经设定的情境开展活动，加强合作式学习。
