摘要：中西方文化有着巨大的差异，这种差异体现在社会生活的方方面面。
以中西方的典型代表中国和美国为例，两国的国民性格就有着天壤之别。
中国人的性格趋向于勤奋上进，热爱学习，有忧患意识，但创新性不够；而美国人的性格则更趋向于严谨，守时，逻辑性强，善于思考，但却高傲冷漠。
这种性格上的差别是与两国不同的历史渊源，政治背景，经济实力以及其他多种因素分不开的。
There have many differences between East Culture and West Culture. These differences are showed at every aspect of the society. China and America are the typical represents of eastern culture and western culture.we can see clearly that the Chinese have many different characters comparing with the America. Chinese people tend to be diligent and eager to learn knowledge, and they have strong awareness of unexpected development,but they lack of innovation capability. However, being different with the chinese, the American people ape to be rigorous punctual logical and like to reflect things, but they are supercilious and indifferent. The first reason is the difference of history. China exists in the world for a very long time as an integrate country. The ancient emperors try to control people's minds for pursuing the highest political power. They built the education-system to choose the official. But the content of education is fixed by the emperors. To get the political power, money and status, most of people spend the whole life to research the several fixed books. On the country, America doesn't have along history. America was controlled by British as colony after industrial revolution. And then, they took more efforts be independent, and they got it. The different history give the two countries different things. Chinese learn to be tolerance,but America are freedom to be unencumbered by the past and more emotionally attached to things to come.
The second reason relies on their political systems. Chinese
governments adopt the One-Party system. Though the government take many methods to expend the citizens' rights, the people still don't have little political rights. They depend on their own power more than the country'power. But in America, they use the Two-Party system. The citizens have rights to choose the better Party for themselves. On this point, we can see the American minds are more open than Chinese.
Then ,is the economical development factors. It is known that the superstructure is based on the economical foundation. China is a developing country, and America is a developed country. So America has the better policies for citizens life, study, research and so on than China. So Chinese tend to work hard for surviving, but American tend to find their own values.
The last factor is the different conventions in these two countries.
A people's character is affected deeply by the circumstance around him. Chinese people always are intimate with their friends and relatives. They rely on each other very much. But the American stress on their own private space.
So, we can find the difference between China and America is so big. We can find it from everywhere.。
