勇敢的心影评英文版Brave heartThere is a famous proverb which is “give me liberty or give me death”. Liberty, in another word, it means “freedom”. Before I watched the film “Brave heart”, my understanding of freedom was very simple. I just thought as long as people could have a full stomach, as long as they could obey the will of rulers, they could also have a happy life. However, there are always some people who don?t like it. They don?t want to be slaves. So, they rose in revolt to obtain freedom because they believe firmly it belongs to everyone and nobody can take it away except the god.The hero of this film is called William Wallace. He is the great leader of Scotland. He led Scottish fight with English in order to obtain freedom. However, as a result of traitors? betrayed, he was arrested by the England authorities. No matter how the English promised or threatened, Wallace never surrendered. What moved me deeply was the moment when Wallace was executed. He cried out …freedom? with all his strength. For freedom, Wallace gave his life. Also, from that moment, my understanding of freedom changed. Freedom is not only means to eat. It is a God-given gift to everyone. That means everyone has the right to resist despotism and tyranny. We are God?s children, not rulers.Though Wallace died, his spirit encouraged more people in Scotland to continue to fight for freedom. Despite the poor condition and all the difficulties, Scottish people still struggled. And eventually, they won their freedom. I thought if Wallace saw what he pursued succeed in the heaven, he must be very happy. There’s also another thing that moves me very deeply. That is the love between Wallace and his wife Murron. Wallace’sfather is also a warrior who pursues freedom and he gives his life to it. That is to say he is killed by English. When Wallace’s father dies, Wallace is just a little boy. At his father’s funeral, Wallace is very sad. However, at the end of funeral, a pretty girl gives him a flower to comfort him. Perfectly, that is a good start of a beautiful love. When Wallace grows up, he returns his village. God bless, he meets that girl. And they married. However, nightmare begins with English soldiers’ coming. In order to catch Wallace, they kill Murron. The true love is not to hang out together, not to have meals together, not to go to movies together. The true love is when one is facing difficulties, the other refuses to leave him\her. So, though knowing it is very dangerous, Wallace goes to the place of execution. For love, Wallace begins the first step of resistance. For love, Wallace is up his hat as a confidante. That is the responsibility to wife as a husband. If a man couldn’t protect his wife, how could he have the courage to resist the tyranny? As a outstanding leader, both courage and wisdom are important. But wisdom is the most important. As Wallace’s uncle told him the first thing Wallace should learn is how to use his brain then is sword. So, his uncle took him to many places and taught him many things. He inherited courage from his father but it was his uncle that gave his wisdom. Because of these two things, Wallace is able to be faithful to the yearning for freedom. This film also broke people’s general idea t hat heroes were more brave than wise. The last thing I want to say is its episode. It’s so beautiful. When the music rings, my heart seems to be open in the vast grassland. I don’t know what to, but want to run, to cry, to shout and to scream. The Scottish bagpipe is really so melodious andso free.I like this movie very much. It taught me many things. It made me understand the profound meaning of freedom. It made me understand the greatness of humannature. It made me understand what true love is. William Wallace, the hero in my heart, I will remember him forever and he will encourage me to obtain my freedom and my true love. That’s all. Thank you!。

If the money and the fair lady were not paid promptly, the English gangsters would quickly destroy their home and possesses. One of the most excellent figures in Scotland history was William Wallace, who was born in 1272. When he was young, his father was dead in the war which against with the enemy and he was brought up by his uncle. During that period, William Wallace learned the skill of fight and strategy of the war which make an important role of the later days.William Wallace unshakable faith touches my heart. Not all the people are stood up to noble, opponents or even die. I admire William Wallace for striving for freedom、his brave and cherishing his woman.Desire for freedomWhen William Wallace was child, his father and brother died for a fight .The word free first appeared in his mind through a dream that his father told him. (The concept of personal freedom was a concept not much celebrated in 1300)Your heart was free; you needed to have the courage to follow it. A history about hero was begun. William Wallace fought for Scotland’s freedom in the 13th century, as longshanks want to rule a country of one that he arranged his son to marry the daughter of his rival, the king of France in order to control the political situation. Longshanks did also Grant nobles prima noctes, first night to draw more of his supporters to Scotland. Seeing their own woman robed by nobles, men could not tolerate these happened in Scotland. As more and more nobles came to Scotland, the local pe ople suffered a lot from it. Wallace”s dying cry, as his body was stretched on the rack, was freedom! The time had come. William Wallace killed the noble who infringed upon his beloved women. At that moment William Wallace clearly realized that only freedom was primary condition to live a normal life. I remembered a sentence William Wallace said: I want children and a home and peace. I had asked god for these, but it is all for nothing if you don’t have freedom. The power of words and strategies, William Wallace influenced suffer people. And more and more people took part in fighting for freedom. His unshakable resolution leaded him to a battle about freedom. As his saying: Wars could take our lives, but they would never take our freedom. His life’s purpose and personal mission statement was to pursue freedom.Brave made one fight against exploitersThrough the cruel wars, He is an amazing battlefield strategist. Facing a major challenge, he refused to be beguiled into surrender. William Wallace is not naturally brave, because fight to the bitter end for peace and freedom. I think his brave heart derive from his childhood when he saw that the nobles’army hurls rocks at each other for entertainment. Later, when a Scotsman has his wound numb, a saying came from his heart: That’ll wake you up in the morning, boy! Just when they thought all hope was lost, William Wallace still believed Scotland would be one and freedom was not so far from them that created his brave heartFight for freedom through wars. We can see his brave somewhere in this film such as routed one of Longshanks’garrisons and murdered his noble lord.; Fight with the thousands of opponents in a war between English and Scotland; invaded Longshanks’northern army in Your; fought with Longshanks face to face; consulted with Robert the Bruce about united the nobles to built a country of their own, even knew that would be grey. He was not the one to support the noble’s rights in Scotland’s land, neither the Balliol, William Wallace’s hometown, but fought against exploiters and looked forward to peaceful life. Brave heartwas one of the important reasons that aroused people to fight for freedom and peaceful life. I think it was the power that took William Wallace over the fear of death, the fuel that propelled him toward the life you envision.True love under the warEveryone had his own true love, so did William Wallace. He was crazy in pursuit of love. But it was a pity, because in the 13th the common survived as slaves and they had less right (or even had no right)to do what they want to do, slaved for nobles, died for nobles. Love between William Wallace and Murron moved me to tears. They loved each other. They had their own land. Their love was smashed by invaders’selfish desire. Poor Murron was the victim in the war, even she was not wrong, but history arranged her dead in the 13th when a fight for freedom just begun. Nowadays, the law has made to protect our right. We can hold fast to our ideal, such as life、job、love or other else. When I see Historical films about love, I always sigh for the sad ending, which the main actor and the main actress separate, not because the ending of love, but for the history. Thanks for William Wallace; I deeply make sense of the love between people included kinship、friendship and affection. In the long history, people fought for freedom、rights and land all the time. Today we are free, but how many people dare to pursue his love or ideal, and how many people see his relatives、friends or the one he deep in love getting on a train and going away. I think we should take measures todefend our true feeling and follow it. The love between William Wallace and Murron was wonderful because they had strived for each other.William Wallace, a hero of Scotland, was excellent in Scotland history. His brave heart、unshakable faith about fighting for freedom and love have never influencing the young generation less. His heart will go on.勇敢的心影评英文(三)Directed and acted the leading role by mel.Gibson, the film “Brave Heart”is an epic. Gibson’s ‘Braveheart’ focuses on the human side of Wallace, a character so immense, so intelligent, and so passionate, exploring the definitions of honor and nobility, pushing us to follow the hero into his struggle against injustice and oppression...To make films of historical themes is difficult, It requires us not only reproduce the history, but also treat the history fairly and compress the complex and detailed history into a few hours on the screen, and lets the audience feel not boring .It is indeed difficult . But “Brave Heart” did it.Set in the late 13th century, ‘Braveheart’ is the story of one of Sco tland’s greatest national heroes Sir William Wallace, leader of the Scottish resistance forces during the first years of the long, ultimately successful struggle to free Scotland from English rule. The story itself is simple and clear and the theme is also clearly conveyed. While William Wallace ,distinguished as Braveheart ,is still a young boy,he witnesses theking`s betrayal and cruelty:all the scots carrying on peace negotiations are hanged , even their servants are not excluded.Young Wallace`s father and brother died in the battle against the English and his uncle took him to the European continent to receive schooling. When he returns to his hometown ,Wallace has grown up into a brave, handsome, and well--educated man.He marries his childhood sweetheart Murron in secret so that the local English lord won`t claim his right of “prima nota” and intends to live an idyllic life.He does not see the true face of Longshanks until he witnesses his wife killed by the English soilders. It makes his blood boil.He and his people raise the standard of revolt and struggle for freedom. He becomes the true leader and it proves that he is the very person—the raging tide of revolation surges forward, smashing all resistance and advances victoriously everywhere. But Robort 1`s betrayal results in Wallace`s fall to the English and the failure of the revolt.Consequently,Wallace was captured, tortured and executed as a traitor, but his dying cry”Freedom” stimulates his people and finally they win the day. It`s an ambitious pictures, big in simple emotions like love, patriotism an treachery, and it avoids th travelogue look of so many historical swashbucklers:its locations look green, wet, vast ,muddy an rugged.Just from a technical point of view,Brave Heart does a brilliant jo o assing me and horses fo large—scale warfare on film. And th battle scenes arfrequent, bloody, and violent.Gibson deploys what look like thousands of me o orseback,as we a oot soilders an archers, and ye his battle sequences don`t turn into confusing crowd scenes.Giboson, just like th hero Wallace in th film, marshals hi armies of extras, his stuntmen an special effects, and creates a fictional world that is entertaining an thrilling. The make-up in the film is also remarkable.Wallace`s golden yellow hair makes him look like a lion, full of power and energy. The actors` clothes are simple and crude, primitive as well, making the atmosphere feel real. When Wallace leads his men into battle , their faces were painted blue, like football fans, crazy and enthusiastic. As for films,it is monotonous to tell a story of war only,of course,Brave Heart avoid it successfully. Here we should mention another soul in the film, the princess, played by the French actress Sophie Marceau. The marriage between her and Edward`s son,the prince of Wales,is only for political reasons. She soon falls in love with Wallace and just “because of the way you look at me”.She becomes the second love in Wallace`s life. The two romance, together with those spectacular battle scenes, expertly directed by the magnetic star, help compensate for the film`s uneven script and overlength. It is sometimes seen as an egotistical gesture when actors direct themselves, especially in heroic epics costing $53 million. The truth is,given this material, few could have directed it better. And as BraveHeart,Gibson plays his role with flameboyance, and cuts it with sly humor. He is an amazing battlefield strategist, inventing new strategies and weapons, outsmarting the English at every turn, leading his men into battle with hope. There is a scene where he is so pumped up with the scent of battle that his nostrils flare;not many actors could get away with that ,but Gibson can .We will remember Wallace as a Scots Spartacus but wearing a kilt.A powerful passionate film about a powerful, passionate man! It’s a film that weaves a fascinating trail through the 14th century while delivering breathtaking battle scenes and some haunting plot lines . This is three hours’ worth of gripping drama, which spares nothing on either the visceral or the emotional front . Braveheart may have its critics , but there’s no denying this is an achievement.。

this movie is a very touching love story. William lost beloved woman, it means losing the only love of life, suddenly of heart desperate for power, revenge for the loss of love, so he killed the Scottish soldiers and chieftains. I understand it as a fight for the love of battle. This is actually a blasting fuse, the real highlight of the Scottish people with the pursuit of freedom in William's leadership, the struggle against the King of England. So we can say that the light of freedom is the most eye-catching thing. However, human nature once again deceived William, when he was betrayed noble chieftains sent after the trial units in England, when William learned that his dream of freedom can be completed, and only mind eagerly looking forward to it! At the time, as long as he can head down to England, he confessed to treason and asked for mercy, he can get the most enjoyment of relief, replacing many of the lingering death of torture. But William the finalcalls out from the throat or the "free" word. This is his deep, strong cry, he would rather lose his body could not betray his heart! England at this time the public was moved by whom, and they seem to see a real hero! William has a brave heart!William”s life was strang led and decapitated! When the ax head down towards him the moment he saw his wife the former Founder directed at his smile, seemed to admire his courage, love and freedom, while William seems to have been! Brave heart, after all, is the brave! He uses his own blood stirred up the Scottish people longing for freedom!Sudden death, left to the people is a constant moving! Able to adhere to the death of their convictions, this is a heroic bosom. Free about life, William has become a finished, for this faith, have nothing to fear death?Today, we are in a period of relative peace; the meaning of freedom seems to transform our way of interpreting it. So, what belief is it that touches the bottom of our souls? What does William”s spirit mean? Have a belief, this b elief should work hard to ourspiritual life is a driving force upward, right? Otherwise, our souls will be slack, will be illusory, in that sense, we have one of their own faiths, although not great and noble William, but enough to sustain our lives! It is the innocent and romantic memory of first love full of fragrance of purple thistle that invokes William Wallace in returning homeland. The purple thistle that Murron gives William Wallace at his father”s burial symbolizes the immortal love. Under the horrible shade of cruel oppression of England they struggle for their perfect love courageously. Unfortunately, Murron is seized and killed ruthlessly by an English official so that William Wallace”s heart is stricken by great grief and pain. The moment he kills the wicked official to take his revenge he realizes the essential responsibility placed on his shoulders. He changes his individual anguish into enormous power of national spirit so as to devote himself to the innumerable and arduous combats for the great freedom of Scotland.?During war, maybe the most fatal threat is not the formidable weapons but the confused and evil hearts. The Scottish aristocrats yield to England andbetray William Wallace twice. It is in the second time William Wallace is arrested and killed inhumanly.Fighting? What's fighting?!What for? Every man in the world may go to fight, for peace, for freedom,or just for rage. These days I watched some excellent movies which received many awards in their times.Yesterday,I just finished watching Brave excellent movie did gain tremendous achievements in those days .For instance,it was awarded Best Cinematography,Best Director,Best Effects, Sound Effects Editing,Best Makeup,Best Picture in Oscar and so on.The acting is amazing, and the ending was that happens in this movie is unpredicted, such as Murron's death,William's participation in the battle, the reneging of Robert which caused by his father actually, and so on. The amount of courage and bravery was do respect for those heroes's courage very , I was shocked by their unjustice did not deserve so miserable a way of dying!! I hate Robert's old man is really rascal! He broke his son's promise to Williamnot only once, and it's he who brought William to death! Fortunately, the young leader,Robert the Bruce, was able to lead the fight for the scots freedom at for his bravery and justice. In addition,I respect the courage of other captains as well, such as fight for their sire, their grate William Wallace, the macaulish!Furthermore, when Iooked deep into their eyes, it remind me of the fight between Naruto and was surprised to find the same meaning in the eyes of these brave fighters! I admire them!I am so aflame in my heart after watching the movie that I hardly calm down, let alone to go to sleep...Brave Heart,as valiant as heroes! I will treasure the precious movies up.范文三Set in the late 13th century, 'Braveheart' is the story of one of Scotland's greatest national heroes Sir William Wallace. leader of the Scottish resistance forces during thefirst years of the long, ultimately successful struggle to free Scotland from English rule...Crucially charismatic in the title role, Gibson plays the heroic figure and emerges as a remarkable hero with wit and romantic soul, determined to rid his country of its English oppressors...Wallace's revolution was set in motion, with great obstacles from his countrymen... Many Scottish nobles lent him only grudging support as most of them were more concerned with wealth and titles than the freedom of the country... In fact, the Scottish leaders are in favor of revolt-or not-depending on English bribes... Wallace, by comparison, is a man of honor, incorruptible and righteous... He was knighted and proclaimed 'guardian and high protector of Scotland,' but as much as he railed against the Scottish nobles, submitted to Edward I, King of England, he was astonished and in shock to discover the treachery of the leading Scot contender for the throne—Robert, the Earl of Bruce—to whom he confided , 'The people would follow you, if you would only lead them.' Sophie Marceau is exquisite as thedistressed princess Isabella of France who ends up falling in love with Wallace, warning him out of several traps...Catherine McCormack is a stunning beauty who ignites Wallace's revolution...Patrick McGoohan is chilling, brutal, and vicious as the ruthless Edward I, known by the nickname 'Longshanks.' This king remains simply the embodiment of evil...While Angus McFadyen moves as a nobleman torn between his conscience and political aspiration, and Brendan Gleeson brings strength and humor to his role as the robust Hamish, David O'Hara is very effective as the crazy Irishman who provides much of the film's comic relief from even the most tensed moments...Mel Gibson has reason to be proud of 'Braveheart.' It is a motion picture that dares to be excessive... Gibson presents passionately the most spaciously impressive battles (yet staged for films) even excessively, and it is his passion and excess that make the motion picture great... The horror and futility of massed hand-to-hand combats areexciting rather repulsive... It is epic film-making at its glorious best...Gibson's 'Braveheart' focuses on the human side ofWallace, a character so immense, so intelligent, and so passionate, exploring the definitions of honor and nobility, pushing us to follow the hero into his struggle against injustice and oppression...。

勇敢的心观后感英文

勇敢的心观后感英文Recently, I had the opportunity to watch the movie "Braveheart," a powerful historical drama set in medieval Scotland. The film left a lasting impression on me, not only because of its superb storytelling and stunning visuals but also due to the inspiring theme of courage and liberation. As a viewer, I was deeply moved by the unwavering strength of the human spirit portrayed in the film."Braveheart" tells the story of William Wallace, a Scottish warrior who leads a rebellion against the oppressive rule of the English. The film takes us on a journey through his life, from a young boy witnessing the brutality of the English in his village to becoming a legendary hero and symbol of Scottish resistance. Throughout the movie, themes of sacrifice, freedom, and courage are beautifully explored. One of the most striking aspects of the film is Mel Gibson's portrayal of William Wallace. Gibson's performance is captivating and his ability to convey emotions without relying on spoken words is admirable. Wallace's courage and determination are palpable, and it is impossible not to be inspired by his unwavering belief in freedom and justice. Gibson's performance truly brings the character to life, making him a relatable and memorable protagonist.Another notable aspect of "Braveheart" is its depiction of the Scottish landscape and culture. The breathtaking scenery, with its lush green valleys and rugged mountains, creates a powerful backdrop for the story. The film also delves into the Scottish traditions and values, painting a vivid picture of a proud nation with a strong sense of identity and unity. This portrayal addsdepth and authenticity to the narrative, making it more than just a historical epic.As I watched "Braveheart," I couldn't help but be reminded of the importance of individual courage in the face of adversity. The film explores the concept of bravery in different ways, highlighting the courage of the common people who rise up against their oppressors, as well as the personal courage of William Wallace himself. It serves as a powerful reminder that sometimes, even the smallest actions can have a significant impact on the course of history.Throughout the movie, there are several scenes that stand out for their emotional impact. The Battle of Stirling Bridge, in which Wallace and his army face off against the English, is particularly memorable. The intensity of the fighting, combined with the emotional stakes involved, creates a sense of urgency and tension. The scene serves as a pivotal moment in the film, showcasing both the physical and emotional toll of war.Another emotionally resonant scene is the execution of Wallace. His unwavering bravery in the face of death is deeply moving, and the symbolism of his final act serves as a rallying cry for freedom. Despite the tragic outcome, Wallace's sacrifice becomes a catalyst for the Scottish people, galvanizing them to continue fighting for their independence. It is a poignant reminder that sometimes, the greatest acts of courage come at a great personal cost.In conclusion, "Braveheart" is a film that leaves a lasting impact on its viewers. Its portrayal of courage, sacrifice, and liberation is both inspiring and thought-provoking. Through the character of William Wallace, the filmchallenges us to question our own values and beliefs and to find the strength to stand up for what we believe in. It serves as a reminder that bravery can come in many forms and that even in the darkest times, the human spirit has the power to overcome.。

Just when they thought all hope was lost, William Wallace still believed Scotlandwould be one and freedom was not so far from them that created his brave heartFight for freedom through wars. We can see his brave somewhere in this film such as routed one of Longshanks’ garrisons and murdered his noble lord.; Fight with the thousands of opponents in a war between English and Scotland; invaded Longshanks’ northern army in Your; fought with Longshanks face to face; consulted with Robert the Bruce about united the nobles to built a country of their own, even knew that would be grey. He was not the one to support the noble’s rights in Scotla nd’s land, neither the Balliol, William Wallace’s hometown, but fought against exploiters and looked forward to peaceful life. Brave heart was one of the important reasons that aroused people to fight for freedom and peaceful life. The ir love was smashed by invaders’ selfish desire. Thanks for WilliamWallace; I deeply make sense of the love between people included kinship、friendship and affection. In the long history, people fought for freedom、rights and land all the time. Today we are free, but how many people dare to pursue his love or ideal, and how many people see his relatives、friends or the one he deep in love getting on a train and going away. I think we should take measures to defend our true feeling and follow it. Gibson's 'Braveheart' focuses on the human side of Wallace, a character so immense, so intelligent, and so passionate, exploring the definitions of honor and nobility, pushing us to follow the hero into his struggle against injustice and oppression...To make films of historical themes is difficult, It requires us not only reproduce the history, but also treat the history fairly and compress the complex and detailed history into a few hours on the screen, and lets the audience feel not boring .It is indeed difficult . But "Brave Heart" did it.Set in the late 13th century, 'Braveheart' is the story of one of Scotland's greatest national heroes Sir William Wallace, leader of the Scottish resistance forces during the first years of the long, ultimately successful struggle to free Scotland from Englishrule. The story itself is simple and clear and the theme is also clearly conveyed. While William Wallace ,distinguished as Braveheart ,is still a young boy,he witnesses the king`s betrayal and cruelty:all the scots carrying on peace negotiations are hanged , even their servants are not excluded.Young Wallace`s father and brother died in the battle against the English and his uncle took him to the European continent to receive schooling. And th battle scenes ar frequent, bloody, and violent.Gibson deploys what look like thousands of me o orseback,as we a oot soildersan archers, and ye his battle sequences don`t turn into confusing crowd scenes.Giboson, just like th hero Wallace in th film, marshals hi armies of extras, his stuntmen an special effects, and creates a fictional world that is entertaining an thrilling. She soon falls in love with Wallace and j ust “because of the way you look at me”.She becomes the second love in Wallace`s life(the first is murron). And as Brave Heart,Gibson plays his role with flameboyance, and cuts it with sly humor. He is an amazing battlefield strategist, inventing new strategies and weapons, outsmarting the English at every turn, leading his men into battle with hope. There is a scene where he is so pumped up with the scent of battle that his nostrils flare;not many actorscould get away with that ,but Gibson can .We will remember Wallace as a Scots Spartacus but wearing a kilt.A powerful passionate film about a powerful, passionate man! It's a film that weaves a fascinating trail through the 14th century while delivering breathtaking battle scenes and some haunting plot lines . This is three hours' worth of gripping drama, which spares nothing on either the visceral or the emotional front (the ending, in which Wallace finally gets his come-uppance, is genuine lump-in-the-throat stuff). Braveheart may have its critics (and its biggest fans are nationalists), but there's no denying this is an achievement.。

1 INTRODUCTION
1.1 Research Background
On September 18th, 2014, the Scottish Independence Referendum attracted worldwide attention. Its conference is essential to Scotland’s freedom and independence. As a result, the negative votes from 55% Scottish voters declared that the plan to separate Scotland from Britain came to nothing. Scotland and England always kept reticular relationship. The former was once an independent country, and merged into the Great Britain in 1707, because England had to prevent Scotland from entering into an alliance with France again, and Scotland badly needed to walk out from economic plight with the help of England. From that on, they kept united in a long term as a result of England’s concession in terms of trade, revenue, judiciary and religion. However, Scottish independence movement rose to its climax since the end of the World War II, due to the historical causes and practical factors. The latter refers to the lost oversea colonies with declined attractiveness of the British Empire and the backward Scottish economy with increasingly enhanced national identity(田利华,2014). Scotland and England repeatedly put separation and reunion on the stage, but if Scottish definitely pursuit the thorough freedom, what kind of requirement should they meet?
