New York is situated in the mouth of the Hudson river and consists of five boroughs: The Bronx, Brooklyn, Manhattan, Queens, and Staten Island. It’s home for 3 000 000 people. Queens is the largest in area, the second largest in population, and the easternmost of the five boroughs.
New York played a very important role during the Revolutionary War. The Battle of Saratoga was the turning point of the war. New York's constitution was adopted in 1777, and strongly influenced the United States Constitution.
