The SERIES SGY & SGZ Gages have dual psi and bar (x100 kPa) scales with ±1.5% full-scale accuracy. The Series SGZ and SGY gages are designed with 304 SS housings and the SGZ is designed with 316 SS wetted parts for excellent chemical compatibility or SGY brass wetted parts for compatible gases. These gages cover a wide variety of ranges in either bottom or back connection configurations. Series SGZ gages employ an easy-open breather plug on top, which allows liquid filled units to breathe, relieving any built up internal pressures. Plug easily pops open and does not need to be entirely removed or cut like a typical gages’ rubber plug grommet. The contacts open or close electrical circuits in relation to the position of the pointer on the pressure gauge.Our contact pressure gauges with the Bourdon tube system are used at process pressures of approximately 1 bar and upwards. The materials used make the gauges suitable for chemically aggressive gases or liquids, although these may not be too viscous or be susceptible to crystallization. The inexpensive tried and tested Bourdon tube system coupled with a modern modular principle provides a very reliable yet inexpensive contact pressure gauge.Gauges with liquid filling are damped if pressure pulses or mechanical vibrations arise. This extends the service life and the gauge display remains largely vibration free. The location of the pressure connection at the bottom or back allows different methods of installation.Electrical alarm contacts are used as magnetic snap-action contacts, especially in harsh industrial conditions. The high contact pressure and the choice of different electrical contact materials enable high currents to be switched reliably. If the electrical switching capacities of the alarm contacts are exceeded or not reached (see DE 1231), a relay is to be used to provide an appropriate current rating (see DD 1230).Inductive alarm contacts operate without physical contact and thus have no unfavourable effects on the pressure measuring system while having an unlimited service life. A control unit is always needed to operate these contacts. Description
The time proven system technology of the glycerine pressure gauges has been integrated in a new stainless steel case with modern design. This instrument fulfills the safety requirements of EN 837-1/S2.
The glycerine filling of the case protects the measuring system against wear by pulsating pressures and mechanical vibration; at the same time it provides lubrification of the moving parts.
The glycerine pressure gauges are suitable for gaseous and liquid media that do not corrode copper alloys.
The pressure gauges are equipped with a pressure compensating diaphragm.
This diaphragm avoids a pressure rise in the case that is due to temperature bound volume expansion of the liquid filling, thus avoiding indicated errors.
The mounting bracket offers a possibility of quick modification for panel mounting with series P1453.
