Bethany listened to the vampire's story, feeling a mix of fear and sympathy. She realized that she had been wrong to assume that all vampires were evil creatures who preyed on the innocent. Thevampire before her seemed more like a lonely, misunderstood soul.From that day on, Bethany visited the vampire every night, bringing him small gifts and treats. She learned that his name was Alexander, and that he had once been a man like her until he was bitten by another vampire and transformed.Over time, Bethany and Alexander became good friends, and the villagers no longer feared the creature in the forest.
