本标准适用于组织机构名称、组织机构地址及职务职称的英文译法。
2规范性引用文件下列文件中的条款通过本标准的引用而成为本部分的条款。
凡是注日期的引用文件，其随后所有的修改单(不包括勘误的内容)或修订版均不适用于本标准,然而，鼓励根据本标准达成协议的各方研究是否可使用这些文件的最新版本。
凡是不注日期的引用文件，其最新版本适用于本标准。
GB/T 16159 汉语拼音正词法基本规则DB11/T 334 公共场所双语标识英文译法通则DB11/T 334.1 公共场所双语标识英文译法道路交通3基本要求3.1英文单词应采用美式拼法。
3.2组织机构名称中实意单词首字母大写，连字符“-”后首字母大写，例如：Sub-District。
3.3职务职称作为专有名词时，实意单词首字母大写，连字符“-”后首字母大写。
3.4汉语拼音用法应符合GB/T 16159的要求。
4组织机构译法4.1通用名词译法4.1.1委员会委员会可译为commission或者committee。
相对独立、承担有一定普适性管理职能的委员会一般译为commission，例如：北京市教育委员会，译为Beijing Municipal Commission of Education。

委员会
委员会可译为commission或者committee。
相对独立、承担有一定普适性管理职能的委员会一般译为commission，例如：北京市教育委员会，译为Beijing Municipal Commission of Education。
Vice或deputy后不带连字符“-”。
主任
主任，译为director。司局级（含）以上单位的译为director-general，委员会主任译为chairman。
专业技术职称
专业技术职称不区分性别，例如：一级演员，无论男女均译为Class-I actor。
技术等级一般用Class加罗马数字表示，例如：一级导演，译为Class-I director,三级公证员Class-III notary。

本标准规定组织机构、职务职称英文译法的通用原则。
本标准适用于组织机构名称、组织机构地址及职务职称的英文译法。

下列文件中的条款通过本标准的引用而成为本部分的条款。凡是注日期的引用文件，其随后所有的修改单（不包括勘误的内容）或修订版均不适用于本标准,然而，鼓励根据本标准达成协议的各方研究是否可使用这些文件的最新版本。凡是不注日期的引用文件，其最新版本适用于本标准。
经营管理性质的译为management committee，例如：北京农产品中央批发市场管理委员会，译为Management Committee of Beijing Central Agricultural Product Wholesale Market。

公共场所的“管理处”，译为management office，例如：颐和园管理，译为Beijing Summer PalaceManagement Office。

组织机构英文地址按照从小到大的顺序排列，例如：北京市东城区钱粮胡同3号，译为3 Qianliang Hutong，Dongcheng District, Beijing。
市、区作为地域概念修饰词时，译为municipal和district，直接放在被修饰的名词如“局、委”之前，而不采用介词短语的方式，例如：密云县公安局，译为Miyun County Bureau of Public Security。
组织机构的从属关系应描述清晰完整，例如：北京市东城区妇女联合会，译为Dongcheng District Women’s Federation of Beijing Municipality。
其他机构
协会译为association，联合会译为federation，学会译为society或institute，集团公司译为group，某某有限公司译为XXX Co. Ltd.，某某控股公司译为XXX Holdings Company或XXX Holdings Co. Ltd.。

局译为bureau。市级局和区（县）级局均译为bureau，级别属性由上下文表述，例如：北京市商务局，译为Beijing Municipal Bureau of Commerce。北京市东城区商务局，译为Dongcheng District Bureau of Commerce of Beijing Municipality。
有多重从属属性的组织机构，在名称翻译时，应尽量避免重复使用介词，例如：中国共产主义青年团北京市丰台区委员会，译为Beijing Fengtai District Committee of Communist Youth League of China。
定冠词
定冠词尽量不用，例如：北京市东城区人民政府民族宗教侨务办公室，译为Ethnic, Religious and Overseas Chinese Affairs Office of Dongcheng District People’s Government of Beijing Municipality。
“副”宜译为deputy，例如：副区长，译为deputy district mayor,副主任deputy director,副处长deputy division director。
