His sense of humor was delightful, and he was very mischievous. And I remember the night before Taylor’s weeding and he had called me prior and asked if I would join him. He didn’t want to be alone for all the festivities. And it was the night before the big day. Michael and I tried to sneak in to get the first peek of the dress. We were giggling like crazy, and we almost passed out in his hysterics when we realized that Elizabeth was actually asleep in the bed. We thought she was in an entirely different room. We had to laugh and sneak out.迈克尔的笑声是我听过的最甜美,最纯净的笑声。

When asked again if hehad been reinvented before being paroled, Rhett said frankly, "Reinvented Idont quite understand the meaning of this word.I used to repent every day, notbecause I was here, or because you thought I should repent.I tried to tell theyoung man who had sinned in the past what was right and wrong, but he could notfind it.Only the old man was left with white hair. The Shawshank Redemptionpointed out the way to salvation.God walks with the human soul at alltimes! In the name of religion, doctrine, law and even justice, many people inmodern society, like The warden NORTON, have lost their basic honesty andcharacter as a human being in the name of personal and group self-interest, inthe name of eXculpation, rhetoric and sophistry. When a man is accustomed toacting and without introspection, he has fallen into the hell of eternaldamnation, let alone redemption!肖申克的救赎英语演讲稿篇2Based on the Stephen King (non-horror) novella “Rita Hayworth and theShawshank Redemption”, this is a simple story of hope made remarkable by theinteraction between the two leadcharacters. Both Tim Robbins and Morgan Freemando a fine job in terms of making their roles genuine and appealing, and also inthe way they work so well together. The production values throughout areoutstanding, but this is not a “fancy”film.Rather, it sticks to the story itis telling without resorting to flashy tricks to grab the audience’s attention.Although there is violence, some of it eXtreme, it is necessary to show the kindof place the prison is and is certainly not gratuitous. The main theme is hope, not despair, and the violence serves only as a backdrop to that message.Unashamedly a feelgood movie, by the end one is wishing only that it wouldcontinue for a few more moments.肖申克的救赎英语演讲稿篇3Today,I will introduce a movie to you know this movieWho have watched this movie beforeOk, one question for you.Just imagine you are caught by police one day for some reason. All the evidence show that you have killed someone, but actually you are innocent, somebody else is responsible. Finally, you are sent into prison for a sentence of several years. What will you do No evidence can prove your innocence. All of you can think about this question, because it does happen in our reallife.what do you thinkNow this happens to the hero in this s see what the hero will do.This is our hero,Andy, a banker, whowas wrongly accused of murdering his wife, and is sentenced to two consecutive life sentences at is Norton, thewarden,a cruel man .Here is Red ,if youre sensitive enough, you can find Red is the first three letters of Redemption, rightRed is rejected for parole after having served twenty years of his and Andy gradually became friends.Red is able to get some small goods for the prisoners, so Andy asked Red for a rock hammer because of his interest in carving rocks with this hammer, Andy escaped from the is amazing.Andy dug a big hole on the wall for 19 years and hid it with a poster, just beyond our imagination. He crawled through 500 yards and then a pipe full of shitsmelling dirty water lly he got freedom. You know, the freedom is waiting for you out of theshawshank.Consequently, If i were Andy ,i can break through the dirty water. But what about 19 years to dig a big you do it.Another thing is,do you think Andy is just keeping digging every day during the 19 years Of course not.I think this is the most amazing part of the movie. He played music, every man felt free;he eXpanded the library by writing one letter per weeks to the government to ask for money to rebuild the liberary; he helped Tommy to readfrom ABCs.Whats more,he helped the guards do taX returns, even including course, he would help Norton, because Norton killed y can prove his of the prison ,Andy mailed nortonsevidence of crime to the government, and then his judgment will unavoidable come.He killed himself.Red was faced with the same situation with Brooks, after he was out of the prison. That is he cannot adapt himself to the life out of the prion, and even worse, he have no hope about his new life out theshawshank. But, finally, because of Andy, Red found a different way of life, full of once said,"hope is a good thing, maybe the best of things and no good thing ever dies." so he decided to go to BuXton and start a new met again in the coast of Pacafic Ocean.Because time is limited, i cant mention all the details of the d better watch it yourself, everyone could find something precious ks foryou attention!肖申克的救赎英语演讲稿篇4Remember, Hope is a good thing, maybe the best of things and no good thing ever dies! Andy in the film there is such a word: " Dont forget that there are ...Places ...In the world that are not made up of stone, there is something ...Inside ...That they can not get to ...That is hope ( dont forget the world through walls, all things, theressomething inside, that they cannot get to, that they cannot touch, that is hope ) ".Indeed, as ANDY said, the wall can bind our body freedom, even in the system that can bind our spiritual freedom, but only hope can not give up.Lose hope of life is dull, lifeless, and even there is no significance.ANDY in my heart has not abandoned the desire for freedom, but he has also been hope for their own efforts -- every night to use the hammer to dig RED that hundreds of years to dig through the wall. And for RED and BROOKS, they had to give up hope, because in their view of hope can only make yourself more pain, even think hope is the source of the pain.A man in the 19 years of painful prison life, do not give up longing for freedom, this is a kind of spiritual beliefs, so he succeeded, recapturing their freedom, the judgment of the Lord fell quickly.肖申克的救赎英语演讲稿篇5Shawshank Redemption is a film co-operated by white people and black people. It told a story about the life in the prison.A man called Andy Dufresne, was sent into the prison, Shawshank, for he murderer his wife and her lover in bed. However, he was innocent as he said. The new days in the prison were hard to live. It’s violent, heartless and cruel.A month later, Andy began to make friends with otherprisoners. One of them called Red, who could get anything what he wanted.Andy bought a mallet from him and started his plan to escape.During this time, he did many things: eXpanding the library, caving stones, making tainted money for the prison governor, etc.It took him 20 years to tunnel secretly and he successfully escaped from the prison. Before that, Andy had told his best friend Red that his dream---Zihuatanejo, a warm place without memory. After escaping, Andy lived a free life in another identity and made the prison governor arrested.Several years later, Red was approved to leave. He had lived inside for 40 years. He was institutionized.Sometimes he thought of getting back again as he didn’t belong the world, but he didn’t, for the promise to Andy. Finally, in Zihuyatanejo, they met.It is a good film. The cruel prison life terrified me and the friendship moved me.The story goes to a happy ending---redemption.肖申克的救赎英语演讲稿篇6The story took place in banker Andy, had misjudgment committed the crime of murder which suddenly pushed Andy’s life to a world of was sentenced to life imprisonment, sent to Shawshank .However, Andy did not give up hope successfully escaped from prison and gave free The story may sound simple, but the truth behind the words is remarkable. When I heard the name of the film first time, I considered the Shawshank to be a man’ name, but in face it is a jail——a hell in the world. Not only for the inhumanity of the jailors——they behaved rudely but also for the jail gnawed at people’ heart by keeping them waiting and waiting as life passed. It seemed that only those utterly worthless people who gave up everything could survive. That’s where the story happened. The part impressed me most is when Andy got out of the jail.He eXtended his arms in front of him in the heavy rain as if he were welcoming the fresh air and the freedom. At that moment, I saw the faith win the darkness, discharging light dazzling the eyes in the dark blue sky.Under the light, I could feel my recreant innermost being shivering as his voice said: “Remember, Hope is a good thing, maybe the best of things and no good thing ever dies!”That’s why I like this film: it encourages people to fight to preserve the dignity of human beings, to appreciate the beauty of life, and the most important is to keep hope forever.Everyone is the same. The only difference is whether busy living or busy dying.肖申克的救赎英语演讲稿篇7Based on the Stephen King (non-horror) novella “Rita Hayworth and the Shawshank Redemption”, this is a simple story of hope made remarkable by the interaction between the two lead characters. Both Tim Robbins and Morgan Freeman do a fine job in terms of making their roles genuine and appealing, and also in the way they work so well together. The production values throughout are outstanding, but this is not a “fancy”film.Rather, it sticks to the story it is telling without resorting to flashy tricks to grab the audience’s attention.Although there is violence, some of it message.Unashamedly a feelgood movie, by the end one is wishing only that it would continue for a few more moments.肖申克的肖申克的救赎英语演讲稿篇8The story took place in 1940.A man who is a banker called Andy Dufresne, was sent into the Shawshank prison, for he murderer his wife and her lover in bed. However, he was innocent as he said. The new days in the prison were hard to live. It’s violent, heartless and cruel.Nevertheless, A month later, Andy began to make friends with other prisoners. And one of themcalled Red, who could get anything what he wanted.Andy bought a mallet from him and started his plan to escape.During this time, he did many things: eXpanding the library, caving stones, helping the corrupt warden to get money or bribe, etc. Then a young prisoner’s coming break his quiet life in jail. But the warden killed the young prisoner the only man that knew Andy was innocent. Then he knew the prison he could not stay any more.It took him 20 years to tunnel secretly and he successfully escaped from the prison. When he got free, Andy sent the evident which could prove the warden corruption, briber and murdering to the policy agency. Before that, Andy had told his best friend Red that his dream---Zihuatanejo, a warm place without memory. After escaping, Andy lived a free life in another identity and made the prison governor arrested.Several years later, Red was approved to leave.for the promise to Andy. Finally, in Zihuyatanejo, they met.The cruel prison life terrified me and the friendship moved me.The story goes to a happy ending---redemption.This film impressed me a lot.A sentence was said in the film: ’Some birds aren"t meant to be caged, but most birds will choose to stand it.’In this film, as we can see, the Shawshank Prison, whichenjails lots of people. They have been in the prison form many years ,so they won’t go abroad.Because they won’t and also they can’t.They lived here for years without hope, and they lived just in the small prison, where nobody knows what is their dream and what’s their hope.As I remember, a old man Brooks was released after he had been in the jail for 50 years. But he found that the world became completely different from the world he imagined. For eXample, he seldom see cars before. He felt very strange and helpless to the outside world He can hardly adapt to the new developed world. He would rather stay in the prison. So unfortunately he chose to commit suicide. However, on the contrary, Andy said a converse sentence:’ Some birds aren"t meant to be caged, that"s all.Their feathers are just too bright’He long for the freedom and strive for it! What I remember very clearly is someone said that These walls are kind of funny things like that.First, you hate them, then you get used to them.Enough time passed, get so you depend on them. That is institutionalizing. But Andy hadn’t been affected. He insisted on his faith of freedom. He dared to pursue his deserved freedom! That’s the first point I appreciate. What’s more, another thing I think is friendship.Of course, Andy’s perseverance and endeavor is the main reason that hesucceed in escaping. But it can’t be denying that friendship is also a important reason.Without the friends’ help in the prison, especially red’s, He can’t break the prison, too.Even in the jail which is the most evil place that Andy could make it a significance place. He had transformed a storage room smelling of turpentine into the best prison library in New England. Then the prisoners read the books and got knowledge from it.Andy also helped them to pass the high school equivalency. The glitters of him lighted others’ life. That helps him built many sincere friendships in the prison. He just too bright that didn’t belong to the prison .Then he escape and gained the freedom.Furthermore, the patience, courage and b willpower are the keys to escape.20 years, not a short ordeal time, but he endured. He made his plan day by day, week by week and year by year.He never gives up.he took nearly twenty years to dip a tunnel with a little rock hammer which Red said it would take a man 600 years to tunnel under the wall with one of these to fight for his free .And he did it finally. Please imagine, crossing the tunnel he dup, he still should crawled through five hundred yards of shit-smelling foulness. That is the length of five football fields. Then is the last but not least, I think. He has the bright brain ,the never fading persistent, and the mostimportant thing----hope.Just as Andy said to Red: Hope is a good thing, may be the best of things. In this film, Andy show us that how good thing the hope is.Yes,hope is a good thing.Whatever it is, it can’t lock the hope.We all have dream. We all have hope.We all have it and please never give up, like Andy. This film, Shawshank Redemption, teaches me a lot.It deserves to be one of the most overwhelming films in the Hollywood.肖申克的救赎英语演讲稿篇9Hope is a good thing, maybe the best of things and no good thing ever dies! I can’t agree with it any more.In the film, the walls of the prison can bind people’s freedom. But they can not deprive people’s hope. The hero, Andy, never abandons the desire for freedom, and he keeps up working for his hope.Every night andy uses the little hammer to dig the wall that in others’opinion, it will takes hundreds of years to dig through. He makes all preparations for leaving the prison. So he succeeds, and regains the precious freedom. It is hope that helps Andy get through painful prison life and regain the freedom. At the same time, hope saves his friend’s life too. Therefore, in real life, no matter how difficult the situation is, we shouldn’t give up our hope.We should stick to work hard for the hope.In this way our life will not lose its significance. So please remember,Hope is a good thing, and no good thing ever dies!。

Scarlett is twelve years old (“Thirteen in November,” she tells me), and is trying to understand the world around her. She asks questions about everything, all the time.這位是斯嘉丽,在阳光明媚的夏日清晨,在伦敦一个朋友家的花园里,那是一个英格兰不寻常的早晨。

I tell her that I want to ask her a question, and I ask her why she’s called Scarlett, and what the name means, and if it comes from anywhere in particular1. She says,“No,it’s just a stupid2 name my parents chose3 because they liked it. It doesn’t mean anything.”我告诉她,我想问她一个问题,她为什么叫斯嘉丽,这个名字有什么意思,是不是来自某个特定的地方。

她说:“不是,这只是我父母选的一个蠢名字,因为他们喜欢它,没什么意思。

Ladies and Gentlemen,Good morning/afternoon/evening. It is my great honor to stand before you today and share with you a message that has deeply resonated with me: the power of determination and dreams. As we delve into the realm of Marvel, a universe filled with superheroes and supervillains, let us extract the lessons that can inspire us all to achieve greatness.Firstly, let us acknowledge the Marvel universe. It is a world where ordinary people discover their extraordinary potential, where dreams are not just aspirations but realities. In this vast cosmos, we have witnessed the rise of heroes such as Spider-Man, Iron Man, Captain America, and the Avengers. They are not just fictional characters; they are symbols of our own inner strength and the power of perseverance.Imagine a world where a teenager from Queens, New York, is bitten by a radioactive spider and gains extraordinary powers. Instead of succumbing to despair, he embraces his destiny and becomes Spider-Man, dedicating his life to protecting the innocent. Peter Parker's journey teaches us that adversity can be our greatest teacher, and our challenges can become the stepping stones to our triumphs. Now, let us look at Tony Stark, the genius inventor who creates the Iron Man suit. Despite his intelligence and resources, Tony faces his own demons of arrogance and ego. It is through his struggles that he learns the importance of humility and responsibility. Iron Man's story reminds us that even the brightest minds can find purpose and fulfillment by serving others.Captain America, the epitome of American ideals, embodies the essence of bravery, sacrifice, and unwavering integrity. Steve Rogers faces insurmountable odds, but his unwavering commitment to justice and the greater good propels him to greatness. Captain America teaches us that our values and principles are what define us and guide us through the darkest of times. The Avengers, a team of superheroes with diverse backgrounds and abilities, remind us that unity and collaboration are key to overcomingadversity. Together, they face threats that no single hero could handle alone. The Avengers teach us that we are stronger when we work together, combining our unique talents and strengths to create a force that can conquer any challenge. As we reflect on the Marvel universe, we can draw several valuable lessons that can inspire us in our own lives:1. Embrace Your Identity: In Marvel, each character is unique and embraces their identity. We should do the same. Accept who you are, embrace your strengths, and learn from your weaknesses. Remember, you are a marvel in your own right.2. Persevere Through Adversity: Life is filled with challenges, but it is our response to these challenges that defines us. Like Spider-Man, Iron Man, and Captain America, we must face our trials with courage and determination. Remember, the harder the challenge, the greater the reward.3. Find Your Purpose: Tony Stark discovered his purpose when he realized he could use his genius to protect the world. We all have a purpose, whether it is to help others, pursue a passion, or make a difference in our community. Find your purpose and let it guide you.4. Embrace Teamwork: The Avengers teach us that we are at our best when we work together. Surround yourself with supportive and like-minded individuals who can help you grow and achieve your goals. Remember, unity is strength.5. Dream Big: Marvel heroes dream big and pursue their dreams with unwavering passion. Dare to dream, and never settle for less. Your dreams are the blueprints of your future. In conclusion, the Marvel universe offers us a powerful narrative that can inspire us to become the best versions of ourselves. By embracing our identities, persevering through adversity, finding our purpose, embracing teamwork, and dreaming big, we can create our own Marvelous stories.Ladies and gentlemen, let us take these lessons from the Marvel universe and apply them to our lives. Let us be the heroes in our own stories, making a positive impact on the world around us. Remember, you have the power within you to achieve greatness.Thank you for your time, and may we all embrace the marvelous in ourselves and in each other. Together, we can create a world where dreams are not just stories but realities.Godspeed, and may the force be with you.。

暮光之城的英语演讲

暮光之城的英语演讲

暮光之城的英语演讲If you’re a vampire, it’s all about you. Why is Edward Cullen obsessed to the point of erotomania by Bella SwanBecause she smells so yummy, but he doesn’t want tokill her. Here’s what he tells her: He must not be around her. He might sink his fangs in just a little, and not be able to stop. She finds this overwhelmingly attractive. She tells him he is the most beautiful thing she has ever seen.I don’t remember Edward ever saying that to her. Maybe once. He keeps on saying they should stay far, far apart, because he craves her so much.Should a woman fall in love with a man because he desires her so muchMen seem to think so. It's not about the woman, it's about the man's desire. We all know there is no such thing as a vampire. Come on now, what is "Twilight" really aboutIt's about a teenage boy trying to practice abstinence, and how, in the heat of the moment, it's really, really hard. And about a girl who wants to go all the way with him, and doesn't care what might happen. He's so beautiful she would do anything for him. She is the embodiment of the sentiment, "I'd die for you." She is,like many adolescents, a thanatophile. If there were no vampires in "Twilight," it would be a thin-blooded teenage romance, about two good-looking kids who want each other so much because they want each other somuch. Sometimes that's all it's about, isn't itThey're in love with being in love. In "Twilight," however, they havea seductive disagreement about whether he should kill her. She's like, I don't especially want to die, but if that's what it takes, count me in. She is touched by his devotion. Think what a sacrifice he is making on her behalf. On Prom Night, on the stage of the not especially private gazebo in the public gardens, he teeters right on the brink of a fang job, and then brings all of her trembling to a dead stand-still.The movie is lush and beautiful, and the actors arewell-chosen. You may recall Robert Pattinson (Edward) as Cedric Diggory, who on Voldemort's orders was murdered in a graveyard in "Harry Potter and the Goblet of Fire." Maybehe was already a vampire. Pattinson is not unaware of how handsome he is. When Bella and Edward, still strangers, exchange stern and burning looks in the school cafeteria,he transfixes her with a dark and glowering - nay, perating - stare. I checked Pattinson out on Google Images and found he almost always glowers at the camera 'neath shadowed brow. Kristen Stewart's Bella, on the other hand, is a fresh-faced innocent who is totally undefended against his voltage.Bella has left her mom and stepdad in hot Arizona, clutching a potted cactus, to e live in the clammy, rainyPacific Northwest, home of Seasonal Affective Disorder. Her dad (Billy Burke) is the chief of police of the very small town of Forks, Washington (pop. 3,120). His greatest asset: "He doesn't hover." At high school, she quickly notices the preternaturally pale Cullen clan, who in some shots seem to be wearing as much Max Factor Pancake White as Harry Langdon. Edward is 114 years old. He must be really tired of taking biology class. Darwin came in during his watch, and proved vampires can't exist. There are other strange youths around, including American Indians who appear not too distantly descended from their tribe's ancestors, wolves. Great tension between the wolvesand vampires. Also some rival vampires around. How small is this townThe Forks high school is so big, it must serve a consolidated district serving the whole table setting. The main local Normal Kid is a nice sandy-haired boy who asks Bella to the prom. He's out of his depth here, unless he can transmogrify into a grizzly. Also there are four grey-bearded coots at the next table in the local diner, who eavesdrop and exchange significant glances and get big, significant close-ups but are still just sitting significantly nodding, for all I know.Edward has the ability to move as swiftly as Superman. Like him he can stop a runaway pickup with one arm. Herescues Bella twice that I remember, maybe because he truly loves her, maybe because he's saving her for later. She has questions. "How did you appear out of nowhere and stop that truck" Well might she ask. When he finally explains that he is a vampire, he goes up from 8 to 10 on her Erotometer. Why do girls always prefer the distant, aloof, handsome, dangerous dudes instead of cheerful chaps like me "Twilight" will mesmerize its target audience, 16-year-old girls and their grandmothers. Their mothers know all too much about boys like this. I saw it at a sneak preview. Last time I saw a movie in that same theater, the audience weled it as an opportunity to catch up on gossip, texting, and laughing at private jokes. This time the audience was rapt with attention. Sometimes a soft chuckle, as when the principal Indian boy has well-developed incisors. Sometimes a soft sigh. Afterwards, I eavesdropped on some conversations. A few were saying, "He's so hot!" More floated in a sweet dreaminess. Edward seemed to stir their surrender instincts. The movie, based on the Stephenie Meyer novel, was directed by Catherine Hardwicke. She uses her great discovery, Nikki Reed, in the role of the beautiful Rosalie Hale. Reed wrote Hardwick's "Thirteen" (xx) when she was only 14. That was a movie that knew a lot more about teenage girls. The girl played by Reed in that movie wouldmake mincemeat of Edward. But I understand who "Twilight" appeals to, and it sure will.TWILIGHT is an action-packed, modern-day love story between a teenage girl and a vampire. Bella Swan (Kristen Stewart) has always been a little bit different, never caring about fitting in with the trendy girls at her Phoenix high school. When her mother re-marries and sends Bella to live with her father in the rainy little town of Forks, Washington, she doesn‘t expect much of anything to change. Then she meets the mysterious and dazzlingly beautiful Edward Cullen (Robert Pattinson), a boy unlike any she’s ever met. Edward is a vampire, but he doesn‘t have fangs (尖牙) and his family is unique in that they choose not to drink human blood. Intelligent and witty, Edward sees straight into Bella's soul.Soon, they are swept up in a passionate, thrilling and unorthodox romance. Scarlet Johansson's Public Speaking It's an honor to be here tonight. I speak to you not as a representative of young Hollywood, but as a representative of the many millions of young Americans, particularly young women, who depend on public and nonprofit programs to help them survive.
I grown up in New York city with four sibling. My father barely made enough to get by.(我父亲艰难度日) We moved every year, and we finally settle in a housing development for lower middle income families. We went to public schools and depended on programs for school transport and lunches, as did most of my friends. My girlfriends from high school to this day still depend on Planned Parenthood and often Medicaid for important health care services.
In 2008, less than half of a ll eligible voters between the ages of 18 and 24 voted, less than half. Young America, why are we only speaking with half our voice when so many issues at stake here directly affect us?
You know who I am voting for. I'm not going to tell you who to vote for. I'm here to ask you to commit to vote. It's never been easier than now. Go to commit.Barack to register, to find your polling location and any other information you need.
It's that easy.
Early this week, Chelsea Clinton reminded us that we are the generation whose voices haven't been heard. So, vote so that your voice is heard.
Over the last two days, we've been reminded of something that perhaps we forgot, what has been accomplished, and what is at stake. Whether we can get health care, afford college, be guaranteed equal pay--all of these thing are at great great risk. And that's why I'm here today to use whatever attention I'm fortunate enough to receive to shed the spotlight on what's at stake for all of us.
When I was a little girl, my mother, she was a registered Democrat. She would take me into the pooling booth, and tell me which buttons to press and when to pull the lever. Is that illegal, I don't know. I remember the excitement I felt in that secret box and felt like my mom's vote wasn't just about the candidate, it was about our family and all the families in our community just like ours.
This last election, I finally got to punch those buttons for real, for me. I was so excited I wore my " I voted" pin the whole day. It was my finest accessory. And this year on November 6th, I'm filled with that same pride, that same enthusiasm, to press the
button reelect Barack Obama!。
