从文本语言来说看，篇幅适中，理解难度不大。
在课文要求识记的新单词中，学生可能存在理解或拼读障碍的单词有method, improve, lose, trouble, spelling, article, mention, mainly, strange , cycle，生词量并不大，可通过教授和理解上下文解决。
从文本的内容来看，本文具有较强的现实意义，可以学生结合自己的实际经验分享有效的记忆方法，从而真正起到对学生的帮助和指导作用。
三、学情分析学生经过初中近一年半的学习，多数学生对于英语的学习形成了自己方法，英语基础知识较好，但也存在分化现象，因此在设计问题时应注意梯度。
