Unit 7 section A Woman at the management level 女性管理者1When Monica applied for a job as an administrative assistant in 1971, she was asked whether she would rather work for a male or a female attorney. "I immediately said a man," she says. "I felt that a male-boss/female-employee relationship was more natura l, needing no personal accommodation whatsoever." But 20 years later, when she was asked the same question, she said, "I was pleasantly surprised that female bosses are much more accessible to their employees; they're much more sensitive and intimate w ith their employees."1 当莫妮卡 1971 年申请一个行政助理的工作时,有人问她想与男律师共事还是与女律师共事。

2 Female bosses today are still finding they face subtle resistance. There is still a seg ment of the population, both men and, surprisingly, women who report low tolerance for female bosses. The growing presence of femalebosses has also provoked two major questions that revolve around styles: Do men and women manage differently, and, if so, is that a good thing?2 今天的女上司仍然发现,她们面临着不易察觉的阻力。

新视野大学英语2第三版第七单元作文全文共6篇示例,供读者参考篇1My Most Exciting School TripHi there! My name is Timmy and I'm a fourth grader at Sunny Hill Elementary School. Today, I want to tell you all about the most exciting school trip I've ever been on. It was an adventure I'll never forget!A few weeks ago, our teacher, Mrs. Martin, announced that we were going to visit the Natural History Museum in the city. I couldn't wait! I love learning about dinosaurs, ancient civilizations, and all the cool stuff they have at museums. My best friend, Jake, was just as pumped as I was.The day finally came, and we all piled onto the big yellow school bus, buzzing with energy and excitement. The ride to the city seemed to take forever, but we passed the time by playing "I Spy" and singing silly songs. When we finally arrived, I could barely contain my enthusiasm! As we walked through the massive doors of the museum, I was instantly amazed by the gigantic dinosaur skeletons towering above us. "Whoa, look at the size of that T-Rex!" I exclaimed, my jaw dropping in awe. Jake and I raced over to get a closer look, pretending to be fearsome dinosaurs ourselves.Next, we explored the ancient Egypt exhibit, marveling at the mummies, hieroglyphics, and golden treasures. I tried my best to decipher the mysterious symbols on the tomb walls, imagining myself as a great pharaoh ruling over a vast empire. Jake and I even attempted to mummify each other using toilet paper from the restroom, much to the dismay of our chaperones! After that, we ventured into the gem and mineral gallery, where we were dazzled by the stunning array of colorful crystals and precious stones. I couldn't help but dream of finding a massive diamond or emerald and becoming a famous explorer. Jake and I pretended to be miners, digging through the displays in search of buried treasures.During our lunch break, we sat in the museum's outdoor garden, munching on our sandwiches and swapping stories about our favorite exhibits. Jake and I decided that our dream jobs would be to work at the museum, surrounded by all those incredible artifacts and fossils. In the afternoon, we explored the Native American exhibit, learning about the rich cultures and traditions of various tribes. I was fascinated by the intricate beadwork, intricate pottery, and the stories of bravery and resilience. Jake and I tried our hand at weaving baskets and even attempted a few traditional dances, much to the amusement of our classmates. As the day drew to a close, we reluctantly made our way back to the bus, our minds brimming with new knowledge and unforgettable experiences. On the ride home, I couldn't stop chattering about all the amazing things we had seen and learned, already dreaming of our next school trip adventure.Looking back, that museum visit was truly the most exciting school trip I've ever been on. It opened my eyes to the wonders of the world around us and sparked my curiosity about history, science, and culture. I can't wait to see what other incredible places and experiences await us on future field trips!篇2A Day in the Life of an Elementary SchoolerHi there! My name is Emma, and I'm a 10-year-old student in the 5th grade. Today, I thought I'd share with you what a typicalday in my life is like. Grab a snack and get comfy, because this is going to be a long one!The Day BeginsMy day usually starts around 6:30 AM when my mom comes into my room to wake me up. I'm not a morning person at all, so it's always a struggle to get out of my cozy bed. But Mom is persistent, and she won't let me hit that snooze button more than once or twice. After some groaning and grumbling, I finally drag myself out of bed and head to the bathroom to freshen up.Once I'm all clean and dressed, I make my way downstairs to the kitchen for breakfast. My favorite is pancakes with lots of syrup, but on school days, Mom usually makes something quicker like cereal or toast. I gobble it down quickly because I don't want to be late for the bus.Off to SchoolThe school bus arrives at my stop around 7:45 AM, and that's when the real fun begins! I love catching up with my friends and hearing about their evenings and weekends. We chat and laugh all the way to school, which makes the ride go by super fast. When we get to school, we have about 15 minutes before the first bell rings. Some kids hang out in the cafeteria or theplayground, but my friends and I usually head straight to our classroom. We like to get there early so we can snag the best seats and get our stuff ready for the day.The School DayThe first bell rings at 8:15 AM, and that's when the learning begins! Our first class is usually Math or Language Arts. I'm not gonna lie, sometimes these subjects can be pretty boring. But our teachers try to make them fun by letting us work in groups or play educational games. After a couple of hours, it's time for our first break of the day – recess! This is definitely my favorite part of the school day. I love running around and playing tag or jump rope with my friends. The fresh air and exercise give me a nice energy boost to power through the rest of the morning.Once recess is over, we have a few more classes before it's time for lunch. Lunchtime is always chaotic in the cafeteria, but I don't mind. It's a chance to catch up with friends from other classes and trade snacks or desserts. The pizza and chicken nuggets are my favorite lunch options, but sometimes I bring my own lunch from home. After lunch, we have a couple more classes and then it's time for my least favorite part of the day – homework club. I'm not a big fan of staying after school to do homework, but my parents insist that it's important to get a head start on my assignments. At least I get to hang out with my friends while we work.Home Sweet HomeFinally, at around 4:30 PM, I get to go home! The bus ride back is usually a lot quieter than the morning ride because we're all pretty tired from a long day of learning and playing.Once I'm home, I like to take a little break and have a snack while watching some TV or playing on my tablet. But I can't relax for too long because I still have homework to do. I try to get as much done as I can before dinner so that I can enjoy the rest of my evening. After dinner, it's family time! We like to play board games or go for a walk around the neighborhood. Sometimes, we'll have a movie night and make popcorn and hot chocolate. These are some of my favorite memories from my childhood. As bedtime approaches, I get ready for the next day by packing my backpack, laying out my clothes, and getting mylunch ready (if I'm not buying lunch at school). Finally, around 9 PM, it's lights out and time for sleep. And that's a typical day in the life of this 5th grader! It's a busy schedule, but I wouldn't have it any other way. School keeps me learning and growing, and my friends and family keep me laughing and happy. I can't wait to see what adventures tomorrow will bring!篇3My Awesome Summer VacationHello there! My name is Lily and I'm 8 years old. I just had the most amazing summer vacation ever and I can't wait to tell you all about it!It all started when school let out in June. My parents asked me what I wanted to do for summer vacation and I had so many ideas! I really wanted to go to the beach, have a lemonade stand, go camping, and visit my grandparents on their farm. My parents said we could try to do all those things if we planned it out.First up was the beach trip! We drove down to the coast and stayed in a little beach house right by the ocean. I loved falling asleep to the sound of the waves crashing on the shore. Everyday we would pack a cooler with snacks and drinks and head down to the beach. I spent hours building the most incredible sandcastles and splashing around in the water. My favorite part was when my dad buried me in the sand all the way up to my neck! It was so silly looking. When we got back home, it was time to set up my lemonade stand. My mom helped me make a big pitcher of fresh lemonade from real lemons. It was so tart and sweet! We set up a little table and chairs out front with a big sign I decorated myself. I charged 50 cents a cup and made over 6 on the first day! All the neighbors came by for a refreshing glass. I was like a real businesswoman. The next week, we went camping up in the mountains. We stayed at a campground with hiking trails, a lake for swimming, and lots of other fun activities. My dad set up our tent and showed me how to start a campfire. We roasted hot dogs and marshmallows and sang silly songs around the crackling fire. One night we stayed up super late and saw a million stars! I had never seen so many in the night sky before. We also went on a couple of hikes and saw lots of cool plants, bugs, and even a deer! The last part of my summer was visiting my grandparents on their farm out in the country. I love going there because they have so many animals - cows, chickens, pigs, and horses! Grandpa took me out to the barn and let me brush and feed the horses. They were so huge and gentle. I also collected eggs from the chicken coop which was pretty neat. In the afternoons, Grandma would make us fresh lemonade or sweet tea and we'd sit on the porch swing listening to the crickets. She taught me how to shell peas and snap green beans from the garden too.On our last day there, we had a big family cookout to celebrate my cousin Tommy's birthday. All my aunts, uncles, and cousins came over. After we ate way too much barbecue, cake, and ice cream, us kids went on a big hunt around the farm looking for treasures like cool rocks, feathers, and wildflowers to put in our buckets. When it got dark, we ran around catching lightning bugs in jars. They glowed like little lanterns! It was such a fun day.Well, that's pretty much my summer vacation in a nutshell! We packed in so many fun activities and great family time. I had an absolute blast and created so many wonderful memories. Summer went by way too fast if you ask me! But I'm excited togo back to school, see my friends, and tell them all about my awesome adventures. Third grade, here I come!篇4My Big Summer AdventureHi there! My name is Timmy and I'm 10 years old. I just had the most amazing summer and I can't wait to tell you all about it! To start, my family and I went on a huge road trip across the country. We packed up our trusty minivan with all our stuff - clothes, games, snacks, you name it! My little sister Jenny and I could barely contain our excitement as we pulled out of the driveway and hit the open road. Our first stop was the Grand Canyon in Arizona. Wow, let me tell you, that place is MASSIVE! The giant canyon carved into the earth's surface looks even crazier in person than in pictures. We went on a little hike along the rim trail and I felt like a tiny speck compared to those towering red rock formations. Jenny got a little scared of the steep drops but I thought it was a total thrill! That night we stayed in a cute little cabin and roasted marshmallows over the campfire. S'mores are the best camp food ever! After a few days of hiking and exploring, we continued our journey west towards California. We made a quick pit stop in Las Vegas to see all the glitzy lights and shows on the Strip. Obviously we couldn't go into any of the casinos since we're kids, but it was still super cool! I've never seen so many neon lights and massive hotels in one place. We stayed up way past our bedtimes just walking around and taking it all in.Finally, we made it to the Pacific Ocean in Los Angeles! Seeing that vast body of water stretching as far as the eye could see was breathtaking. We spent an entire day just playing in the waves, building sandcastles, and searching for seashells. The ocean air and the sound of the crashing waves was so relaxing. In the evenings, we would stroll along the beach boardwalk and get ice cream cones or cotton candy. Those were some of my favorite moments from the whole trip. But the fun didn't stop there! From LA, we drove up the coast to San Francisco. What an amazingly hilly and picturesque city. We took a trolley car ride, just like they did in the olden days, and I felt like I was transported back in time. The crooked Lombard Street with all its hairpin turns looked like a giant rollercoaster for cars. We also got to walk across the iconic Golden Gate Bridge - that suspension span felt like it could go on forever!Afterwards, we had a delicious lunch in Chinatown with the most authentic dumplings I've ever tasted. As we worked our way back eastward, we stopped at some awesome national parks in Utah like Arches and Zion. The bright red desert landscapes looked like they were straight out of an alien planet! We went on guided hiking tours and learned all about how those crazy sandstone formations were sculpted over millions of years. My favorite part was checking out all the narrow canyons and winding through the slot canyons. They were like nature's awesome mazes! Our final destination was the mile-high city of Denver, Colorado. From the gorgeous Rocky Mountain vistas to the trendy restaurants and craft breweries, this city had something for everyone. We took the free public bus system to explore downtown. At the Nature and Science Museum, we got to see real dinosaur fossils and gems that were millions of years old! On our last day, we went whitewater rafting down Clear Creek. Our guide taught us all about paddling techniques as we bounced over the rapids. What a rush!By the time we finally made the long drive back home to Ohio, we were exhausted but full of the most wonderful memories. That epic cross-country road trip opened my eyes toall the beauties and diverse landscapes this country has to offer. From natural wonders to big cities, amazing food to fun activities, we squeezed in as much as we possibly could over those six amazing weeks. I feel so lucky to have had this experience with my family while making tons of unforgettable memories along the way. I can't wait to go on more adventures like this in the future!篇5My Favorite ThingsHi there! My name is Timmy and I'm in the 4th grade. Our English teacher just assigned us to write about our favorite things. I love writing, so this is gonna be fun!Where do I even begin? I have so many favorite things! I guess I'll start with my favorite food - pizza! There's just something so perfect about the cheesy, saucy deliciousness all piled onto a crispy crust. My favorite kind is pepperoni, but I'll honestly eat any type of pizza. Except for anchovies...those little fishy things are just nasty!Another of my absolute favorite things is my puppy Bailey. He's a golden retriever and just a total bundle of энергия andлохматый пушистый. I got him for my 8th birthday and he'sbeen my best friend ever since. Bailey loves to play fetch and go for walks to the park. He's always so excited to see me when I get home from school. Dogs really are man's best friend!Video games would definitely have to be one of my top favorite things too. I'm obsessed with Pokemon right now. I've got the latest games for my Nintendo Switch and have been spending hours trying to ловить them all. My favorites are Pikachu and Charizard - they're just the coolest! I'm working on building my dream team to take on the Elite Four. Wish me luck!Reading is another favorite hobby of mine. I just got into the Harry Potter book series and I'm totally hooked. It's amazing how J.K. Rowling can transport you into this magical world of wizards, mythical creatures, and chocolate frogs that can actually hop around! My goal is to read all seven books before the next movie comes out.I could probably go on forever listing all my favorite toys, movies, books, and activities. But I'll stop here since this essay is getting pretty long already. Just know that a kid like me has a whole lot of favorite things that bring joy, excitement, andэнергия to my little life. Thanks for reading!篇6My Big Summer AdventureHi there! My name is Tommy and I'm 10 years old. I just finished 4th grade and had the most amazing summer adventure ever! I can't wait to tell you all about it.It all started one day when my mom told me we were going on a big trip. I was super excited but also a little nervous because I had never been on a really long trip before. Mom said we were going to drive up north to a place called Glacier National Park in Montana. She said it was one of the most beautiful parks in the whole United States with huge mountains, bright blue lakes, and tons of wildlife like bears and mountain goats. I didn't know much about it, but it sounded awesome! We left a few days later and started our long drive. It took us almost two whole days of driving to get there! I tried to look out the window as much as I could, but I'll admit I got a little bored and played some games on my tablet too. When we finally made it to the park, I could hardly believe my eyes. The mountains were humungous - way bigger than any hills or small mountains I had seen before. They looked like they touched the sky with their snowy peaks. The lakes were this crazy bright blue color that didn't even look real. I had never seen water that blue before! We stayed in a little cabin inside the park for a week. Every morning, we would wake up early, have a yummy camping breakfast like oatmeal or pancakes, and then head out on a hike. The hiking trails were amazing! They went up and down the mountainsides with gorgeous views everywhere you looked. We saw waterfalls tumbling down from the high cliffs, fields full of colorful wildflowers, and cute little critters like squirrels and chipmunks scampering around. A few times we were lucky enough to spot some bigger animals too - we saw a massive grizzly bear lumbering through the forest one day and a family of mountain goats climbing up a rocky slope on another hike. Seeing wildlife up close like that in their natural habitats was just mind-blowing.In the middle of our trip, we went on a guided rafting tour down one of the rivers. They gave us special rafts, life jackets, and paddles, and an expert guide took us down the rushing, icy cold river. The water splashed up in our faces and we had to paddle hard to steer through some of the rapids. It was a little scary at first but turned out to be a total blast! When we hit some of the calmer stretches, we could look up at the towering mountain peaks all around us. Our guide told us all about the history of the park and pointed out different plants and rocks. It was such a unique way to explore the park.On our last couple days, we drove along the famous Going-to-the-Sun Road that winds through the heart of the mountains. The views from that road were just breathtaking around every turn. We stopped at overlooks to take pictures and short walks along the way. One day we even got to go on a boat tour across some of the bigger glacier-fed lakes. Seeing those bright blue waters and massive glaciers up close was surreal.By the end of the week, my mind was blown. Glacier National Park is seriously one of the most beautiful places I've ever been. The mountains, lakes, forests, and wildlife there are just indescribable. We made so many wonderful memories - hiking to waterfalls, looking for animals, going whitewater rafting, driving the scenic roads. It was the ultimate adventure for a nature-loving kid like me. I know I'll never forget the incredible sights we saw and things we did in that amazing park.As we made the long drive home, I couldn't stop talking about everything and showing my family all the pictures and videos I took. My friends back home couldn't believe some of the things I saw and did, like coming so close to a real grizzly bear! This trip has made me want to explore even more national parks and wilderness areas across the country. For now though, I'll just keep rewatching my videos and looking at my photos toreminisce about my unforgettable summer adventure at Glacier until the next one. What an awesome experience!。

They also know when to make concessions and accommodate their employees' personal needs because they are not as rigid and stubborn as male bosses. Employees,of course, enjoy such a relationship with their female boss.In brief, women's natural management style helps them succeed in their workplace. The fact that women are brought up to have verbal skills and emotional intelligence is a huge advantage. The abundant materials on the Internet make it possible for you to choose appropriate content to read and listen to. These materials can be adjusted to your level if you input some key words in the search engine. But how can you remember the bulk of unfamiliar words? In this case, the Internet evidently makes it easier to learn vocabulary. You can use online dictionaries to instantly find out their grammatical functions and the specific meaning of these words. The Internet helps you to efficiently accumulate vocabulary based on lively and interesting language content, which greatly reduces your distress caused by inability to remember the new words. The efficiency of this vocabulary learning is one of the reasons why the Internet has become an ideal place to learn English.Unit 2Through exploration of the humanities, we learn how to think creatively and critically, to analyze, and to ask questions. Because these skills allow us to gain new insight into everything from poetry and paintings to business models and politics, humanistic subjects have been at the heart of a liberal arts education since the ancient Greeks first used them to educate their citizens.Research into the human experience helps to boost our knowledge about our world. Through the work of humanities scholars, we learn about the values of different cultures, about what goes into making a work of art, and about the mystery of how history is made. Their efforts depict the great accomplishments of the past, help us understand the world today, and give us tools to imagine the prospect of our future.Today, humanistic knowledge continues to promote the ideal foundation for exploring and understanding the human experience. Learning another language might help to invest you with great insights as well as gain much appreciation of different cultures. Taking a close look at a sculpture might make you think about how an artist's life affected his creative decisions. Reading a book from another region of the world might help you speculate about the meaning of democracy. Listening to history courses might give you a clearer picture of what the future will be like.Unit 3There is a special life stage that our generation goes through. It is the transition period, during which we move from teenage to adolescence. We learn who we are and what we stand for and what inspires us. Also, in this period we are saddled with a lot of pressure from our parents who want us to make something out of ourselves. My parents have already expressed feelings of anxiety over my future with academics and life. When I expressed to them recently that I would not mind graduating in five years instead of four in order to study abroad to acquaint myself with the world, they seemed so shocked. That idea sounded foreign and to them was equivalent to lack of ambition.Apart from that, my mother has expressed to me that she is worried that I am not searching for a boyfriend. I resent this stupid idea of marrying out of college since it does not suit me one bit. Women today can get what they want out of life without a man, even children, as it becomes more acceptable for women to adopt children.I personally want to stay in school as long as I can to reinforce my academic work, possibly complete a law degree and start a career, and then after, and only after, begin to think about shifting to marriage. If my math is correct, that means I will be more or less 'ready' for marriage at the age of 29 or 30, the age when my mother had me.Unit 4Traditional dating is a self-paced, general meeting of two people. The two usually commence with spending extra time together, getting to know one another and seeing how tempting they could be to each other. A good example is a man meeting a woman and sensing her charm. He then extends a formal invitation for a date. With traditional dating, you get to go at a steady pace, allowing yourself and your date to get to know each other through extensive contact. There are many components that can be expected from traditional dates. Men, who are supposed to display these traditional values, will open the door for the woman, stand up when she leaves the table, pay for everything, and proceed to the next move. In the1950s, a man would usually ask a woman out several days ahead for a specific date and time. If she accepted, they would arrange for a time to pick her up. He would then take her to a dinner and a movie.Today the rules of traditional dating are less clear. Twenty years ago, if a young lady asked a men out on a date, it was thought to be weird. Now, women are being encouraged to take the initiative and ask men out. A date may consist of a brief meeting at a café or a trip to the local art museum. Men often pay on the first date, but the woman may offer to go Dutch. The traditional dating style has been found much less common now.Unit 5To spend or save is a question which many people have. There is always a(n) dilemma whether one should spend the money that he has earned or save that money for the future. Well, there is no explicit answer to the question as different people have different perspectives on their life, and that is the reason why some people tend to spend all the money earned while others retain control over their money.People who spend all the money do not think much about the future. The only thing that they enjoy doing most is to derive pleasure from spending money. For example, if they like a particular car, mobile phone or laptop, they will buy it without giving it a thought. For them, the most important thing is to satisfy their material appetite. People who have their first job or who haven't married often fall in this category. In the long run, saving is a good option for one's life as saving helps an individual to plan for future urgent needs. That is also the reason why many people save money for a rainy day. Individuals who can suspend their spending save money successfully. Instead of buying on impulse, they delay their purchasing decision and won't be easily manipulated by commercial ads. Individuals who have responsibility for their family belong to this category.Unit 6Simplifying is not necessarily about less. It can be about more: more time, more enjoyment, more accomplishment, and more of what profits you. If you do a lot of things that don't bring you joy or support your long-term plan, then doing less of that kind of things makes sense because you can't preserve everything. The purpose of simplifying is to remove what's not important. To understand what should be discarded, try to think of activities and things as either assets or obligations. An asset is something that is valuable. Some corresponding examples are stocks, bonds, buildings, land, gold, etc. , but a little more broadly, an asset is anything that can strengthen and motivate you, moving you closer to your goals. However, obligations are debts. An obligation is anything that weakens you, moves you farther from your goals, provides negative stress, creates anxiety, and decreases your health. Then how can you implement the idea of simplifying? Think about your daily activities and start with just one area. For example, you may begin with obligation by making a long list of your daily activities. Your list may revolve around such routines as paying bills and planning a birthday party for a friend, etc. Do the activities get you closer to your goals? If not, modify the list. Remove what is unnecessary in order to concentrate more on something important in your life.Unit 7It's obvious that women have come a long way as successful professionals. Women in the workplace are flourishing as an increased number of women have made their presence felt in many industries and professions. The sector of the female workforce has expanded with more and more strength and thus has its genuine importance in the professional world.Whether they like it or not, men have to accept that women are marching up the management ladder confidently and diplomatically. Women used to be much more "quiet and passive" due to the relatively small number of female employees in comparison to males. Women today, on the other hand, have begun seeking their administrative positions by using all their powers of intelligence.Men are hierarchical and jealous of the "beauty power" that allows women to get certain things based on their physical assets. Even though there is a(n) dispute whethermany professional females got into positions of power by using their appearance to their advantage, the valid fact is the majority of women have worked hard to achieve their desired success.Women were considered as bystanders in the workplace for many years and it was believed that the only jobs that they could handle were those of teachers or secretaries, but today's women can not only hold their own positions in the workplace, but they also have the dual task of raising their families.Unit 8The animal rights movement is a social movement which seeks an end to using animals in the research, food, clothing, and entertainment industries, hence being called animal liberation. It advocates the idea that the most basic interests of non-human creatures should be afforded the same consideration as those of human beings.Advocates lobby for animal rights from different aspects, ranging from the focus on animal suffering in laboratories to the argument that insists on not casting animals as properties of human beings. Despite the different approaches, advocates broadly consent to the opinion that animals should be viewed as non-human members of the moral community and should be omitted from being food, clothing, entertainment, or research subjects. The idea of awarding rights to animals wins the support of several prominent scholars. However, some critics argue that animals are unable to enter into a social contract or moral compass and for that reason cannot be granted rights. Only humans have duties and, therefore, only humans have rights. There is nothing wrong or evil about using animals as resources so long as there is no unnecessary suffering. From within the animal rights movement itself, there has also been criticism of certain forms of animal rights activism, in particular the destruction of fur farms and animal laboratories.。

U7 AWhen honesty disappears当诚实消失时"Is anybody truly honest?" As numerous accounts of cheating, lying, and fraud crowd our newspaper pages and TV news, it seems that honesty is a rapidly vanishing value. And the reports indicate that, around the globe, corruption and dishonesty are so widespread that the health and well-being of society are at risk. These reports include stories such as the students who faced criminal charges for selling in advance copies of a university final exam, a student who was expelled when he turned in a term paper with the purchase receipt for it still inside the pages, and a clerk who ran his own Christmas cards through the office postage meter and was found out when he sent one of the cards to the company treasurer! We have all read or heard accounts such as these, not to mention the stories of dishonesty amongst all layers of society as exemplified by consumers who steal and politicians who demand bribes. Travelers ripped off so many towels last year that it cost a major hotel chain $3 million to replace them. Especially troubling are the reports that dishonesty is increasing amongst student populations around the world.“有真正诚实的人吗?”我们的报纸版面和电视新闻充斥着不计其数的有关欺骗、说谎和诈骗的报道,诚实似乎已经成为正在迅速消失的价值观。
