1. “如何保护环境”(How to Protect the Environment)范文:With the rapid development of modern industry and technology, environmental problems have become increasingly prominent. Therefore, itis of great importance for us to learn how to protect the environment.Firstly, we should raise people’s awareness of environmental protection. Through education and publicity campaigns, people should be encouraged to realize the significance of environmental conservation. Furthermore, laws and regulations should be implemented to punish those who violate environmental protection policies, which will help to create a more eco-friendly society.Secondly, individuals can make a difference. By adopting environmentally friendly habits, such as reducing energy consumption, using public transportation, and recycling, each person can contribute to the conservation of the environment. Moreover, planting more trees and participating in environmental volunteer activities can also be effective ways to protect the environment. In addition, the government should play a leading role in environmental protection. It should invest in the research and development of renewable energy sources and promote the use of clean energy. Additionally, stricter environmental laws and regulations should be implemented to hold corporations accountable for their actions towards the environment. In conclusion, protecting the environment is the responsibility of every individual and society as a whole. By raising awareness, changing personal habits, and implementing stricter environmental policies, we can create a more sustainable and beautiful world for future generations.2. “大学生是否应该自主选择专业”(Should University Students Choose Their Majors)范文:The issue of whether university students should have the freedom to choose their majors has long been a topic of debate. In my opinion, giving students the autonomy to choose their own majors is essential for their personal and academic growth.First of all, allowing students to choose their own majors promotes their intrinsic motivation and passion for learning. When students have the freedom to pursue subjects they are genuinely interested in, they are more likely to be engaged and motivated to study. This ultimately leads to better academic performance and personal development.Furthermore, allowing students to choose their majors helps them to explore their own strengths and potentials. When students are forced into certain majors against their will, they may feel demotivated andoverwhelmed, leading to a lack of personal growth. On the other hand, when students have the opportunity to choose majors that align with their interests and aptitudes, they are more likely to excel and find fulfillment in their academic pursuits. Moreover, giving students the autonomy to choose their own majors reflects the principles of individual freedom and personal agency. University is a place of higher education, where students should be encouraged to make independent decisions and take responsibility for their own choices. By entrusting students with the freedom to choose their majors, we are fostering their critical thinking skills and preparing them for the challenges of the real world. In conclusion, allowing university students to choose their own majors is important for their academic success, personal growth, and development of essential life skills. By promoting autonomy and individual freedom, we are empowering students to become well-rounded individuals who are capable of making informed decisions and pursuing their passions.。

Some people like to eat at home, while others prefer to eat out. Which do you prefer? Use specific reasons and examples to support your answer.Eating habits vary from person to person. Some prefer to eat at home. while others like to eat out. There are many advantages and disadvantages to both ways of eating. For example, eating at home can save time and money, while eating out can create a social atmosphere and provide an opportunity to try different foods. Personally, I prefer to eat out. I find that eating out allows me to socialize with my friends and family. It also gives me an opportunity to try different types of food. Additionally, eating out can be relaxing because I don't have to worry about cooking, cleaning, and doing the dishes. I look forward to eating out because it provides a break from the usual routine of cooking and eating at home. However, eating out can be expensive, and may not be as healthy as eating at home. Additionally, the atmosphere of the restaurant and the behavior of the other patrons can affect the dining experience. There are also time constraints, as restaurants may have specific hours of operation. In conclusion, both eating at home and eating out have advantages and disadvantages. It's up to the individual to choose which way is best for them. However, in my opinion, eating out provides a more enjoyable and social experience.2001 年 6 月全国大学英语四级考试范文Directions: Education plays a vital role in the development of one’s personality and future. It is as important as any other basic need in life. Do you think it is necessary to attend classes in order to learn? Give specific reasons and details to support your answer. Many people believe that attending classes is the only way to learn effectively. However, I believe that different people learn in different ways and that attending classes is not always necessary. First, there are many resources available for people who wish to learn outside the classroom. For example, libraries and bookstores have a wealth of information on almost any topic. In addition, with the rapid growth of technology, there are many online courses and tutorials available to people who cannot attend classes in person. These resources often offer the same quality of instruction as traditional classes, at a fraction of the cost.Second, some people may find that they learn more effectively through hands-on experience, rather than sitting in a classroom. Internships and apprenticeships provide valuable learning opportunities, where individuals can acquire practical skills that cannot be taught in a traditional classroom setting. Furthermore, being in a real-world setting allows people to make connections with others in their field of interest, which can lead to job opportunities or collaborations. However, attending classes in person can provide a structured learning environment and facilitate discussion and collaboration with other students. Additionally, having direct access to instructors and classmates can help to answer questions in real-time and provide feedback on progress. In conclusion, while attending classes can be helpful for some, it is not always necessary to learn effectively. Different people havedifferent learning styles and can benefit from a variety of resources and experiences.2019 年 12 月全国大学英语四级考试范文Directions: As the most commonly used language in the world, English has close ties with culture. Some people think that the best way to learn English is to study the culture of the English-speaking countries. Agree or disagree? Explain why.The relationship between language and culture is undeniable, and the study of English is no exception. However, while studying the culture of English-speaking countries can be helpful for learning the language, it is not the only way to learn English effectively. On the one hand, studying the culture of English-speaking countries provides valuable context and insight into the language. Understanding the cultural norms and values of a society can help to explain the nuances of language use and improve one's ability to communicate effectively. Additionally, studying culture can make learning the language more enjoyable, as it provides a way to connect with the language on a deeper level and can provide a sense of motivation and purpose. However, it is important to recognize that culture is only one aspect of learning a language. Learning vocabulary, grammar, and pronunciation are equally important to effectively communicate in English. Furthermore, not all aspects of English culture may be relevant or useful to every learner. For example, someone who is studying English for business purposes may not need to know about English literature or popular culture in order to communicate effectively. In conclusion, while studying the culture of English-speaking countries can enhance language learning, it is not the only way tolearn English effectively. Different learners will benefit from a variety of approaches and resources, and it is important to focus on the aspects of language that are most relevant to individual goals and needs.

Should Plastic Bags Be Banned?Plastic bags have been widely used for decades due to their convenience and low cost. However, with the increasing awareness of environmental protection, the issue of whether plastic bags should be banned has attracted public attention. This essay will analyze both sides of the argument and put forward some suggestions. On the one hand, opponents argue that banning plastic bags would have negative impacts on people's lives. Firstly, plastic bags are extremely convenient to carry and use, which makes shopping and transportation easier for consumers. If they are banned, people will be forced to find alternatives, such as buying reusable bags or using paper bags, which could be more expensive and less convenient. Secondly, plastic bags generate a large number of jobs in the production and recycling industries. A complete ban may result in unemployment and economic downturn in these sectors. On the other hand, proponents claim that banning plastic bags is necessary to protect the environment. Plastic bags are non-biodegradable and contribute to serious pollution problems. They are often discarded carelessly, ending up in oceans and rivers, causing harm to marine life.Additionally, the production of plastic bags consumes huge amounts of energy and natural resources, leading to carbon emissions and contributingto global warming. By banning plastic bags, we can reduce the waste and protect the environment for future generations. To strike a balance between convenience and environmental protection, it is essential to take certain measures. Firstly, the government should impose a plastic bag levy to discourage their use and encourage customers to bring their own reusable bags. This has been successfully implemented in several countries, resulting in a significant decrease in the use of plastic bags. Secondly, businesses can explore alternative packaging materials that are more eco-friendly, such as biodegradable bags or boxes made from recycled materials. Thirdly, educational campaigns and public awareness programs should be carried out to cultivate a sense of responsibility in individuals and encourage them to reduce plastic waste.Modification:Plastic bags have been widely utilized for decades due to their convenience and affordability. However, the mounting global concern for environmental preservation has raised the debate on whether plastic bags should be completely banned. This article aims to examine both perspectives and propose potential solutions. On the one hand, opponents argue that prohibiting plastic bags will adversely impact people's daily lives. Firstly, plastic bags are highly convenient for transportation and shopping, offering ease to consumers. The ban would necessitate individuals to seek alternatives like purchasing reusable bags or utilizing paper bags, which could be pricier and lessconvenient. Secondly, the production and recycling industries of plastic bags provide numerous employment opportunities. An outright ban may lead to unemployment and an economic recession in these sectors. On the other hand, proponents assert that banning plastic bags is imperative to safeguard the environment. Plastic bags are non-biodegradable, causing severe pollution issues. Improper disposal often results in the contamination of oceans and rivers, posing threats to marine life. Moreover, the production process of plastic bags consumes substantial amounts of energy and natural resources, contributing to carbon emissions and exacerbating global warming. By implementing a ban, we can diminish waste and preserve the environment for future generations. To strike a balance between convenience and environmental protection, it is crucial to implement specific measures. Firstly, governments should impose a plastic bag surcharge to discourage their usage and promote the adoption of reusable bags among consumers. Several countries have successfully employed this strategy, resulting in a significant reduction in plastic bag consumption. Secondly, businesses should explore eco-friendly alternative packaging materials, such as biodegradable bags or recycled boxes. Lastly, educational campaigns and public awareness programs ought to be conducted to cultivate individual responsibility and encourage the reduction of plastic waste. Conclusion:In conclusion, the ban on plastic bags presents both advantages and disadvantages. While opponents argue that the ban may inconvenience individuals and lead to economic repercussions, proponents emphasize thenecessity of a ban to protect the environment. A balanced approach is crucial and can be achieved through plastic bag surcharges, the promotion of alternative packaging materials, and public education. Only by taking collective action can we effectively reduce plastic waste and create a sustainable environment for future generations.。

Directions: For this part ,your are allowed 30 minutes to write a composition on the topic Trying to Be A Good University Student .You should write at least 100 words and you should base your composition on the outline (given in Chinese ) below :1.
1.It is very necessary to be a good university student . (议论体的主题句)2.There are several respects of necessities to be a good university student .(说明体的主题句)3.What I will do in the future is the following .(描述体主题句) 如果要求句是英语就可以把它变成主题句,例如这样一篇作文:Good Health1.Importance of good health2.Ways to keep fit3.My own practice这样的作文的要求句就可以扩充成主题句。
