作为教士的傀儡，无辜的被绑在方场上，忍受着别人的'指指点点，他张着干裂的

教士，是一个人人都尊敬的人，是人们口中所谓的高尚者，然而，却是一个被美好的外表包裹着的臭泥，他的内心无比狭隘与肮脏，是一个道貌岸然的伪君子，虚伪、自私在他身上体现的淋漓尽改，而且，他应为没有占有爱斯梅达拉而用卑劣的手段将其送上了断头台。
卡齐莫多是被教士收养的孤儿，文中用‘狗与主人’来形容他们
的关系，可见卡齐莫多对教士是何等言听计从，但他因为爱斯梅拉达为他送水之后，从恶的深渊升华到善，他极力保护爱斯梅拉达，帮助遭人诬陷的爱斯梅拉达逃走，在她被绞刑时，愤怒地将罪魁祸首，自己的主人，行为卑劣的教士从巴黎圣母院的顶楼推了下去。
