学生在本单元第一课“中国传统节日”中了解包括端午节,元宵节,中秋节,第三课“西方婚礼习俗”以及第四课“圣诞节”后,希望了解更多的西方文化,提高自己的人文素养,减少英语学习中跨文化交际因素的障碍,增加英语阅读方面的知识储备。

3重点难点由于万圣节的起源较为复杂,涉及到生活在北欧的凯尔特人,侵略欧洲的罗马人以及天主教会。

学生对这些单词不熟悉,难以辨认事情发展顺序。

所以教师把教学重点放在帮助学生以when, where, why, what, how 为线索,获取主要信息。

通过在教生词时带出凯尔特人,罗马人以及天主教这些单词的方式突破难点,为后面的阅读降低难度,设计一些与高考题型类似的任务简化这篇文章的难度,提升学生的学习兴趣。
