一、把握题目，准确审题准确审题，搞清文章的题材与题裁是写好文章的关键一步。
有的学生马马虎虎匆匆读一遍题目要求下笔就写，结果把书信写成了散文，把圣诞节写成了新年等。
比如在一次写作中有学生把My favorite food写成了Chinese food，列举了好多食物，但显然离题万里了。
考试中这类作文肯定得不了高分。
二、分清段落，列出提纲写文章，段落是基本。
不论是信件、论文、报告都是由段落组成的。
一篇文章包括若干个观点，每一个观点都由一个独立的段落来发展。
段落的长度不等，通常一个段落包含5到8句，每个段落包含一个中心思想，而中心思想是由一个主题句来表达。
当然段落的长度是由它要表达的主题思想来决定的。
分清段落以后，还需要用一句话列出简要的提纲(即主题句)。
切忌作文一段一写到底的做法，(这种作文高考中很普遍，也是作文失分的一个重要原因)，这样是得不到高分的。
三、使用某些惯用句型写作中如果能恰当运用英语中某些常见的惯用句型，可以使文章显得富有“洋味”。

例如，学生从会写简单句发展到能够写出并列句甚至较复杂的复合句时，学习英语的积极性再一次被调动起来。
二、抓对口高考作文范文，让学生先仿写，培养学生的成就感。
以《2013年山西省中等职业学校对口升学复习指导》中作文范文为例，其中共有20篇作文。
分四类：记叙文两篇，一篇记人，一篇记事；说明文两篇；议论文一篇；应用文十五篇，包括各种书信、留言条、口头通知、书面通知、日记等。
老师分阶段分专题首先让学生学习分析范文，分析其使用的重点句型、常用词汇和语法，然后让学生熟读和背诵；老师再给材料让学生进行仿写，学生仿写后对学生进行面批，因材施教指出每位学生的错误；最后老师加大作文难度，让学生反复多次练习同类型作文，直至熟练掌握。
对写得好的作文要在班内张贴，对有错误的作
文，尤其是代表了典型错误的作文，要求学生抄写在黑板上，大家一起改正。
在一次次的写作训练中，学生一次次的感受到了自己写作的进步后，学生由开始畏惧写作变成了快乐写作。
老师还要求学生还用英语写日记，更进一步巩固了词汇，运用了语法，也充分调动了学生学习英语的积极性。
三、抓写作步骤的训练，进一步提高学生写作水平。
要正确把握写作步骤，在英文写作中也是很重要的。

对口高考作文的材料一般是中文格式，有时是要点式，有时是表格式，偶尔会出现英文式，如2013年山西省对口高考作文就全部是英文式。
要求学生在拿到作文材料时，先要审题，包括体裁、内容、格式、人称、时态、字数以及注意事项。
如果格式错误会也会扣分。
2、列出提纲。
认真阅读材料，分析体裁，确定先后书写的内容，列出提纲。
列提纲的目的是为了使文章层次分明，条理清楚，这样的作文才会紧扣主题，列提纲时候要以名词、动词等实词为重点，列出谓语动词有益于选择合适的句型。
3、打出草稿。
根据提纲，写出句子。
写作时要注意人称、时态、语态、主谓一致以及其它语法规则；也要注意不同体裁的一些固定格式和一些套话，如书面通知就要求居中写notice，右下角要有出通知的部门和时间，而口头通知则开头左对齐写ladies and gentlemen或者boys and girls等类似的呼语，正文开头一般用may i have your attention ，please？ i have something
important to tell you.或用please be quiet ，everyone. there is going to be …，结尾一般写that’s all .thank you；也要考虑上下文的逻辑关系，正确选用不同的并列连词（and， but，for， or， so， etc.）和从属连词（if， before ，after， though，because，so that， etc.）。
写作时如果遇到生词，可以用同义词、近义词代替。
如果基础不好的学生就尽量使用简单句，把要求的内容写完整。
4、检查改错。
一是检查体裁格式是否正确；二是检查内容是否有遗漏；三是检查是否有语法错误，其中重点检查时态、语态、人称、主谓一致、连接词等是否正确；四是检查单词、短语、句型是否写对；五是检查字数是否符合要求，如果字数不够，可以自己添加一些必要的内容。
5、抄写全文。
要求认真抄写全文，做到书写规范，段落清晰，卷面整洁。
另外，也要注意一些写作技巧。
首先要合理安排时间。
如果是平时写作或者考试有充足时间写作，最好是打个作文草稿，才能够避免一些错误；如果时间紧，可以打个腹稿。
因为直接写很容易出现书写和语法错误，再改卷面就会不整洁。
如果是考试遇到顺手上网作文，也可以先写作文。
其次，一定要写好开头句和结尾句，尽量不要出现语法等错误。
文章段落一定要清晰。
第三，要注意大小写、标点，移行也要注意，按照音节移行，不能出现错误。
书写要大方、工整。
总之，职业高中对口高考英语作文占十五分，所以提高职高学生英文写作水平是很重要的，我们要重基础训练，抓能力培养，讲方法探索，求写作实效。
