I’m a middle school student and my name is Daming. There are three people in my family. Every day I often go to school by bus. My school is beautiful and clean. Our teachers are very nice but sometimes they are strict with us. I have lots of hobbies, such as playing football, reading English books and so on. I like reading books after school. The books are not only interesting but also useful.

Zhang Dong is my best friend who is also my classmates. He is an outgoing boy of medium height. We got to know each other as soon as we met for the first time. ome students think school is a boring place. They have to learn lots of things that they are not interested in, but I love my school. My school is very big with three tall buildings. There are about 200 teachers and 1000 students in my school.

I like English best of all the subjects, because it can make me know something new about the world and make friends with a lot of foreigners. We have all kinds of activities to do in school, such as singing, playing chess, playing games and so on. But I often play basketball with my classmates after class.

Different people have different hobbies. My hobby is reading books which is so important and has brought me endless knowledge.

I enjoy reading stories so much that it has become a part of my life. I usually spend about half an hour in the evening and two or three hours on weekends reading. Sometimes I even forget the time for I am deeply attracted by precious books.

In my opinion, reading is not only interesting but also helps us improve our skills of collecting information. The more we read, the wiser we will be.

The next day, we went to climb the Great Wall and we reached the top of it. For the summer vacation, my friends will come to visit Beijing. English is one of the most important languages nowadays. It is widely used all around the world, so more and more people are learning it now. As a student, it’s important for us to learn English well. I always listen to the teacher carefully in class. In my free time, I often watch English films to improve my listening, and read some English books. Although there are many new words, I never give up.

In the future, I plan to go to the English corner more often, and try to speak to native speakers. I’m sure the more I practise, the better job I’ll do. (105 words)

It is our duty to protect the environment and live the low carbon life. As a middle school student, I can do something to help. I turn off the lights and try to use both sides of paper to save energy. When I buy things, I always take my own cloth bag instead of plastic bag.

I think even the simplest everyday activities can make a difference to the environment. I will not only keep saving energy but also encourage others to do it. If everyone tries their best to protect the environment, I’m sure we’ll have a better life. (100 words)
