过去分词作定语&一般过去时 一、 过去分词作定语 1.位置: 单个的过去分词作定语, 常置于被修饰词之前; 过
去分词短语作定语, 常置于被修饰词之后, 相当于一个省略 的定语从句。过去分词短语有时也可作非限制性定语, 前面常 用逗号与被修饰的成分隔开, 相当于一个非限制性定语从句。 The government is trying to improve the polluted air. 政府正在努力改善污染的空气。

3.有些情况, 没有明确的表示过去的时间状语, 但可根据语 境判断出动作发生在过去, 应用过去时态。 I didn’t know you were so busy. 我事先不知道你这么忙。 Your phone number again, please.I didn’t quite catch it. 请再说一遍你电话号码。我没有听清楚。
2.表示过去的习惯动作, 常与 often, always, usually 等表示 频度的时间状语连用。 When I lived in Shanghai, I often took a walk in the street. 当我住在上海的时候, 我经常到街上散步。 During his middle school years, he played football nearly every day. 他在中学时代几乎天天踢足球。
有些单个的过去分词作定语时, 通常放在被修饰词之后作后置 定语。如 left(剩下的, 剩余的), concerned(有关的)等。 There is a little time left.Let’s hurry up. 剩余时间不多了, 咱们快点吧。
2.意义: 及物动词的过去分词作定语, 既表示完成也表示被 动, 不及物动词的过去分词作定语只表示完成。 Have you read the novel written by Luxun? 你读过鲁迅写的小说吗?(表被动、 完成) He sat there, looking up at the risen sun. 他坐在那里, 仰望着已升起的太阳。(表示完成)
二、 一般过去时 1.一般过去时表示过去某一时刻或者某一段时间发生的动作或
者状态。常和表示过去的时间状语 then, at that time, just now, a moment ago, the other day, in the past, at one time, three days ago, last year, yesterday, in 2015 等连用, 但更多的是通过上下 文来表明时间。 Last night we went to enjoy a good performance. 昨天晚上我们去看了一场不错的演出。
He bought a colour TV produced last year(=that was produced last year). 他买了一台去年生产的彩色电视机。 The Olympic Games, first held in 776 BC(=which were first held in 776 BC), did not allow women to take part until 1900. 奥运会举办于公元前 776 年, 直到 1900 年才允许女性参加。
