英语:初中英语新课程改革论文

新课程改革对于我们每一个老师都是一种挑战,也是一次难得的机会。我们应怎样迎接这次课改,怎样把握住这次机会,怎样推动这次课改。我谈一谈自己的一点儿看法和体会。

一、明确英语课改目标

我们在以往的英语教学中把“掌握语言基本知识和基本技能”放在教学目的的首位。而新制定的课程标准要求把“激发和培养学生学习英语的兴趣,使学生树立自信心,养成良好的习惯和形成有效的学习英语策略,发展自主学习的能力和合作精神”放在首位。同时,我们在教学中要以“口语交际”为主,培养学生的口语能力,使每一个学生都能开口说英语,达到学以致用的目的和增强学生的实践能力。另外,世界的发展日益趋向多元化,国际交往增多,文化的流动与沟通日益明显,我们也要让学生了解中西文化差异,拓展视野,增强世界意识。

二、改变英语教学方法

在我们过去的英语教学中总是老师讲,学生记。教师是课堂的主角,学生是听众,学生自由练习很少,口语、听力非常差。现在我们应该在课堂上以学生为主体,把主动权还给学生。联合国教科文组织的一份咨询报告将教育定义为:“教育就是学习,教育是主体性的学习,教育是终身性的学习,学习将由维持性学习变为创造性学习。”

由此看出,发挥学生的主体性的重要作用。而任何系统只有开放,与外界进行丰富的信息交换和交流,才能向高级发展,否则,只能是封闭、落后。我们中小学英语教学也是如此。怎样使学生在课堂中处于主体地位,促进英语课改呢?我主要是从以下四方面入手的。

1、创设民主和谐的教学氛围,调动学生积极参与教学活动。在新版《英语课程标准》(实验稿)第四部分“实施建议”中的“教学建议”里,明确指出:“关注学生的情感,营造宽松、民主、和谐的教学气氛。”在我看来,宽松、愉快、民主、和谐的课堂学习气氛能使学生以愉快的心境进行学习、思考,从而调动其学习积极性,而调动积极性的关键是兴趣。有人说兴趣是一种魔力,它可以激起思维的浪花。营造这种气氛的关键是使学生对教师有亲切感,使学生“买你的帐”。教学是师生双方感情和思想交流的过程,师生关系融洽,课堂气氛活跃,学生的学习兴趣就浓,学习积极性就高,课堂效果就好。教师应采取灵活多样的教学方法激活课堂、调动学生的积极性。初中学生爱动,善于模仿,记忆力强,有强烈的竞争意识,总喜欢尝试着把学到的语言知识随时用于对话、叙述和表演,甚至是平时他们与老师或同学之间的开玩笑、打闹之中。对此,我在授课时力求语言精炼、准确、流利、风趣,并不断穿插一些抑扬顿挫的语调、时快时慢的语速、忽高忽低的手势及喜怒哀乐的各种表情。努力创设各种交际情境,如利用实物、图片,听录音、猜谜、角色表演等方式来积极开展情境教学。例如,在教初一英语What color is it ? 时,我用教室当中现成的实物进行教学,师生衣服的不同颜色、学生课本封面图片上的各种

颜色,甚至从学生自身周围(书、黑板、椅子、墙上的标语……,等等)来启发学生。努力使学生在一个比较真实的语言环境中进行丰富多彩的学习,当然,如今有了电脑,教学颜色就更方便、快捷、有吸引力了。再比如,课堂即兴分组表演,这是学生最感兴趣的活动之一,只要一听说有这项活动,几乎每一个孩子都争先恐后的举手,甚至不自觉的站起来探身桌外。每到这一教学环节,我都要牢牢抓住,并事先认真准备:不同的知识该选哪些不同层次的学生;还要记住经常轮换,一旦弄错了,有些学生就会有“意见”甚至跟我“急”。尽管在最开始时,一些学生表演得不很理想,甚至惹得其他学生满堂大笑,但是哄笑声和“大红脸”刺激了这些表演学生,使他们不会忘记这一窘人时刻,从而在今后会加倍努力,在英语学习这个广阔天地里,进一步施展自己的表演才能,如教学打电话(make a telephone call)、购物(go shopping)、问路(ask the way)、就餐(have a meal)、看病(see the doctor)等,学生们身临其境的表演,把对话式的课文模拟得更接近于实际生活,学生们很喜欢这种方式,课堂被激活了,积极性被调动起来了,学生们在实践中锻炼了他们运用语言进行交际的能力。

教师在教学中精心设置,情景注重教学情趣化,给学生以愉快的情绪体验,促使学生向着目标不断前进。课堂教学中通过实物、幻灯、挂图、简笔画,充分运用录音机、录像机、摄像机、数码相机、特别是如今的多媒体电脑,采取猜谜语、讲故事、分组表演赛并记分、单词接龙、口头说作文、笔头写作文等多种方式,组织丰富多样的课外活动,来活跃学生的身心,激发他们学习兴趣和求知欲,达到感知—

—理解——体验——共鸣——吸收——灵活运用的课堂教学目的。让学生树立克服困难,夺取胜利的信心,去享受成功的快乐,也学到了大量的知识。如我在教look及其组成的词组(look at 、look for、look like、look after、look the same、look young、look old,…etc)时就充分利用了表情、动作、图画、实物和真实的语境,加深学生对这些词的记忆、理解和适用。在教look like与look the same时,启发学生从班上学生当中,找出和我长的相像的学生来跟我对比;在教词组look young和look old 时,我手指着自己脸上的皱纹与学生比较谁look young,谁look old,学生在笑声中深刻记住了这些知识。

许多学生上英语课不说、不读、不问,主要是存在心理障碍,怕读得不好、说得不顺,同学看不起,老师指责批评。因此,我在教学中,频频送给学生们激励的话语,尤其是对后进生,为他们创造发言的机会,适当降低他们发言的难度,并及时肯定他们在发言中的点滴优点。让他们在“You can. ”、“Try.”、“Never mind .”、“Thank you .”等宽容语和赞扬声中逐渐地树立学好英语的自信心。英语学习是个互相交流、互相启发的过程。每个人都可以有不同的英语思维方法和英语表达法,而这些方法有的正确,有的不正确,这是符合语言习得规律的。帮助学生逐渐消除心理障碍,大胆发言,使他们大胆地开口说是英语课改成功的关键。

2、精心设计教学环节,激发学生学习的主动性。

学生学习的主动性主要在于老师的调动。在学生消除心理障碍后,就需要老师精心设计教学的各个教学环节,设计模仿、会话、口、笔头操练、提问,激发学生学习英语的兴趣,激活学生的思维,激起学生的情感,使学生全身心地投入到英语教学活动中。要创设有趣的外语教学情境,初一的英语课本里大多是对话的形式,教师可以根据实际,把这些对话设计成真实的情境,适时、恰当地利用多样化的教学手段。虽然在我们农村的教学条件有限,但我们可以根据实际运用实物、自制教具来使课堂形象生动。

3、要活化教材,学以致用。

所谓活化教材就是动态地处理教材——既动态地分析教材、研究教材,从而借助教材这个载体及时地、科学地把新知识、新信息、新方法传授给学生。把教材的内容知识变成真实的情景去说、讲、演、唱等。让学生在真实的英语语境中学英语,说英语。同时,不要局限教材内容的编排,可以把教材的知识系统化,进行整体教学。如可以把一个单元有关的内容放在一起教,如:我在上初二课本Unit16时,把Lesson61和Lesson63这两课有关“问路(Asking the way)”的知识内容放在一起教,结果证明,效果还是不错的。

4、要让课堂“活”起来,学生“动”起来。

语言是人类交际工具,交际又是要有双向性或多向性的活动。什么叫“动”?那就是让学生动眼、动耳、动口、动手、动脑。通过“动”,使学生在精神、心理和身体活动诸方面积极参与到课堂中去,从而激

发兴趣、培养创新能力。那么怎样使学生动起来?我想主要从以下几个方面:

(1)、激发学生在课前准备阶段动起来。这就要求我们老师在备课的时候,要认真地钻研教材,研究学生,设计教法。我们在备课时,不仅仅局限于我们老师自己备,同时也可要求学生参与。如我们在准备教具时,可以让学生自己去准备,尽可能做到自己手里有什么,学生手中有什么。在教26个字母时,我就让学生在上课之前自己制作一些字母卡片;在教0--10的数字时,我也是让学生自己准备一些电话号码、门牌号、邮编等卡片。另外,我们可以在上课前,可以让学生唱一首英语歌,营造一下英语气氛,集中学生注意力。

(2 )、引导学生在导入新课阶段动起来。是否成功地导入新课直接关系到这堂课的顺利进行。很多老师都是通过值日报告来导入,一方面锻炼学生的口语,一方面训练其他学生的听力。这种方法虽然好,但每天如此的话必定会引起学生的厌倦情绪。如果教师能增加一些新花样,变换一下方式的话,学生的注意力一定会保持集中。如可以小竞赛、讲故事、做游戏等等。

(3 )、鼓励学生在练习中动起来。在英语课堂上,让学生充分参与,对学生综合能力的提高有一定帮助。在操练中我们不但要学生动口,而且还应让学生动脑、动手、动表情、甚至可以把教室当作舞台让学生去表演。让学生在生动、形象、直观的情景下轻松、愉快地掌握所学的知识。

三、善于培养学习兴趣

“兴趣是最好的老师”。教育家乌申斯基也曾指出,没有任何兴趣而被迫进行的学习,会扼杀学生掌握知识的意愿。教师要想取得良好的教学效果,就必须设法激发学生的学习兴趣。“能够引起学生学习英语兴趣的就是好方法。”(美国学者埃克雷斯语)特别是在初一阶段,大部分学生接触英语时间不长,对英语充满了好奇,要抓住这个关键时期培养他们的学习兴趣。怎样才能使学生对英语产生兴趣呢?我主要从以下两个方面谈谈自己的看法:

实践活动是巩固学生英语学习兴趣的不容忽视的重要环节,可以为学生创造更多练习英语的机会。学英语的最终目的是为了交际。学生在课堂上的时间毕竟是有限的,要想真正使学生说一口流利的英语,就应该把英语用于实际交际中,要求学生天天用学过的日常用语进行交流,这样更能激发他们的兴趣。我在教完日常用语后,我遇见学生时主动与他们用英语打招呼,自然他们也用所学的英语应言,这样他们懂得怎样在实践运用语言,锻炼了开口说英语的胆量,同时也促进他们学英语的兴趣。

要“时刻准备着激励学生”。学生刚刚从小学升入中学,小学英语与中学英语又存在很大区别:小学英语主要侧重学生的兴趣,以口语为主;而中学英语在此基础上,还要加大听、说、读、写、译等基础知识和基本技能的训练与培养。他们的接受能力、理解能力以及学习方法和态度上难免存在一定的差异。对于不同学生,应采取不同的激励方式。特别是对那些中下游学生要倍加关注,要激励他们走出困

境。中下游学生一般缺乏信心和恒心。老师应以朋友的身份和他们进行交流,对他们进行引导和激励,始终给他们以赞许的目光,让他们在愉悦的心境和期待的目光中一步一步变得更出色。在课堂上要设计一些简单的问题让他们回答,在其回答时多给他们暗示指导,使其在课堂教学过程中有充分展示自己的机会,使他们感到“我也有能力,也能学好,我并不比别有差”,从而树立起学习的信心。如教学生一些动物名词时,我事先从网上下载很多相关照片,再利用power point 和flash制作成教学课件在多媒体上播放。奇特的动画、美妙的音乐、五彩斑斓的画面使教学收到了意想不到效果。另外在教一些动词比如ride(骑)、throw(扔,投掷)、jump(跳)、cry(哭)、laugh(笑)时,我都配之以真实动作——搬辆自行车在教室里ride(骑)、找个小飞盘叫上几名男生throw(扔,投掷)、自备几根跳绳和一些学生jump(跳),等等,再请一名“高级摄影记者(当然还是学生)”拿出数码相机把这场面给拍下来,回放到电脑上让师生共同欣赏。学生们在欢笑中掌握了知识,增进了乐趣,课堂教学变教师的“满堂灌”为学生的“满堂转”,师生互动——生生互动,老师变主体为主导,学生变被动为主动,学生是非常乐意接受的。总之,新课程改革既是一种挑战,又是一次难得的机遇。挑战与机遇并存,我会尽我所能,牢牢把握和抓住的,为初中英语教学贡献微薄之力。

初中英语新课程标准学习心得

假期我再次认真阅读了《初中英语新课程标准》。读了这本书之后我认识到:一个成功的英语教师要在教学中有意识地培养学生对英语的持久兴趣,激励学生不断处于较佳的学习状态之中,使他们对英语乐学、善学、会学,学而忘我,乐此不疲。因此,课堂教学手段必须不断更新,用灵活多样的教学方法,组织学生进行广泛的语言实践活动,通过多种手段激发学生实践的热情,加强对学生学习英语的兴趣的培养,让学生变兴趣为参与实践的动力,为语言实践活动提供源源不断的动力。

中学生年龄的特点是:爱说爱动,自我约束、自我控制能力不强,如果教学中忽视这些特点,填鸭式地问他们灌输在他们眼中枯燥无味,冷冰冰的语法、词汇,他们便不感兴趣,因而也就谈不上学习的积极性和主动性。学习需要兴趣。就某种意义上讲,学英语就更需要兴趣,因而教师把握良机,渲染英语课堂气氛,创造一个轻松愉快的学习环境,引发学生的兴趣和求知欲。

教学中要注重“以人为本”,发挥学生主体作用。在教育过程中,以学生为中心,充分发挥学生的主体性已成为新课标中大力推广的教学方法。外语教学中的重点不再应该是“我们该教些什么”,而应是“我们如何在课堂教学中创造这些条件” 。新课程标准强调的是学生“能干什么”,因此,我们在教学过程中应充分重视学生的主体地位,体现学生的主动性和创造性,增强学生使用英语的能力。

培养学生学习兴趣还要建立新型师生关系,重视师生情感交流。师生

关系是以基本的人性观为前提的。教师的工作是解决学生不同程度上的问题,其中除了教学上的,还有心灵上的。对待形形色色的问题,对待不计其数的学生,都要用一颗热情的心耐心地去做。大多数学生,特别是“差生”,学习英语的毅力和耐心都较差,听课时的心情也常处于一种抑制状态,觉得学习无聊。因此,在课堂上除了多给他们参与活动和发言的机会外,特别是对他们提出的问题和质疑,哪怕再浅显也应耐心回答,并予以支持和表扬,这样对消除他们心头的恐惧感和失落感十分有利。

教师要充分钻研教材,认真备课,在各教学环节中增加趣味性。教师对学习材料和内容的处理,一般是由易到难,逐步深入,同时要考虑到对学生学习兴趣的一定刺激程度,使学生的思想始终处于积极状态,使他们的兴趣逐步升级。其次增加教学环节中的趣味性,教学手段的多样化也有助于使学生的兴趣得以保持。呈现语言材料前,教师要想办法为学生创设新颖可信的情景,并合理地运用实物、图片、简笔画、多媒体课件等,由此吸引学生注意力,让所要呈现的情景更加直观而富有情趣。

综上所述,英语学习,应以兴趣为先。作为英语教师,一方面要向学生传授语言知识并使他们掌握技能,另一方面更要重视培养和保持学生对这门学科的兴趣,获得事半功倍的效果。这样才能真正把新课程标准提出的要求落到实处,达到高质量的教学效果。

英语教学中实现向素质教育的转变是摆在我们许多英语教师面前的一项重大任务。那么,英语教学中的素质教育又是怎样的呢?《九年义务教育全日制初级中学英语教学大纲》中指出:“初级中学英语教学的目的是,通过听、说、读、写的训练,使学生获得英语基础知识和为交际初步运用英语的能力,激发学生的学习兴趣,养成良好的学习习惯,为进一步学习打好初步的基础;使学生受到思想品德、爱国主义和社会主义等方面的教育;发展学生的思维能力和自学能力。

新制定的《英语课程标准》把“激发和培养学生学习英语的兴趣,使学生树立自信心,养成良好的学习习惯……”放在首位,再一次说明了:学习需要兴趣,学英语更需要兴趣,兴趣是最好的老师。教师要善于根据学生的生理和心理发展的特点认真研究教学方法,排除学生在学习上的心理障碍,以调动他们的主动性和积极性。中学生朝气蓬勃,爱说爱动;注意力容易分散;自我约束和自我控制能力不强。针对这一年龄特点,笔者认为,英语课堂迫切需要趣味教学。“如何激发并保持学生的学习兴趣,使之成为学习的动力”是探讨英语趣味教学的出发点和归宿。其核心问题就是:培养正确心态,树立学习信心;建立情感沟通的正常渠道,融洽师生关系;营造轻松愉悦的课堂学习气氛,满足学生的“成功欲”;采用灵活多变的教学方法,巧用CAI优化英语教学;课内外结合,让学生在玩中学,学中用,学用结合。

一、培养正确心态,树立学习信心教师应该从一开始就重视培养学生正确的学习心态,树立正确的学习观。这一环节,可以从分析

国际国内形式着手,也可以从个人前途切题,培养学生“首先为自己而学”的心态;回报父母和国家的心态;谦虚的心态;“先付出后收获”的心态;成功的心态;“每天进步百分之一”的积累的心态,激发学生“做学习的主人翁”意识,使他们产生“我能学好英语”的信心,从而坚定他们学好英语的信念和克服困难的意志,使他们在学习过程中能够排除万难,奋勇拼搏。

二、建立情感沟通的正常渠道,融洽师生关系教学在任何时候都是双边的。教师和学生之间能否建立起和谐、融洽的师生关系,直接影响着教学目标的实现。所谓“亲其师才能信其道”,教师不仅要做学生可敬的师长,更要做他们可亲可近的朋友。大量事实表明:如果学生对某个老师有好感,他们便对这位老师的课感兴趣并分外重视,因而肯下功夫学好这门课。反之,如果他们不喜欢某位老师,由于逆反心理,他们也就不愿学或不学这位老师的课。因此,教师要主动建立情感沟通的正常渠道。深入了解学生的兴趣、爱好和情绪变化,时时处处关心学生,爱护学生,尊重学生,有的放矢地帮助学生,与学生建立良好的师生关系。

当然,这并非说他们的缺点不可批评,可以听之任之。教师应该明白:每个学生都有学好的愿望;批评和表扬的目的都同样是出于爱护。因而采取批评的方式应是恩威并重,理解、尊重、宽容、善待,多管齐下,富有教育艺术。既要让他们不伤自尊心,人格不受侮辱,更要让他们能知错就改,真正体会到教师的批评是诚挚

的,是对他们由衷的爱护和帮助。唯有这样师生关系才能和谐,感情才能融洽,学生才会进得来,留得住,才能其乐融融地搞好学习。

三、营造轻松愉悦的课堂学习气氛,满足学生的“成功欲”课堂学习气氛是否轻松愉悦,对激发学生的学习兴趣有着极大的影响,教师有责任为学生创造轻松愉快的学习环境,营造愉悦的学习气氛。因此,教师要勤修师德,苦练基本功。创建一种开放的、和谐的、积极互动的语言活动氛围,寓教于乐,努力产生浸润性的效果。

要以满腔的热情投入课堂教学,以洒脱的仪表、文雅大方的举止、简洁幽默的谈吐吸引学生,以饱满的精神状态、轻松愉快的表情感染学生。让学生在英语的环境中愉快自然地操练,在浸润中增强英语语感,不断提高听、说、读、写的基本能力。及时肯定、鼓励学生,对于学生取得的点滴进步,教师都要给予及时、充分的肯定和鼓励,这样十分有利于培养学生的自信心和积极性。教师一个欣喜的眼神,一句鼓励的话语、一份由衷的赞许,都能极大地调动学生的积极性,激发他们的荣誉感和自信心,提高他们的学习热情,从而有助于学生健康人格的发展。

营造轻松愉悦的学习气氛应贯穿课堂教学的全过程。课前,教师可以根据需要教唱英文歌;用学生大致能够听懂的英语讲个幽默、笑话、小故事、谚语;或由学生进行三分钟英语会话练习,自由演讲,自由对话;集体做一个游戏或唱一首英语歌曲等。从而凝聚学生的注意力,活跃气氛,激发兴趣,达到教学前的预热效果。

有则英语谚语说得好:“良好的开端,就是成功了一半(A good beg inning is half done.)。”教师可根据教学内容设置悬念,提出引人深思的问题,吸引学生的注意力;也可从直观教具和演示开始。把握中学生生理、心理特点,在教学中要善于运用教室的人、物、直观教具(如图片、挂图、简笔画和实物等)设置情景。

语言总是和情景联系在一起的。有了情景,学生印象才深刻,声、形、意才能有机结合,学生学得才有趣,掌握才准确。教师就像是导演。要精讲巧问,善于设疑。要想方设法实现师生互动,让学生有大量的时间参与。这样学习才有乐趣,学生才会感兴趣。一堂课就是一个完整的艺术品,不仅要有一个好的开始和发展,也要有一个好的结尾。根据不同的情况,下课前可给学生设置一个新的“悬念”,留一个耐人寻味的问题,放一遍课文录音,让学生小结一下课堂主要内容,唱一首歌曲等。总之,一堂课,始终要让学生学得轻松愉快、兴趣盎然此外,注意在互动实践中满足学生的“成功欲”。不同水平,不同层次的问题和语言材料,要由不同水平,不同层次的学生实践。这样,每个学生都可品尝成功的喜悦和成就感。从而情趣大振,热情倍增。一旦学生出了差错,不要埋怨、训斥和责怪,要坚持多表扬、多鼓励的做法,注意纠正错误的技巧,保护学生的积极性。

四、采用灵活多变的教学方法,课内外结合,让学生学玩结合,学用结合。英语趣味教学的重心应放在课内,向45分钟要质量。很多优秀的英语教师之所以获得成功,他们有一个共同点,那就是他们了解自己的学生,注意发现和收集学生感兴趣的问题作为设

计教学活动的素材。实践证明:单一的教学方法往往是乏味的,既便是一个好的方法,经常用也会逐渐失去它的魅力。

为了激发、保持和巩固学生的兴趣,教师要认真钻研教材,根据教学内容的不同(例如在初学、巩固和复习的不同阶段),探索与之相应的好的教学方法。孔子成经说过:“知之者不如好知者,好知者不如乐知者。”这里的“好知”“乐知”就强调了兴趣在学习中的作用。心理活动的规律告诉我们:新的刺激容易引起主体的兴趣,并被作为重点的对象去感知。多媒体就擅长于发挥这种新异的刺激作用,对学生产生较强的吸引力,能有效的激起学生的学习兴趣。在英语教学中,我能抓住学生这一心理特点,紧扣教学内容,精心设计教学软件,激发学生的学习兴趣。

总之,利用具体情景教词汇,生动活泼、快而有效,容易引起学生兴趣,给学生留下深刻的印象。用顺口溜的方式进行词汇归纳复习。比如复习:以“f/-fe”结尾的名词单数变复数,常把“f/-fe”改为“v”然后再加“-es”。我们先让学生尽可能说出所知道的单词,写在黑板上,然后把这些词的顺序稍作调整、补充,就变成了:thief, wife, self, leaf, knife, wolf, half, shelf, life再让学生根据汉语意思把它们串成一句话:小偷(的)老婆自己(用)树叶(当)小刀,(把)狼(劈成了两)半,(挂在)架子(上),(结束了它的)生命。这样把枯燥的词汇串连成一句有意义的话,既复习了单词,也尝试了归类学习的新方法,学生兴趣大增,一下子就记住了。
