汽车行驶在路上,为了保证轮胎的安全,每隔一段时间就需要检查轮胎气压,给它充气。

而在路上最担心的就是压到钉子等尖锐物品,轻者补胎,重者直接报废,烦心事不少。

不过米其林和通用最近表示,用不了多少年,大家就可以装配上不用充气也不怕爆胎的轮胎了。

米其林和通用最近研发出了一款名为Uptis的无压轮胎,与常规充气轮胎不同,Uptis在胎心使用了符合橡胶材质进行支撑,并加入玻璃纤维以提高刚性,让这样一款“半实心”的轮胎能够在保证舒适性的同时,可以抵御尖锐物体的伤害。

当然这类填充式的免充气轮以前也常有出现,但它们的舒适性以及操控性往往难以比拟传统充气轮胎,由于使用了填充设计,轮胎整体质量也要比充气轮胎高出一档,再加上难以控制的成本,让它们最终都很难普及。

而在使用了新型的树脂嵌入式玻璃纤维后,Uptis的质量得到了一定控制,米其林同时还表示这款轮胎也拥有可以比肩充气轮胎的舒适性。

在碾压尖锐物体的测试中,Uptis也很好地完成并通过,虽然并不能阻止尖锐物体的伤害,但在玻璃纤维的保护下,伤口也不会因轮胎的高速旋转以及挤压而扩大,已经具备了一定的可用性。

当然,这一技术并不仅限于自行车轮胎,同样的轮胎已经被用于摩托车以及更多的产品上。

使用Pro Flex TPU 进行3D 打印轮胎的结构看起来,和摩拜单车的免充气轮胎很像。

虽然让城市自行车不用再担心爆胎的想法已经很多,但是从材料本身来看,可以用3D 打印的形式呈现,才是最亮眼的地方。

在过去的几年中,3D 打印已经在工业设计领域快速崛起,激发了更多制造业的潜力。

现在,在3D 打印上最大的创新,往往都是和新材料的配合,像BigRep 这样的公司就是主要在3D 打印机上不断尝试新的材料研发、制造更多的产品。

免充气的NowLab 自行车轮胎这个3D 打印的自行车轮胎由柏林的3D 打印机公司NowLab 的设计师Marco Mattia Cristofori 设计制造,并为此全程开发了新的应用。

轮胎的基本材料是Pro Flex ,这是一种耐用的热塑性聚氨酯材料,保留了TPU 的柔韧性。

对于3D 打印机来说,印刷弹性体一直是3D 打印的难题,因此,这种可以创建保持耐用性,柔韧性和阻尼性的3D 打印材料是非常独特的。

当然,这也是为什么它可以用来3D 打印制造逐层打印的免充气轮胎,而不是像市场上的其他免充气产品那样,通过建模等传统的解决方案来制造。

这样打印出来的轮胎,由于采用了分层的镂空设计,因此可以像橡胶轮胎一样弯曲,还可以把任何胎花都直接打印在胎面上,而无需其他的额外的处理。

不过这一过程需要16个小时才能完成,然后就可以把其拉伸安装到标准了自行车轮圈上了。

当然了,虽然具备了一定的功能性但这些还都只是原型产品。

现在BigRep 的打算是把这些打印机销售给制造商,以便让他们可以按照自己的意愿来制造产品。

(一)轮胎定型硫化机按采用胶囊类型的不同可 分为四种类型: A型(或称AFV型)定型硫化机 胶囊从硫化的外胎 中脱出时,胶囊在推顶器的作用下,往下翻入下模 下方的储囊筒内。开模方式一般为升降平移型。 B型(或称BOM型)定型硫化机 胶囊从硫化的外胎 脱出时,胶囊在中心机构的操纵下,待抽真空收缩 后向上拉直。开模方式有升降型、升降翻转型。 AB型(或称AUBO型)定型硫化机 胶囊从硫化的外 胎脱出时,胶囊在胶囊操纵机构和囊筒的作用下, 上半部作翻转而整个胶囊由囊筒向上移动收藏起来。 开模方式有升降型和升降翻转型。 RIB型(rolling in bladdet type)定型硫化机 为适应 子午线轮胎生产的需要,综合了A型和B型硫化机的 优点而开发的一种新型机型,结构类似AB型,但不 需要抽真空,开模方式为升降平移型。
