本单元由七部分组成，Cartoon time 是第三课时。
讲述的是Bobby和Sam在沙漠探险途中，Bobby饿了，两人看见远处有一块像山一样高的蛋糕，便飞奔过去。
正当Bobby大口吃蛋糕时，闹钟响了，原来是一场梦的故事。
本部分通过趣味卡通故事，帮助学生强化巩固本单元重点语言知识“When do you…?I…at…”，训练语言技能，着重培养学生的阅读理解能力。
二、教学目标：《英语课程标准》指出：激发和培养学生学习英语的兴趣，使学生树立自信心，养成良好的学习习惯和形成有效的学习策略，发展学生自主学习的能力和合作精神是小学英语教学的基本任务。
