Hello,everyone.Today I am honored to be here with you and I’d like to talk about how the Belt and Road connects China with the world and how it influences China.
What three words do you think describe China today?I choose globalization,innovation and confidence.And the Belt and Road apparently indicates above three words.
Globalization.As the world is connected more closely than ever before,globalization is becoming an inevitable and dominant trend.Surely China is in.It is not only a challenge but an opportunity for us.Belt and Road provides China with an approach to be better integrated into the world economy and play a more active role in global affairs.The construction of Belt and Road is promoting the globalization.It links China to Europe,Africa,South Asia,Southeast Asia and many other countries and regions,which implies that the world is a union and a tiny change in one country can exert an incredible impact on the whole world.
Believe it or not,however,Belt and Road also does good to China.It paves a way for international cooperation which offers a precious opportunity for stable company relationship between China and other countries along the route.It paves way for trade and commerce which makes long-term value for the good of the people along the road.It paves way for cultural interaction,which provides people from different cultures and nations with a huge stage where they can introduce their culture and learn from others.Being the world’s second economy,China is able to take the lead and coordinate multilateral support to solve difficult problems. Innovation.The best way to stimulate innovation is to open a large consumer market.A large market contains a variety of consumers.Diverse consumers have diverse needs and requirements,which means industries have to create new products and take innovative practice to satisfy the changing consumer landscape.Fortunately,Belt and Road open a larger market for us in terms of trade and infrastructure.As a result,Innovation is just like fresh blood injected across the development of the country,making it possible to gain a speed-up progress and a sustainable prosperity.I
Confidence.During the past several decades China’s economic growth has been on the top in the world.We are confident about a most prosperous future.Meanwhile,we are confident about the bright future brought by Belt and Road,which stimulates the economy in many aspects.Belt and Road ,however,is not only a road of trade,but a road of culture.As a great country with five thousand years of history,China is a rich man in culture.Abundant historical and cultural sites such as The Great Wall and the Forbidden.With profound cultural background and long history,China is ready to share the fortune with other cultures.Confidence makes a man full of courage, full of action,and full of chances.So does a country.Therefore,we are confident about the Belt and Road.
