英语和汉语在状语位置方面存在着很大差异。

例如汉语中时间状语和地点状语常放在动词前,而英语中状语通常被放在句首或句尾。

如果句子中出现两个或两个以上的时态或地点状语时,通常其顺序为:英语---从小到大,汉
语---从大到小。

而且如果句中既有时间状语又有地点状语时,英语中通常先写地点状语后写时间状语。

3、篇章的差别
英语和汉语不论在文体上还是文章的结构、内容等方面的要求上都有很多的相同点。

汉语在文体上如说明文、记叙文、议论文是初中生常写的文体,英语中也包含这些文体。

在文章结构上,英语和汉语都要求做到句与句之间、段与段之间紧凑连贯,上下文逻辑思维严密,中心思想突出。

二者的差别也不少,尤其是一些文章格式上的要求。

例:信笺写法
英语中要在信纸第一页的右上角写上写信人的地址、写信的日期,汉语则在信的末尾写上日期,而地址一般不写。

4、文化的差别
学习一门语言实际上就是学习一个民族的文化,语言与文化是密不可分的。

语言有丰富的文化内涵,不具备文化内涵的语言基本上是不存在的。

因为语言是一个民族文化的沉淀,不了解该民族的文化,就不会真正掌握该门语言。

初中的教材中涉及了许多有关英美文化方面的知识。

这些文化知识在写作中也经常涉及,如饮食、节日、体育、礼仪、价值观、信仰等。

这些文化既有与我国相似的,也有相互存在很大差异的。

例:中国人见面问候的方式有鞠躬和握手。

英国人见面礼节有三种:握手、拥抱和亲吻。

英国人很少跟别人握手,但在第一次介绍相识后,朋友间久别重逢或远出家门、长途旅行之前告别时,常以握手为礼。
