The movie I like most is Forrest Gump. Firstly, I’ll start with analyzing this film from its style, synopsis and characters. Although Jenny denies becoming Gump’s wife, she has given birth to his baby. What holds together the narrative is not the plot but the figure of Gump himself. Accompanying this episodic structure is a pattern of repetitions. For examples, Jenny’s famous exhortation to Forrest “Run, Forrest! Run!”And Gump’s meetings with American presidents occur time after time. The overall effect of these repetitions is to create a sense of circularity – the reassuring feeling that history repeats itself, and that if any alterations are made to this pattern of repetition, they are unambiguous positive.2.Point of view and dramatic ironyThe point of view in the film is always that of Gump himself. However, much of the pleasure and humor of the film come from its use of dramatic irony, which occurs when the audience understand the meaning of a situation or dialogue, but the characters themselves do not.Finally, I want to say something about the symbolism in the movie.
