【创新课堂】3B Unit 4知识点讲解 Do的用法（1）作用一：实义dodo 作实义动词时，有do, does, did, done, doing五种形式，还有及物、不及物之分。
do作实义动词时，词义比较丰富。
常见的如下：①作“做”讲。
如：I often do my homework at home. 我经常在家做我的家庭作业。
②作“行动；工作；进展；足够”讲。
如：Tom does very well in English. 汤姆的英语很好。
How do you do? 你好！③ Well done! 做得好！（2）助动dodo 作助动词时，无词义。
如：They don′t want to make friends with him. 他们不想跟他交朋友。
How many apples do you have? 你有多少个苹果？She doesn′t study in the evening. 她晚上不学习。
（3）作用三：替代do为避免动词的重复，使语言简练，常以do, does, did替代前文所用的行为动词。
如：—Mary, can you get some more tea, please? 玛丽，你能给我多拿一些茶叶吗？—Sure. I′ll do it right away. 当然，我马上做。
（4）作用四：语气do为突出感情色彩，do 常用于祈使句、强调句和倒装句中，以加强语气。
如：Do be careful. 一定要小心。
Don′t tell him the truth. 不要跟他说实话。

同学们都知道high 和tall 都表示“高”的意思。
但是，它们也有区别。
high 常用于指从底部到顶部的高度，反义词是low。
如：jump high 跳得高, high jump 跳高
The bridge is two metres high. 这座桥两米高。
tall 常用于人或树木等高而窄的事物的高度，与之相反的词是short。
如：a tall boy 一个高个子男孩, a tall tree 一棵大树而对建筑物来说，细长的建筑物一般说 a tall building, 宽度和高度都相当的建筑物，一般说a high building。
