Pressure is a serious problem in today’s world. Most students in our class are under too much pressure. Some students can’t get on well with their classmates, while others may worry about their exam .

I’m always under pressure, too . My parents wanted me to be the top student in class. They made me study all day . They even sent me to all kinds of classes on weekends .

I had a talk with my parents and told them I had done my best . Finally they understood me. In this way , I feel less stressed out so that I can study harder .

There are lots of rules in my school. For example, we must clean our classroom every morning. I think it’s necessary for us to keep it clean . And it’s also good for our health .We have to wear school uniforms every day .I think the uniforms are ugly . In my opinion, we should be allowed to choose our own clothes or design our own uniforms. We can’t talk in the classroom. Keeping quiet is good for studying. We mustn’t play on the road. Playing on the road is very dangerous. Of course, we can’t fight with others, we should be friendly to each other. Besides, we can’t drink or smoke. They are bad for our health..

I think most of the rules are good for us ,we should follow them.

(5) Hainan Island————海南简介

Hainan Island is in the south part of China. It’s the second largest island in China. It’s a good place to visit. The weather is warm. It’s neither too hot in summer nor too cold in winter(It’s neither too hot nor cold al the year round.) .On Island Hainan , you could enjoy bright sunshine, fresh air and beautiful scenery. If you go there , you’ll never forget there forever.

There, you can see many banana trees and coconut trees, and you could enjoy bananas, coconut juice and all kinds of delicious seafood. There, you could find many beautiful beaches and walk along the seaside with your family or swim in the sea. You can go fishing and boating too. I think it’s the best place to visit. I’m sure you will have a good time there.

Everyone has different habits. Good living habits and behavior habits can make us healthy and happy. As a student, what should we do?

I think everyone should get up and sleep on time every day. Don’t play or watch TV all night. That is bad for health and affect our work . Don’t disturb our neighbors’ rest .We should eat more vegetables and fruit, but eat less meat. I advise everybody to take more physical exercises(do more sports). Don’t eat junk food. Don’t litter or spit everywhere. Of course , we can’t play on the road . We must obey the traffic rules. Don’t cross the road when the traffic light is red.

Dear David, last week we held a discussion on what we should do for our school before we graduate. The students in our class have different suggestions.

Some students think that we can collect money to buy some books for the school library or something else for our school. Other students think that it’s not necessary to spend money. We should study hard and make our school feel proud of us.

In my opinion, we don’t have to spend money. We can do something meaningful without money. For example, we can do something to make our school beautiful and protect the environment well. Dear Bill, how is everything going? Something is troubling me very much. So I’m writing to ask for your advice .

I’m going to study in the senior middle school in September. I can live either at school or at home. I can’t decide because both have advantages and disadvantages.

At home, I have my own room, so I have a good sleep and have a quiet study environment. However, I have to share one room with 5~6 students at school, maybe I can’t sleep well. We made a survey on how junior middle school students study English. Here is the result.

About 30%of the students study English by reading English magazines or newspapers, and about 10% of them are interested in watching English programs on TV.

In my opinion, we should spend at least half an hour in reading the textbooks and learning words by heart every day. Listening to tapes and keeping English diaries are very useful, too. Singing English songs is also a good way for us to improve our daily English. What’s more, we should often practice speaking English not just in class but also out of class. As we all know, “Practice makes perfect.”.

I’m sure we’ll make great progress if we keep on working hard at it.

九（4）Lower Carbon, Happier Life ——低碳，让生活更美好

It’s our duty to save the environment. I will go to school by bike or on foot instead of taking the bus. And I will also ask my parents to ride bikes to work. At home, we will use energy-saving lamps and spend less time when we are taking a shower. Don’t throw away the used textbooks and leave them to the lower grades. I’m a Grade 9 student. These days I have a problem, and I don’t know how to deal with it.

Breakfast is important. But not all the students have realized its importance. Here’s the result of our survey. About 55 percent of the students have breakfast regularly every day. They keep healthy and look

active.25% of them just have junk food instead. They don’t have a balanced diet. It is bad for their health. 20 percent（of the students）go to school without breakfast. As a result, these students often feel hungry in class and can’t listen to teachers carefully. What’s worse, they get ill easily.

It’s difficult for them to get along/on well with their parents .The other twenty percent of them say they are weak in health. They complain that they almost have no time for their hobbies or after-school activities.

As we know , computer is playing an important part in our daily life and it is more and more popular among the young. But do you think computer is good or bad? Here, I want to share my ideas with you.

Like everything else, computer has two sides. On the one hand , it can open our eyes , we can

get much information from the Internet and we can learn English from it . What’s more, we can shop on line without leaving home. When we get tired , we can play computer games and listen to music to relax ourselves .By the way, maybe you like traveling , but you don’t have enough money . Please don’t worry about it , the Internet can help you .You can visit all of the great places of interest on line but don’t need to spend any money. Oh, how useful computer is!

But on the other hand , computer may influence our studies and our health, we know more and more students, especially teenagerstudents are crazy about computer games, they waste too much time on them. I am sorry that they have lost interest in their studies. It’s reported some students have learnt bad things from the Internet and even some students have been treated on line . How terrible!

So maybe we can say whether computer is good or not depends on ourselves. So when we search the Internet we should make good and careful choices, of course, we should use it at a proper time ! Do you agree with me?
