遥感的概念及其发展历史
技术以及电子计算机技术的发展相联系，与军事侦察、环境监测、资源开发利用
和全球变化的需要相适应的。
20世纪50年代以来，随着科学技术的发展。在普通照相机和飞机的基础
上，一些新的信息探测系统相继出现。人类观测电磁辐射的能力从可见光扩展到
美国密执安大学召开的<国际环境科学遥感讨论会)上，这一名词被正式通过，
从此就标志着遥感这门新学科的形成。
但是，在遥感一词出现以前，就已产生了遥感技术。发展至今，大体经历了
三个阶段．常规航空摄影阶段、航空遥感阶段和航天遥感阶段。

遥感的概念
遥感的英文是“remote sensing”，意即“遥远的感知”，在日本叫“远隔探
知”或“远隔探查”。其科学含义一般理解为：在遥远的地方，感测目标物的
“信息”，通过对信息的分析研究，确定目标物的属性及目标物之间的关系。也就
是说：不与目标物接触，凭借其发出的某些信息识别目标。所以有人将遥感技术
作为一种侦察技术。
根据遥感的这一概念，人和动物都具有一定的遥感本领。例如，人的眼睛识
别物体的过程就是一种遥感过程，它是靠物体的色调、亮度，以及物体的形状、
大小等信息，来判定物体的属性。蝙蝠能发射超声波，并用接收到的回波来判断
障碍物的距离、方位和属性。现代遥感技术就是模仿自然界中的遥感现象和过程
而产生的。
目前，对遥感比较一致的定义是：在远离被测物体或现象的位置上，使用一
定的仪器设备，接收、记录物体或现象反射或发射的电磁波信息，经过对信息的
遥感
1、遥感(Remote Sensing)，从广义上说是泛指从远处探测、感知物体或事物的技术。
即不直接接触物体本身，从远处通过仪器(传感器)探测和接收来自目标物体的信息(如电场、磁场、电磁波、地震波等信息)，经过信息的传输及其处理分析，识别物体的属性及其分布等特征的技术。
2、电磁波谱(Elect ramagitic spectrum)：将电磁波按照波长的长短排列制成图表3、太阳常数：当地球处于日地平均距离时，单位时间内投射到位于地球大气上界，且垂直于太阳光射线的单位面积上的太阳辐射能为1385士7w/m’。
此数值称为太阳常数。
4、地物光谱特性:自然界中，不同的地物具有的不同的对电磁波不同波段范围的辐射规律(反射、发射、吸收、透射)，称地物的该特性为其光谱特性。
5、地物反射光谱与地物反射光谱曲线：地物的反射率随人射波长变化的规律，叫做地物反射光谱。
按地物反射率与波长之间关系绘成的曲线(根坐标为波长值，纵坐标为反射率)称为地物反射光谱曲线6、黑体；所谓黑体是“绝对黑体”的简称，指在任何温度下，对于各种波长的电磁辐射的吸收系数恒等于l(100％)的物体。
7、基尔霍夫定律c在任一给定温度下，地物的辐射通量密度和吸收率之比，对任何地物都是一个常数，并且等于该温度下黑体辐射通量密度。

8、大气窗口：大气层的反射，吸收和散射作用，削弱了大气层对电磁辐射的透明度。

11、反差contrast：感光材料的乳剂层上使影象表达出所摄物体各部分在光量方面有差别的能力，称为反差。
根据感光材料的反差大小可将感光材料分为软性片、中性片、硬性片12、乳剂分辨率：感光材料区分景物细微部分的能力，通常以lmm宽度内能够清楚分辨出的平行线对数表示13、像对stereopair：从不同的角度对同一个地物所拍摄的两张相片14、航向重叠(longitudinal overlap)：为了使同一条航线上相邻相片的地物能相互衔接以及满足立体观察的需要，相邻相片间需要有一定的重叠，称为航向重叠。
