英语读后感作文:《巴黎圣母院》英语读后感

英语读后感作文:《巴黎圣母院》英语读后感The Hunchback of Notre-Dame, also known as Notre-Dame de Paris, written by Victor Hugo, is a French novel that tells the story of Quasimodo, a hunchback who falls in love with a gypsy girl named Esmeralda. This novel is set in 1482 and is one of Hugo's most famous works. As someone who grew up reading Victor Hugo, I had always wanted to read The Hunchback of Notre-Dame, and finally, I got the chance. After completing the novel, I was left with an array of emotions – I felt overwhelmed, sad, and inspired all at the same time. The main reason why I loved the book so much is because of theintricate details that Hugo used to describe the setting and characters. The city of Paris was vividly described, and I felt like I was transported back in time to 1482 when the story was set.Hugo's choice of words and his use of vivid descriptions made the characters come alive in my mind. The protagonist, Quasimodo, was first introduced as an ugly hunchback who was ridiculed by many people. However, as the story progressed, I started to understand that Quasimodo was a kind-hearted and compassionate person who simply wanted to be loved for who he was. Hugo painted a picture of a society that was quick to judge people based on their physical appearance, instead of looking at their inner qualities. The character of Esmeralda was also beautifully portrayed in the novel. She was a strong, independent woman who stood up for her beliefs, and was not afraid to face the consequences of her actions. Esmeralda rose above the stereotypes that society had placed on gypsies, and she fought for her people's rights till the very end.Apart from the characters, the plot of the novel was another aspect that I loved. The story had a twist at every turn, and I was constantly on the edge of my seat, wondering what would happennext. Hugo weaved together different storylines to create a complex tale that was both entertaining and thought-provoking.Finally, one of the main themes of the novel was the power of love, and how it can overcome all obstacles. Quasimodo's love for Esmeralda was not reciprocated, but he continued to love her from afar, even when she was sentenced to death. This aspect of the novel showed me that love is not just about receiving, but also about giving selflessly. In conclusion, The Hunchback of Notre-Dame is a beautifully written novel that explores complex themes such as societal stereotypes, love, and loyalty. Victor Hugo's use of vivid descriptions and intricate storytelling made the characters and setting come alive in my mind, and I felt like I was transported back in time to 1482 Paris. This novel has left a lasting impact on me, and I would highly recommend it to anyone who loves a good story.。

bookreportonNotreDamedeParis巴黎圣母院英文读后感

bookreportonNotreDamedeParis巴黎圣母院英文读后感第一篇:book report on Notre Dame de Paris 巴黎圣母院英文读后感READING AND WRITING 2 HARRIS BOOK REPORT 3 15, MAY. 2013INSIDEJust as the author, Victor Hugo, a great writer who underwent almost all the major incidents of nineteen century in France, predicted, Notre Dame de Paris was perfectly knit together by realism and romanticism. And this grand building tolerated all of this, no matter the beauty or the evil, standing by the Seine quietly over the six hundred years, and shared the timeless story with us. Actually the criterion to judging what exactly beauty is and what exactly evil is has already lied in the bottom of readers …hearts. The strong contrast between beauty and evil impressed me most in this book. Mr.Hugo almost searched his whole mind for all negative words to describe Quasimodo, a bellman with a geometry of the face, a tetrahedral nose, and jagged teeth, who also broke through himself and finally killed his adoptive father, Floro, by pushing him down from the roof of Notre Dame de Paris. While, Mr.Hugo also gave birth to another totally different character, Floro, as I mentioned above, who was the representative of religious evil forces and a victim of religious asceticism. He never gave up any chance to meet his requirements, but the asceticism twisted his soul so much that he could not feel any happiness in his entire life. And there was a character we could not miss, Esmeralda, who was a beautiful and kind-hearted gypsy girl, by which the witter expressed his pursuitof true and charges against evil forces of the church. She died in the scaffold with a loud laugh, but also she became an immortal emblem of beauty and kindness, which would never fade out, even after thousands of years. Mr.Hugo was dedicated to portray the whole picture in his mind with this book, but, thanks to him, we still got the great opportunities to review our judgment deeply.Since the flooding of freedom of thought approached, people living in twenty-first century almost spare every effort to pursuing their ideal beauty, which sometimes drives them to lose their balance of what matters most in essence, the interior or the exterior. As we all know, a Chinese movie actress, L, spent more than one million dollars on her wedding ceremony, while which was exactly Bill Gates, the richest man in the world, once spent on a charity party, aiming to build clinics in the south of Africa to help the natives to live a better life. I am not sure whether she will be happier if she spend the money in helping the children who may be suffering from Malaria or other epidemics in Africa. But what is worse, it was not just an individual case but a fashion trend of people living in modern society to buy beauty and to cover the darkness in their hearts with it. According to a survey done by China Daily, since the Reform and Open policy was put into practice, people have spent more and more money in purchasing all sorts of commodities expect for books. They care so mush about their appearances, their figures, and the labels on their garment that they have to kill their time and money on their internal which should be spent as mush as, even more than it on external. But unfortunately, the reality is that one can never stay pretty as much as she is twenty years old. No matter how beautiful she is, she has to grow old and lose her flawless skinand black hair. What can exist for her entire life and really matter is a kind and warm heart, which will never fade out and be admired by aftertime.Mr.Hugo once said, “Life is a flower; love is nectar.” It is not whether the flower is beautiful but whether it can produce nectar that really matters. In much the same way of our life, it is our hearts instead of our appearances that matter. The ability to love, to cherish, and to share is the most important thing that should be valued in our society. And if we do value these in our daily life, we will be valued. Imagine that we are facing a group of children with some rags on, who are suffering from the cold winter, but still working very hard in a small and dark class room; imagine that some businessmen grow vegetables and trade them for surger to put it into their tea for their guests to make them proud or for a lock to the door to make them feel safe when down. It is hard to believe that we will feel nothing about this. The poor has the same right to pursue happiness because everybody is gave birth to the world with the bless of God. And they work so hard to make their life easier and happier. So try to feel and try to share. Sometimes only when participating in their life, we can figure out what we really care about and decide what we want to be. No matter who we are, the poor or the rich, we should get involved. The ability to love is always there, waiting for us to get it. It is never too late to get repacked and start our journey.Actually it is easy to tell what beauty is because the criterion lies in people …s hearts. Everyone is just like a piece of whi te paper at the beginning of his life, and then he draw many different pictures with all kinds of colors or sometimes be painted by their parents, friends and even strangers. But finally what he need to do is erase all of these and review himself as a human being. Ourminds have led us to go so far in the way to future. And we need to go on.第二篇:巴黎圣母院英文读后感About the Notre Dame cathedral 《 Notre Dame cathedral》is one known far and wide romantic faction strength which Victor Hugo writes . I read this great book these days. In this story, I saw not only friendly relationships and beautiful character, but also the flow selfish desire. Perhaps is sinister Coloud, he is appears by the theocracy face, all load bearing one kind of author’s ponder. In this story,I like Cacimodo best. Whatever the book described him ugly,it can’t stop my love of t his role. It seems that if someone is a little good to him, he will return you more and more and take you as his god. However, people is so mean to such a little bit. So we are also very easy to understand why Asmelada just gave him some water, he can move to tears. I think he told me the meaning of true. He can bury his own deep love of Asmelada, he knew that he was not good with her, he just hoped he could have quietly by her side to protect her . He could do everything for her. In order to not let Asmela da sad , he didn’t told her that Phoebus has already married though she maybe blame him. In order to her, he try his best to stop beggars broke into Notre Dame. He is a real man!The book touched me the most is that the nun protect Asmelada in the room. She is a wonderful mother because she protected her daughter in the last minute. In that time, she forgot other identities, only remember that she is just a mother. By reading this book, I thought my life carefully. A person'sappearance does not mean anything, the key is what he has and wheather he has a good soul.第三篇:巴黎圣母院英文读后感Notre Dame CathedralNotre Dame Cathedral is a world famous masterpiece. In my eyes, the high reputation of it probably because the protagonist, Quasimodo. A badly ugly bell-ringer, growing up in a church, following Dom Claude Rollo the Archdeacon completely submit the Archdeacon. At the beginning, I thought Quasimodo didn’t have the sense of right and wrong. There was a period of time when my aversion to Quasimodo was increasing rapidly. However, I gradually find that he is so much innocent and pure. At the last part of the opus, Quasimodo unexpectedly found that the Archdeacon he following also fall into deep love with the gipsy-girl. To avoid others getting the girl, the Archdeacon attempted to kill the knight but didn’t succeed. The Archdeacon thought it should be destroyed if he can’t own himself. Finally, the Archdeacon cruelly killed the charming girl. Meanwhile, Quasimodo pushed the Archdeacon into abyss. What moved me most is the last few of paragraphs. When people found the corpse of the girl, they discovered another one, a malformed man corpse. He held the girl so tightly that he turned into powder when they were separated.A incarnation of justice, Rollo Archdeacon is actually the evil backstage manipulator. A beautiful but humble girl, La Esmeralda is actually so brave to love , to hate. An ugly monster, Quasimodo, changed from submitting to independently judge right or wrong. All he ever loved are died. His heart is so fervent that he is wiling to company with the girl’s corpse even if reduced to ashes. As the saying goes that ,don’t judge a person from his appearance. Good and evil can never be distinguished by one’s surface. When confronted with the seamy side of pretty things, everyone’s heart would be struck. However, sometimes these things truly happen in our daily life. Life isn’t so bad as we thought and it also isn’t so good as we thought. Face the imperfect society and be true to yourself. These are my personal notions. Thanks for your review.第四篇:巴黎圣母院英文读后感About the Notre Dame cathedral《Notre Dame cathedral》is one known far and wide romantic faction strength which Victor Hugo writes . 巴黎圣母院英文读后感100字

巴黎圣母院英文读后感100字

巴黎圣母院英文读后感100字Here is a 642-word English essay on the topic "Reflections on Notre-Dame Cathedral in Paris":Notre-Dame Cathedral in Paris is a masterpiece of Gothic architecture that has stood as a testament to human ingenuity and faith for centuries. As I walked through its grand entrance and gazed upon the imposing stone façade adorned with intricate carvings and towering spires my heart was filled with a sense of awe and reverence. The cathedral's sheer scale and grandeur is truly breathtaking leaving a lasting impression on all who step inside its hallowed halls. What struck me most however was not just the architectural splendor of Notre-Dame but the profound spiritual resonance it elicits. The moment I crossed the threshold I was enveloped in an atmosphere of quiet contemplation and serenity. The soft light filtering through the stained glass windows cast a warm glow over the cavernous interior creating a truly sacred ambiance. I found myself drawn to the ornate altars and statues that line the walls each one a masterpiece in its own right radiating an almost palpable sense of the divine. As I slowly made my way through the cathedral taking in its every detail I couldn't help but reflect on the generations of worshippers who had walked these same floors their footsteps echoing through the centuries. The knowledge that this place had borne witness to countless acts of faith prayer and reverence made it feel all the more special and meaningful. I imagined the joy and sorrow the cathedral had seen the historical events it had weathered and the role it had played in the life of the city and its people. It was humbling to think that I was now part of that timeless legacy standing in the same space as kings and saints poets and pilgrims. What truly moved me however was the cathedral's enduring resilience in the face of adversity. The devastating fire that ravaged Notre-Dame in 2019 was a tragic event that shook the world but the fact that it still stands tall today is a testament to the human spirit and the indomitable power of faith. As I gazed up at the partially destroyed roof and the collapsed spire I was struck by a profound sense of hope. This ancient monument had survived wars conquests and natural disasters for over 800 years and I had no doubt that it would rise from the ashes once more.In that moment I was reminded that Notre-Dame is not just a building but a living embodiment of the human capacity for creativity and perseverance. It is a symbol of our ability to createthings of great beauty and meaning that transcend the limits of time and space. Even as I left the cathedral and stepped back into the bustling streets of Paris I carried a piece of that sacred space within me a reminder of the enduring power of faith hope and the human spirit.。

《巴黎圣母院》英语读后感(锦集17篇)篇1:《巴黎圣母院》英语读后感《巴黎圣母院》英语读后感《 Notre Dame cathedral》 is one known far and wide romantic faction strength which Victor Hugo writes . I take advantage of this summer vacation free time, read this great work.Notre Dame cathedral's story, actually was one at that time social epic poem, since brimmed with really. Friendly. Beautiful, also the flow selfish desire and is false. Regardless of is good beautiful Asmelada ,or has the ugly semblance, Cacimodo with one pure mind, they represent the great amount the lower level populace which suppresses; Perhaps is sinister Coloud, he is appears by the theocracy face, all load bearing one kind of author's ponder. The author in this work, for with the clown, was beautifully friendly and wickedly does the best annotation, or take above three people as the example, the rebel Asmelada has the beautiful semblance and the chaste good mind, as well as pitiful destiny, but Cacimodo, he withstood destiny deceive nicely, the innermost feelings is his misery is graver, but Coloud maintained the benighted social rights and interests, he had brutally. Void mind and evil passion. Good person physique hateful, but the evil person actually says the appearance shore however, bright set off, social unfair manifest. But the article result also is when the opposition society until criticism: All beautiful is good all swallows by the might and the evil, the lower level people's weak strength in under the king power rule, in the benighted society, only can be reduced to ashes. Was palatial Notre Dame cathedral, how many world tragedy testimony once, in Hugo the novel, he as if had the life breath, hesheltered Asmelada ,exposed Coloud the crime, regret the populace attack the magnificent feat which dark actually heroically devoted……Another the question which is worth pondering is: Who is the hero? Asmelada or Cacimodo? I think all is not, but is in thearticle by the Louis 11 rank smell of blood suppression rather for sacreficed the populace gate, Asmelada with Cacimodo is not in them the representative, Asmelada is loves with the beautiful symbol,Cacimodo not many represents is unfortunate and the pain. But they, all suffer a tragic middle ages ignorant evil forces devastate, one each one painful soul is bleeding, flows the tear. Merely is Notre Dame cathe dral's above engraves “ the destiny ”? They are in middle ages France, despotism sacrificial victim. The entire story rich tragic color, the plot intense is moving, exciting. Author Hugo through “ Notre Dame cathedral ” this story, but also disclosed at that time the dark society's essence to the people. This fascinating story likes that Ccimodo clocks sound equally shocks several generation of readers' minds.篇2:巴黎圣母院英语读后感Notre Dame DE Paris, tells the story of goodness, beauty ladafell in love with the beautiful love, handsome in appearance and inner ugly than, but I did not choose appearance ugly and inner good card seamus. If all the girls in their choice of the two boys, Ithink most of the girls would choose handsome than he. Although many say themselves in choosing a partner will pay more attention to inner beauty, beauty is not important. But I personally think this is wrong, why do you say so?Because in real life, many people believe and desire for thatkind of love at first sight of romantic love. If you don't have a beautiful appearance, only a good heart, how can someone to notice you. The love of beauty and the pursuit of beauty is human nature, so the pursuit of a handsome boy and beauty should not be to blame. His heart as long as they are willing to pay, deeply in love with each other, it is also called love, but I think, now that it is love, should be the correct view each other's faults, inclusive eachother's shortcomings. After all gold no pure gold, no one is perfect. Also, in real life there are a lot of people want to love America lada as persistent once fell in love with a person will persist, no matter this kind of love have the result. In fact, sometimes, perseverance is not a good thing, when you find the other sidealready did not love you, maybe give up is also a kind of beauty, it also give yourself a chance to pursue the real belong to your own happiness, if too persistent, in the end you might lose his at the same time, also pushed himself as the interests of an endless abyssof pain.

The novel, Notre-Dame de Paris, by Victor Hugo, was a breathtaking read. It enthralled me from start to finish and I found it difficult to put down. The story is about Quasimodo, the bellringer at the cathedral of Notre Dame, who falls in love with a beautiful gypsy girl named Esmeralda. While the lighthearted parts of the story are filled with joyous laughter and romance, it is the darker aspects of the novel that truly captivate the reader. The author examines themes such as racial prejudice, class separation, and love, while addressing such difficult topics as child abuse and rape. The main characters of the novel also have very distinct personalities that add to the overall story. Quasimodo is kind-hearted and loyal but also fearful, while Esmeralda is passionate and strong-willed despite her poverty. The villains of the story, Frollo and Claude, are both despicable characters who exhibit their cruelty through their actions. The novel is set in 15th century France and the setting is vivid and detailed. Hugo uses descriptive language and imagery to bring the reader into the world of Notre Dame and the characters within it. The historical context of the novel also adds to its beauty, as the themes and struggles of the time period seem to be mirrored within the story.Overall, I found Notre-Dame de Paris to be a captivating read with an enchanting story, characters, and setting. Its depth and detail make it an enjoyable read for any fan of historical fiction or fantasy. Hugo does an amazing job of creating a vivid picture ofthe period and brings his characters to life in a way that makes them feel real. I definitely recommend this book to anyone looking for a novel with substance and heart.。

《巴黎圣母院》的读后感英文

《巴黎圣母院》的读后感英文After reading "The Hunchback of Notre-Dame" by Victor Hugo, I was left with a deep appreciation for the beauty and history of the Notre-Dame cathedral. Throughout the novel, Hugo expertly weaves together a complex web of characters, conflicts, and themes that all center around the magnificent structure. One of the most striking aspects of the novel for me was the incredible attention to detail that Hugo paid to the physical attributes of the Notre-Dame cathedral. From the intricate carvings on the walls and columns to the soaring heights of the iconic bell towers, Hugo's descriptions brought the structure to life in a way that made me feel as though I was actually standing inside the cathedral myself. At the heart of the novel is the tragic story of Quasimodo, the hunchbacked bell-ringer who calls the faithful to prayer from the towers of Notre-Dame. Despite his grotesque appearance and the mistreatment he receives at the hands of the Parisian crowds, Quasimodo maintains a deep love and devotion for the cathedral that he calls home. His character is a powerful reminder of the enduring power and importance of faith, and his struggles serve as a poignant commentary on the cruelty of human societies. Another theme that resonated with me is the way in which Hugo uses the cathedral as a symbol of Parisian history and culture. Throughout the novel, he emphasizes the deep connection between the people of Paris and their cathedral, as well as the way in which the structure has been shaped by the various historical and cultural forces that have shaped the city over the centuries. For me, thisserved as a reminder of the importance of preserving historical landmarks and cultural artifacts as a means of maintaining our connection to the past and understanding our place in the world.Overall, "The Hunchback of Notre-Dame" is a beautiful and masterful novel that does justice to the magnificence of the Notre-Dame cathedral. Through Hugo's vivid descriptions and complex storytelling, readers are able to gain a deeper appreciation for the beauty and history of this iconic structure. I highly recommend this book to anyone who is interested in history, art, or literature, as I believe it has something to offer to all of us.In addition to its physical beauty, the Notre-Dame cathedral has been and continues to be an important focal point of French culture and identity. The cathedral has survived centuries of war, revolution, and natural disasters, and has remained a source of inspiration and pride for the French people. The fire that devastated the cathedral in 2019 was a devastating blow to the people of Paris and to anyone who understands the importance of cultural heritage. The world watched in horror as the spire collapsed and flames engulfed the iconic structure. However, the fire also galvanized a global effort to restore the cathedral and preserve its legacy for future generations. The restoration effort has been monumental in scale, involving experts from around the world and drawing on centuries-old techniques and materials. The process has also sparked debates about the appropriate way to restore and preserve historical landmarks, and has highlighted the importance of investing in cultural heritage. The Notre-Dame cathedral serves as a symbol not only of French culture, but also of the wider human experience. It reminds us of the power of beauty and the resilience of the human spirit, even in the face of tragedy and devastation. It calls on us to honor our past while looking towards the future, and to protect and preserve the cultural heritage that connects us to one another and to our history. In conclusion, Victor Hugo's "The Hunchback of Notre-Dame" is an enduring tribute to the beauty and cultural importance of the Notre-Dame cathedral. The novel serves as a powerful reminder of the enduring power of faith, the cruelty of human societies, and the importance of preserving cultural heritage. The fire that devastated the cathedral in 2019 was a tragic reminder of the fragility of our history, but it also sparked a renewed effort to restore and preserve this iconic structure for generations to come.。
