How could she laugh so loudly when she knew my mistake and made me embarrassed, but then comforted me in turn. Finally, we ignored this and kept visiting other places.After talking awhile, we decided to drink some milk tea. Another difference happened. I said that it‟s on me because I think I should be the host and it‟s reasonable for me to pay for the milk tea to show my kindness. But it seemed that Tania couldn't understand what I was going to do. She persisted in going Dutch. After an insistence, I finally agree with her idea. But I was confused again. Why did she refuse my kindness? Didn‟t she regard m e as one of her friends?It is a long time after our first meeting. Obviously, my first intercultural communication is not very successful. Although those are two small deferences, it reflects our cultural difference.Fortunately, Tania and I are still frie nds after that. I also gradually understand her action in that day which I didn‟t understand. When we communicate with foreigners, we often find that there are many differences between our cultures. It is because that different countries and nations have formed a specific cultural background due to thedifferent historical origins and social customs. The specific cultural background forme d different values, ways of thinking, social norms and pragmatic rules. That may why we have distinct ways of thinking, talking and behaving.All in all, it is important for us to learn intercultural communication well. What we should do is to understand the differences, learn the differences and finish a intercultural communication successfully.。

What I learn from it
Language is one of the most important way to have intercultural communication, because we are from different culture, and if we can't understand each other's meaning, then we can't communicate smoothly. So, I think I should try my best to improve my oral English and listening skill in the future.
What I learn from it
During this interview I found my listening skill need to be improve, because I just can catch few words many times when those foreigner were speaking so that I can't respond to them. Their speed are too fast for me to catch on. I also found I even don't know many words they said, sometimes they don't use the word which we used. I think I should pay more attention to those words in the future.
