本课主要是在学生已有的基础上进一步落实、巩固Do you want to ...? 这一句式的问答。
课堂上要创设语境，设计一些任务型的活动提高他们的学习兴趣，同时培养学生的语言运用能力。

b. 教授新单词1.大屏幕出示这句话The UN wants to make peace in the world.教peace的发音，ea 发[i:] 的音，c发[s] 的音，让学生读(指读，小组读，男女读).问学生还有哪个单词中ea发[i:] 的音。
再教world的发音，or发[ ]的音，注意区分world和word发音的不同，让学生读.问学生还有哪个单词中or发[ ]的音。
（六年级的学生应该掌握一定的音标知识，知道常见的字母组合的发音，并能归类记忆，联系记忆，所以在教学单词时可以这样处理）2.讲解make peace 和in the world两个词组。
在句中体会其意思，教师通过图片和肢体语言帮助学生理解。
开火车读两个词组。
c. 找出want to句式的规律1.大屏幕出示这3句含有want to的句子，观察这三句话有什么共同之处。
会有学生发现want to 后面接动词原型，这时课件闪烁visit, make, go三个动词，教师总结：want to 后面要接动词原型，如want to play, want to eat.让学生说几个想做什么事的词组。
2．教师再问：发现want to有什么变化吗？学生会找到The UN wants to make peace in the world.中want加了s。
请学生思考为什么。
帮助学生总结，主语是第三人称单数形式时，用一般现在时表述想做什么事，动词也要变成第三人称单数形式。
如Amy wants to go to Beijing.让学生尝试说两句。
（这一环节教师引导学生发现规律，帮助学生总结规律，对于六年级学生来说是必要的。
他们已经接触了大量感性的句子，可以从中发现规律性的东西。
