二、教材分析教材难易度合理，过渡平和，主要采用的是全身反应(TotalPhysicalResponse)教学法，让学生在不同的学习活动中感知并运用英语。
本教材按照每单元三课时编排，每单元包含九个部分：第一部分是全单元的的主要句型、单词等语言材料及其功能的集中展示;第二部分是主要句型和单词的重点板块;第三和第四部分是巩固知识的活动板块;第五部分是阅读，是对前面的拓展;第六部分是学生间合作活动，大多是两人组活动，以便学生应用语言;第七部分是读写部分;第八部分是拼读部分;第九部分是娱乐部分。

教学过程 Step 1 Warming up 1.师生互致问候。 2.复习上一节课学习过的韵律诗：Does He Often Eercise？ 3.揭示并板书课题Unit 2 Physical Eercises Part B。 Step 2 Review 1.对正在进行的活动内容进行描述。 教师出示图片，并提出问题：What is…doing?或What are…doing?学生看图回答问题。 2.复习方位词between的用法。 （1）出示课本第12页的第一幅图，引出Grandma is sitting between Ben and Sally.对这个句子进行教学。 （2）就班上学生座位情况练习这个句型，如： B is sitting between A and C. G is sitting between F and H.… （3）出示课本第12页的第二幅图，请学生尝试看图说句子。当学生都会说后，请几位学生到台前，有的学生并列站立，有的学生前后站立，然后请台下的学生根据台上的同学的位置自由说句子，如： A is standing behind B. A is standing between C and D. A is standing beside C.…

（二）阅读课文，学习新内容。 1.教师播放课文录音，学生边听边看书，录音结束后，给学生几分钟的时间完成下列表格，整理出每个人物的活动内容，然后进行新单词和新句型的教学。 Who/What/Boys/are playing basetball. Wang Tao is passing the ball to Peter. Some pupils are watching. Some girls are cheering for their class team.
2.学习单词pass 和ball。 （1）教师出示单词卡片pass,教授该单词。 （2）教师用Pass me the boo.Pass me the pen.等句子发指令，学生将相应的物品传递到教师的手中，也可以请个别学生发指令。 （3）教师出示单词卡片basetball和football，请学生说出ball的发音。 （4）教师出示单词卡片ball，请学生回忆一下，哪些单词的音和形与ball相似，引出wall，tall和call的学习。 （5）教师出示图片，学习句子Wang Tao is passing the ball.
3.学习单词catch和cry。 （1）教师出示一个篮球，并说：A，catch the ball.并将球传给学生A。学生A接住球后，教师说：A，please cry and pass the ball.引导学生A喊另一学生的名字，并将球传给他。 （2）教师出示单词卡片watch和catch，通过对比，学习单词catch。 （3）教师再出示单词卡片cry，并教学，用we cry，they cry，he cries，Julia cries等方式进行巩固操练。 （4）游戏——传球。 游戏规则：全班学生对着手拿篮球的同学喊：“A，pass the ball.A，pass the ball.”该生选定一位同学后说：“B，catch!”学生B如果接住了球，游戏继续，如果没接住，游戏结束。
4.学习单词cheer，their和team。 （1）教师出示单词卡片cheese，chess和cheer，进行比较学习。 （2）教师出示单词卡片there和their，告诉学生这两个单词发音相同。再出示单词my，your，his，her，our和their，复习巩固这几个物主代词的音、义及它们的用法。 （3）教师出示单词卡片tea和team，帮助学生学习team的发音，并指着课文挂图说：a blue team，a yellow team.Wang Tao and Peter are in the yellow team.
5.再出示前面的两张表格，请学生根据表格复述课文内容。 6.教师播放课文录音，学生模仿跟读，注意学生的语调及意群的读音。 7.出示句子：The game is between Class One and Class Two.和Peter and Wang Tao are players of Class One.请个别学生范读，了解学生对这两个句子的掌握情况。
（三）巩固活动。 1.完成课本第12页的Loo and say.部分。 （1）教师播放课文录音，学生模仿跟读。 （2）请个别学生范读。 （3）教师出示第一幅图，引导学生说出Sally和Ben的位置，如：Sally is sitting beside her grandma.Ben is sitting beside his grandma. （4）教师出示第二幅图，引导学生说出Lily和Julia的位置，如：Lily is standing beside Sally.Julia is standing beside Sally.
2.完成课本第14页的Listen and tic.部分。 （1）教师播放录音，学生独立完成练习。 （2）教师再次播放录音，与学生一起核对答案。 听力材料： A：Does Peter often eercise? B：Yes，he does.He goes running every morning.
