It was one of the hottest days of the dry season. We had not seen rain in almost a month. The crops were dying. Cows had stopped giving milk. The streams were long gone back into the earth. If we didn't see some rain soon we would lose everything.

I was in the kitchen making lunch for my husband and his brothers when I saw my six-year old son, Billy, walking toward the woods. He was obviously walking with a great effort... trying to be as still as possible. Minutes after he disappeared into the woods, he came running out again, toward the house.

Moments later, however, he was once again walking in that slow purposeful long step toward the woods. This activity went on for over an hour: walking cautiously to the woods, then running back to the house. Finally, my curiosity got the best of me. I crept out of the house and followed him on his journey.

He was cupping both hands in front of him as he walked; being very careful not to spill(洒出) the water he held in them. Branches and thorns slapped his little face but he did not try to avoid them. He had a much greater purpose. As I leaned in to spy on him, I saw the most amazing site.

Several large deer appeared threatening in front of him. But Billy walked right up to them. I almost screamed for him to get away. And I saw a baby deer lying on the ground, obviously suffering from heavy loss of water and heat exhaustion, lift its head with great effort to lap up the water cupped in my beautiful boy's hand.

I stood on the edge of the woods watching the most beautiful heart I have ever known working so hard to save a life. As the tears that rolled down my face began to hit the ground, they were suddenly joined by other drops... and more drops... and more.

I looked up at the sky. It was as if God, Himself, was weeping with pride.

It’s nothing new that you can find many files or services you can download or use from the Internet. The question is : Is downloading legal or not? In most cases the answer is negative, because sharing and downloading are illegal. Of course, you can find files for legal downloading, but you have to pay for them. Finally I would like to say that the Internet offers a lot of services for money, but people will always try to get them for free. To summarize my thought s I’d like to highlight that illegal downloading is both unfair towards producers and dangerous for those who practise this kind of activity. You have to decide whether to buy or download.

How Can I Fight Laziness?

Lazy people will never gain anything in life. However, laziness can be defeated once a few changes have been made in your mind.

36 Many people lack sleep constantly, since they stay up too late and get up too early to prepare for work. These people have little motivation once they arrive home. Laziness works hand in hand with a lack of motivation and a tendency to put off things. By adjusting your sleep schedule to provide a few more hours of meaningful rest, you can fight laziness throughout the day.

Some people fight laziness by removing the temptations (诱惑) that surround them. A television in the living room may provide entertainment, but watching too much TV often contributes to laziness. 38 Complete a few tasks and reward yourself with what you enjoy, such as a good dinner or a film. Laziness can also be a lasting problem at home. Couples and children may all have different energy levels, but laziness can be spread if not dealt with immediately. 39 Be the first to collect and wash dishes after a meal. Others in the home may eventually follow your example and perform their own task. It is difficult to practice laziness when you are surrounded by motivated (积极的) people.

40 Enough exercise and a balanced diet can help you to develop a healthy lifestyle, thus enabling you to have more energy and help lift your spirits.

A. Knowing how to fight laziness is important

B. To fight family laziness, set an example.

C. Finally, taking exercise regularly can help you fight laziness.

D. One way to fight laziness is to get enough sleep.

E. Create a reward system for yourself, just as parents do for a child.

F. Laziness appears when you no longer feel in charge of your own mind.

G. With strong determination, you will be able to achieve your

goal.

Dear Nancy,

I am writing to share you my dream.

Being a motivation and goal, dreams make us determined,

diligent and devoted as well as making life more meaningful.

However, it is quite plain that obstacles cast a fierce eye on

me alongside. Therefore, giving full play to strengths and

minimizing weaknesses in current preparation for the entrance

exam is my first challenge I am to face consciously. Also, I am

fully convinced that sparing no efforts to offer toil and sweat

firmly and consistently will contributes a lot.

I am in curiosity about yours and reply to me soon, please.

Yours sincerely,
