在考研英语的part a 小作文部分，书信作为考查的重点所在，种类繁多。在前面我们

曾就以题目为例，详细地解析过前五种书信：即建议信、投诉信、咨询信、感谢信和祝贺信

的写作方法及其注意事项。今天中公考研英语教研组的张玉环老师就对考研英语小作文中的

第六类书信——道歉信——进行深入的分析。

道歉信，英文中称为 letter of apology，是由于某事向某人表示歉意的信件，通常是

由于自己的过错或不能履行承诺等而做出的道歉。写作时，一定要态度诚恳，提供合理的理

由，并需在解释完原因后，尽可能提供一个合适的补救办法。道歉信曾在2008年英语(一)

的小作文中考查过。作为英文应用书信的一种，道歉信非常符合考研英语的考查要求，既可

考查考生的英语书面表达能力，尤其是应用文的英语表达能力，又可考查到考生对内容要点

的归纳、概括、表述能力。

一般来说，在考研英语中，道歉信主体部分的写作可按照三个步骤进行，即“三步走”

策略。接下来就以题目为例，具体解析一下这个策略。

例题：

you should write about 100 words on answer sheet 2. do not sign your own name at the end of the letter. use “li ming” instead. do not write the address.

段：i am writing to express my apology to you for my failing to return your music

在“三步走”策略中，第一步就是要表明写信目的并且简述事由。正如上面的首段，只

有一句话，首先非常清晰明了地说明写信目的。既然这是一封道歉信，那么写信的目的自然

就是向收信人表示道歉，而这也正是题目所给出的写作要求之一。此外，在这句话中，表明

写信目的之后还简要陈述了道歉的事由，使书信的交流功能更加准确和有效，这也是写信的

常识问题。对于以上两点内容，简单来说，可用一句话表达，即i am writing this letter

to express my apology to you for my failing to??

在道歉信中，本段的主要内容就是首先就上面所道歉之事进行详细的陈述，包括事情是

如何发生的以及自己为什么会犯这个错误而给对方造成不便。告知对方原因之后，接下来要

做的事情就是为自己犯下的错误买单，也就是要为自己给对方造成的不便或损失进行补偿、

提出解决方案。做补偿时务必要记住的是态度一定要诚恳、真挚，所以补偿方案需要实虚结合：既要有具体的、实实在在的解决方法，还要为可能造成的损失做出将会弥补的承诺，

以在最大限度上获得对方的原谅。

尾段：once again, i feel so sorry for any inconvenience caused. please accept

my apologies. 本段中第一句话通过once again+i feel so sorry forany inconvenience

caused的句型，再次表达了自己对收信人的道歉之意。之后，第二句话用一句非常简单的

please accept my apologies表达了自己的期待，期待收信人接受道歉，进而原谅自己。

在考研英语的书信表达中，类似的首段或尾段的套用句式比较丰富，大家需要在复习过

程中进行有意的积累，并在写作中加以运用：

考研英语中大作文的要求是内容切题、表达清楚、文字连贯、句式多变和语言规范。小

作文考察点在信息点的覆盖、语言的准确性、文章组织的连贯性上。
