I am writing in the hope that I may obtain an opportunity to further my study in MIT Department of Chemistry. My name is Miao Pu, a graduate from Sixian No.1 senior high school which is not too famous, but I'm hardworking and creative, especially in Chemistry.
W hen I was a child, I would like to play the paint but my hands always be dirty. I was upset about that it couldn't be washed with water, vinegar, salt and so on, but suddenly I found a magic liquid, kerosene, can wash it out easily. At that time, I understood the principle of similar phase solution and had a strong interest in chemistry. Since entering high school, I have never relaxed myself, and my grades have always been among the best. Not surprisingly, I was selected by the elite class of my school. In the year of elite class, I came into contact with many excellent teachers and classmates. It provided an
excellent foundation, which helped me got good results in the national chemical com petition. In the course of learning competition knowledge, I gradually transferred from the basic course to the professional course, which deepened my understanding of chemistry. Interest is the best teacher, so I chose chemistry without hesitation when I selected college.
MIT is considered to be one of the world's best university of science and technology. After doing many research I have known that MIT also designed a research project (UROP) for undergraduate students as part of the course. In this plan, I can do my own research project while assisting my tutor. This will provide an opportunity for me to further understand the workflow of the chemical laboratory.
I n the days of waiting for your reply, I will try my best to review and prepare for the examination of your school seriously. Though physically and mentally exhausted, the mental strength will always be abundant. I insist on my dream and fight for my future. I like my major and I want to do better in this field. I believe that with my efforts, I will be able to be admitted into MIT.
