Everyone spends time and energy on hobbies, and they can make our life more colorful. Who would like to the first to share his hobby? Liu: I have many hobbies, such as fishing. I like fishing not because I like to eat fish but because I enjoy the wonderful time while I am fishing. Fishing can let me contact with nature closely, breathe the fresh air and purify my soul. Mostly, fishing cultivates my patience. What is your hobby, Zhao jinkun? Zhao: My hobby is playing The Three Kill game, and I like it very much. That's a desktop game which is so popular among students. There's lots of interesting in playing it. You can just play several times and you will learn it, it's very easy to learn its rules. How about you xiaoke and Dengqiong? Duan: En, My hobby is playing ping-pong. Zhang JiKe is my favorite table tennis champion.To play table tennis can improve my response speed. The most important thing is that playing ping-pong can build up my body and make me feel relax. Deng: Reading is one of my few hobbies. Actually, it is after I entered the college I began to read a lot. Liu: What do you mean by few? Deng: When I was a little girl, I have many hobbies, such as dancing, singing and drawing. But then I found it is difficult to keep these hobbies after I started my primary school. Duan: Yes, I understand. Because in Chinese schools, we only learn math, Chinese, English and some other subjects that will be the examination subject in the university entrance exam. Deng: As I entered the university, I have enough time but I found that it is too difficult to pick up those hobbies. Liu: What a pity! I gave up many hobbies when I started my school life. Duan: I think this is mainly caused by our Chinese educational patterns, which is weak in training students’ awareness of innovation, creative thinking and practical capability. With the development of society, people enjoy various hobbies in their daily life to relax and enrich themselves, but in the meanwhile, the higher press and shrinked leisure time force them to give up many of them, it’s a pity. Liu: Although we can still try to stick with our hobbies as they are so important to us. Deng：Everyone has a variety of hobbies，like basketball, computer games, shopping, eating and so on. Hobby is a part of our life, when we do something that we are interested in, we will feel joyful and satisfied. Liu: Yes, hobby is very important for our personality development. It’s good for our live, work, and study to cultivate good hobby. But what are these benefits? Duan: for our students, there is a lot of courses and too much homework every day. But beyond that, we need to finish the experimental task that our tutor order us to do. Sometimes we feel that life is very nervous. But in the course of nervous learning, we can do something that we are interested in ,it will make us forget nervous temporarily. To devote ourselves to something nice that can make our heart peace. Zhao: Well, that’s good. Some hobbies can provide us some opportunities to know a lot of friends. Sometimes we do something on our own, we will feel lonely and boring. We need someone to share with us, like :playing basketball、computer game and so on. It‘s because of that we all have the same hobbies, so we can have a lot of topic to communicate. Liu: Friends are very important to us, especially the like-minded friends. They will make us feel emotional resonance. I think hobbies can increase our extracurricular knowledge and skills. The simplest example is that someone like reading, he will read many aspects of books consist of science, natural, novels, magazines and so on. When he chats with others, he can tell others something interesting and attractive. In the pacific study and work, he will solve a lot of problems by using the accumulated knowledge. Deng: I think hobbies can not only increase our knowledge, but also improve our confidence. For example, someone sings very well, people would appreciate her singing then she will feel recognized. Someone plays ball games well, when play with others, he would be the most popular teammate, and always get the attacking full back role because others trust him, and the trust would make him feel confident. zhao: Yes. Everyone needs its own hobbies, but we don’t need to speed too much time, energy and money on them, because we have our own work to do. Hobbies are just the way to enjoy our free time and enrich ourselves. duan: I can’t agree with you more. More time, energy and money on hobbies may give too much burden on us from many ways. For example, over-indulgence in physical exercise can do more harm than good. I have noticed that some of my friends spend too much time on sports make themselves too tired to stay awake during the class. Liu: more worse it’s that, the unhealthy culture and development of hobbies may lead to some of people falling in addiction to some harmful hobbies. Many young men in internet smoking or alcohol addiction are also a big issue in society. Deng: so the best way to benefit us is to balance our work and hobbies. This is our discussion above.
