1. --What’s this in English? 用英语说这是什么?
-- It’s an orange. (它)是一个橘子。
in 表示“以......”“用......” Eg:in English用英语,in Chinese用汉语。
2. this, that 在句中是指示代词。this是“这,这个”的意思,指较近的人或物体;that 是“那,
那个”的意思,指较远的人或物体。它们当主语来提问时,通常用it来回答。
Eg: --What’s that?

3. It’s an eraser.
a/an被称作不定冠词,用在单数可数名词前,表达某一个人或事物中的一个,相当于汉语的
“一”, 但不强调数目概念。
a/an用法的区别:
① a 用在以辅音音素开头的单词前。Eg: a book, a desk, a ruler
② an 用在以元音音素开头的单词前。Eg: an egg, an apple, an orange
[注意]音素指的是读音,而不是字母。 如:
an English book; an hour; an old car; a useful dictionary
