1、A Young Idler,An Old Beggar

Almost everyone knows the famous Chinese saying：A young idler，an old beggar.

Throughout history，we have seen many cases in which this saying has again and again proved to be true.

It goes without saying that the youth is the best time of life，during which one's mental and physical states are at their peaks. It takes relatively less time and pains to learn or accept new things in a world full of changes and rapid developments. In addition，one is less likely to be under great pressure from career，family and health

problems when young. Therefore，a fresh mind plus enormous energy will ensure success in different aspects of life.

Of course，we all know：no pains，no gains. If we don't make every effort to make

good use of the advantages youth brings us，it is impossible to achieve any goals. As

students，we should now try our best to learn all the subjects well so that we can be well prepared for the challenges that we will face in the future.

少壮不努力,老大徒伤悲

几乎所有人都知道中国有一句老话:少壮不努力,老大徒伤悲.通过阅读历史,我们从一个又一个的案例当中得知,这句话被证实是真确的.

不用说都知道,在青年时期,人的智力和身体状况都是一生中最好的,这也是一个人一生中最好的时期.在这个处处都不停地转变,飞快地发展的世界里,年轻使人相对地用更少的时间去学习和领悟新知.在这时,很少人会困在从事业上来的压力下,家庭和健康问题也比较小(就是说不是没有--译者).所以,一个清醒的脑袋加上巨大的能量就会成就人生中不同方面的成功.

当然,我们都知道:没有挫折就没有获得.如果我们没有好好努力去利用年轻带给我们的优胜之处,那就没有可能获得任何的成功.作为中学生,我们应该做到最

好去学好每一个科目,这样的话,我们就可以为将来即将面对的挑战做好准备.

2、Ladies and Gentlemen, Good afternoon!

I’m very glad to stand here and give you a short speech. Today my topic i s “youth”. I hope you will like it, and found the importance in your youth so that more cherish it.

First I want to ask you some questions:

1、Do you know what is youth?

2、How do you master your youth?

Youth

Youth is not a time of life, it is a state of mind; it is not rosy cheeks , red lips and supple knees, it is a matter of the emotions : it is the freshness ; it is the freshness of the

deep springs of life .

Youth means a temperamental predominance of courage over timidity of the appetite, for adventure over the love of ease. This often exists in a man of 60 more than

a boy of 20 . Nobody grows old merely by a number of years. We grow old by deserting

our ideals.Years wrinkle the skin, but to give up enthusiasm wrinkles the soul. Worry, fear, self–distrust bows the heart and turns the spirit back to dust.

Whether 60 of 16, there is in every human being ‘s heart the lure of wonders, the unfailing childlike appetite of w hat’s next and the joy of the game of living . In the center of your heart and my heart there’s a wireless station: so long as it receives messages of beauty, hope ,cheer, courage and power from men and from the infinite, so

long as you are young .

When the aerials are down, and your spirit is covered with snows of cynicism and the ice of pessimism, then you are grown old ,even at 20 , but as long as your aerials are up,to catch waves of optimism , there is hope you may die young at 80.

青春不是指岁月，而是指心态。粉嫩的脸，红润的唇，矫健的膝并不是青春。青春表现在意志的坚强与懦弱。想象的丰富与苍白、情感的充沛与贫乏等方面。青春是生命深处清泉的喷涌。

青春是追求。只有当勇气盖过怯弱、进取压倒苟安之时，青春才存在。果如此，则60见之长者比20岁之少年更具青春活力。仅仅岁月的流逝并不能使他们衰老。而一旦抛弃理想和信念，则垂垂老也。

岁月只能使皮肤起皱。而一旦丧失生活的激情，则连灵魂枯老，使人生枯如死水，毫无活力。60岁长者也好，16岁少年也罢，每个人的内心深处都渴望奇迹，都如孩子一般眨着期待的双眼，期待着下一次，期待着生活的情趣，你我灵魂深处都有一座无线电中转站------只有你我年轻，则总能听到希望的呼唤，总能发出喜悦的欢呼，总能传达勇气的讯号，总能表现出青春的活力。

一旦青春的天线倒下，你的灵魂即为玩世不恭之雪、悲观厌世之冰覆盖;即使你年方20.其实你已垂垂老也。而只要你青春的天线高高耸起，就可以随时接收到乐观的电波-----即

使你年过八旬，行将就木，而你却仍然拥有青春，你仍然年轻。

3、Who arrived at the place all belong to yesterday. Even if the mountains green again the water to show that water again gentleness. There are a lot of scenery in the world I have not old. I know dashan is rocky the sea waves the desert sand forest have a beast of prey. Even so I

still like it. Break the peace of life is another scene. Glad I haven't old.

What about even old not words called hale and hearty? So I would also like to learn from the mountain I also want to learn from the brave I also want to learn from the desert I also want to learn from the forest alert. I want to learn to taste a colorful life. How far one can go? This is not to ask two feet but ask ambition; Man can climb much higher? This thing is not to ask his hands but asked will. So I want to use the youth blood raise a lofty goals for yourself. Is not only to win a glorious but also in pursuit of a kind of state. Goals is glorious goal not life will be because of the wind and rain all the way walk becomes rich and colorful;

In my opinion this is not to life. Yes I like to start I wish you also like it. In life often have numerous blow from outside but what effect will these blows to you the final say in your hands.

凡是到达了的地方，都属于昨天。哪怕那山再青，那水再秀，那水再温柔。太深的流连便成了一种羁绊，绊住的不仅有双脚，还有未来。怎么能不喜欢出

发呢?没见过大山的巍峨，真是遗憾;见了大山的巍峨没见过大海的浩瀚，仍是遗憾;见了大海的浩瀚没见过大漠的广袤，依旧遗憾;见了大漠的广袤没见过森林的神秘，还是遗憾。世界上有不绝的风景，我有不老的心情。我自然知道，大山有坎坷，大海有波浪，大漠有风沙，森林有猛兽。即便这样，我依然喜欢。打破生活的平静便是另一番景致。真庆幸，我还没有老。即使老了又怎么样，不是有句话叫老当益壮吗? 于是，我还想从大山那里学习深刻，我还想从大海那里学习勇敢，我还想从大漠那里学习沉着，我还想从森林那里学习机敏。我想学着品味一种缤纷的人生。人能走多远?这话不是要问两脚而是要问志向;人能攀多高?这事不是要问双手而是要问意志。于是，我想用青春的热血给自己树起一个高远的目标。不仅是为了争取一种光荣，更是为了追求一种境界。目标实现了，便是光荣，目标实现不了，人生也会因这一路风雨跋涉变得丰富而充实;在我看来，这就是不虚此生。是的，我喜欢出发，愿你也喜欢。人生中，经常有无数来自外部的打击，但这些打击究竟会对你产生怎样的影响，最终决定权在你手中。
