Some people think it is humanistic to allow college students to get married, while there are some others who believe that it may make a far-reaching negative impact upon the students’ study. Were it left for me to decide whether college students should be allowed to get married or not, I would not hesitate a moment to prefer the latter. There are a dozen of reasons behind my belief. First of all, academic studying is what the college life should focus on. The whole point of marriage is that it imposes clear obligations, not just the right to pursue your own happiness, but to provide both emotional and practical care for each other, which surely wastes a lot of time. More importantly, most college students are relying on their parents’ financial support to continue their study. Surely, their parents hope they can concentrate on study instead of love affairs.
