The Great Wall is not only one of the world cultural heritages, but the symbol of the Chinese nation. Its architectural value is comparable to its historical and strategic importance. Among the numerous remains of the Great Wall, Badaling in Beijing is the most popular destination that has won fame both at home and abroad. It can also be regarded as the most representative section of the Wall ever

constructed during the Ming Dynasty. Every year it attracts many tourists from all over the world.

1.中华文明的瑰宝:瑰宝即为“特别珍贵的东西”，所以可译为the treasure of Chinese civilization。

2.智慧的结晶:这里要表达的意思是:成果，杰作，千万不要直译，可译为masterpiece。

3.与...相嫂美:可译为be comparable to,也可以表达为A and B are comparable。

4.驰名中外:可译为have won fame both at home and abroad, be known at home and abroad 或者be renowned both inside and outside the country。

5.接待…游客:中文中“接待游客”的主语常是某个地方或景点，而英文中却不说某个地方或景点receive tourists, receive作“接待”讲时，常用人作主语。所以这里可以灵活翻译为attract tourists。
