《泰坦尼克号》是美国二十世纪福斯电影公司、派拉蒙影业公司出品爱情片，由詹姆斯卡梅隆执导，莱昂纳多迪卡普里奥、凯特温斯莱特领衔主演。
影片以1912年泰坦尼克号邮轮在其处女启航时触礁冰山而沉没的事件为背景，讲述了处于不同阶层的两个人穷画家杰克和贵族女露丝抛弃世俗的偏见坠入爱河，最终杰克把生命的机会让给了露丝的感人故事。
该片于1997年12月19日在美国上映，1998年4月3日在中国在内地上映，2012年4月10日以3D版在中国内地重映。

泰坦尼克号电影幕后制作
前期筹备
影片选拍摄地址，从零开始搭建一个包含蓄水槽的大型摄影基地，一开始定的是马耳他的一个天然水坑，但当地政府以破坏环境为由，不予放行。最终选定的是墨西哥罗萨里托的一个沿海开发区，经过了漫长的谈判，福斯公司买下了罗萨斯托40英亩的土地，还另购置60英亩以备不时之需。
场景搭建
团队在搭建人工湖、摄影棚的同时，泰坦尼克号巨大的船体模型也在艺术总监Charles Lee的带领下建造着。一开始团队打算用临时的帆布来搭建这些场景，但是考虑到拍摄周期将会很长，最后决定使用钢结构。为了进度，船上的布景建设必须同时进行。还有大部分的内部设施，舱餐厅、那个豪华楼梯等都是在墨西哥城制作完成，再拆开运到罗萨里托，再由工作人员装配起来。
版本转换
《泰坦尼克号》3D版本工程浩大，不论是时间还是成本，在规格上都堪比制作一部新电影。詹姆斯卡梅隆参与了每一帧画面的转制过程，有300位计算机工程师为此辛苦了逾60周，他们要画出每一个物体和每个角色脸部的轮廓，放进正确的深度位置，并且通过非常精巧的处理让这些效果完全融入并不留痕迹。因原版《泰坦尼克号》没有数字母带，所以转制3D从修复开始，先清理掉原来2D素材的噪点，尽量让影片像全新的。
