The River of Life

生ห้องสมุดไป่ตู้之川

the more we live, more brief appear our life's succeeding stages; a day to childhood seems a year, and years like passing ages the gladsome current of our youth, ere passion yet disorders, steals lingering like a river smooth, along its grassy borders.
但待颊上的红霞退尽， 忧愁的征箭越飞越频， 星星呦星星，你们大小司命， 你们的运行为何越来越迅？ 当快感失去了花时和吸引， 生命本身有如一个空瓶， 当我快要临到死境， 为什么退潮更加猛进？
it may be strange-yet who would change time's coures to slower speeding, when one by one our friends have gone and left our bosoms bleeding?
人 生 越 老，岁 月 越 短， 生 命 的 历 程似在飞 换； 儿 时 的 一 天 如 同一 载， 一 载 如 同几 个 朝 代。 青 春 的 热 情 尚 未 衰 退， 愉 悦 的 流 泉 但 觉迟 迟， 有 如 一道 草 原 中 的 绿 溪， 静 悄 悄 的 蜿 蜒 着 流 泻。
but as the care-worn cheets grow wan, and sorrow's shafts fly thicker, ye stars, that measure life to man, why seem your courses quicker? when joys have lost their bloom and breath and life itself is vapid, why, as we reach the falls of death, feel we its tide more rapid?
heaven gives our years of fading strength indemnifying fleetness; and those of youth,a seeming length, proportion'd their sweetness.
怪诞呀，可能是怪诞—— 谁要不想把日程放慢， 友人的谢世接二连三， 胸中的伤痛如荼如炭。 是天，使我们日渐衰竭的暮年 得到迅速消失的补偿， 是天，使青年时代的快乐， 得到相应的貌似延长。
