And don't get me started on the social pressures of trying to fit in with the "cool" crowd. It was like entering a whole new world.The academic jump was intense too. Is this punishment for those years of doing nothing but coloring and nap time in elementary school?Then there's the whole struggle of dealing with mean bullies and queen bees. You'd think people would be nice since we're all in the same awkward, confusing pre-teen boat. But no, some kids got a power trip from tormenting others. Puberty is hard enough without jerks making it worse.Despite all the craziness, I've also had some incredible times in middle school. I've made amazing friends that I'll be buddies with forever.
