conflict?“Everyone has to deal with conflict at some point.I have found that when there is conflict it helpsto try and put yourself in the other person's shoes and understand their perspective. It is important to ask questions andlisten to their point of view.If you know what their interpretation of the situation is, then it is easier to work out a solution. For example....Core to successful teaching is your ability to manage the classroom, introduce discipline and build good relationships with both the students and parentsTeaching styleyou should be able to adopt a number of teaching styles that are appropriate for different learning situations.you are able to adapt your style to the needs of the students. For example, you may adopt a facilitator type style that emphasizes student-centered learning with students who are comfortable with independent learning. What strategies do you use to encourage group work amongst your students? In your answer to teacher interview questions like this it is important todemonstrate that you understand what the advantages(encouraging cooperation among students, facilitating the cross-pollination of ideas and information)and children? Methods of disciplining children depend on many factors –type of child, type of the offense that has been committed, time of day, time of previous offense and more.Sometimes, the fear of discipline is enough for a child.Such a child does not require more discipline per se.Others need a heavier hand.I try to work with positive as much as possible, but if pressed to bring discipline into the picture, I would first begin with assigning after-school work to the child and increase it as the seriousness of the act increases. If afew such assignments do not help and I think that things are getting out of hand, I would call the parents and inform them of the scenario in school, and work on a plan.If necessary, we would consult the principal.Where do you think reasoning should end and discipline should begin?Every child is different and therefore the way to teach them varies as well.Of course, they are all in one class, so there must be some uniformity. When order needs to be restored, I must consider well –and quickly. Some children realize their mistake even with a single admonishment while others require more serious measures to understand the unsuitability of their activities. In general, there is not too much time to reason with children in class, as it disturbs the tempo of the class.I may try to speak with children during recess or after class if explanations are in order. Therefore, while it is of utmost importance to have a clear disciplinary plan, I realize I may have to be creative and flexible in some cases. It is an effective strategy for teaching large groups of students.Encourages teachers to collaborate and generateideas...two heads are always better than one!”Upon entering my classroom you w ill find a lively and colorful room completely centered upon children and active learning.Sight words, the alphabet, numbers, and inspirational quotes cover the walls while large bulletin boards proudly display students' work.A large area contains a carpeted reading or group corner specifically for storytelling, show-and-tell, weather discussions and calendar and day-of-the-week conversations. This classroom includes an abundance of age appropriate reading materials and student mailboxes where children place personal journals, home reading books and workbooks in the morning and then collect newsletters or other parent communication at the end of the day."Class disciplineIt is important to develop ground rules the first week of class, this allows the students to understand what is and isn't acceptable behavior. These rules are discussed and agreed upon with the students, this makes the students accountabi lity and responsible. It is important that a successful principal...has a vision and a plan to reach that bined with the ability to bring faculty members together to form a cooperative team and motivate them to reach district goals and objectives.be visible...the principal's presence should be evident on a continual basis. He or she must be easily accessible to both students and teachers.has a great sense of humor, and can relate well to a diverse group of individuals.genuinely cares about the students, teachers, Teaching presentation
Good morning everyone! Today, I am going to talk about the second lesson of Unit 3 Part B in Book 1---Look at me.
First, I’d like to talk about the teaching contents:
In this lesson, the students will learn the new words like head, arm, hand, body, leg, foot, and the useful expression: This is the....
Second, I’d like to analyze the students
Our students are in Grade three. They are naturally lively, curious, like to express themselves, but they still lack some learning skills and their vocabularies are so limited. So in this lesson I will focus on improving their learning skills.
According to the teaching contents and the students, I think the teaching aims conclude the following parts:
To enable the students to understand and speak 6 new words: head, arm, hand, body, leg, foot. And the sentence: this is the ….
Meanwhile, the frugal form of the new words should be noticed.
T o develop the students’ listening and speaking skills.
To arouse the students’ interest s of learning English.
3. Key points and difficulties
According to the above aims, I consider that the key points are to master the 6 new words and the sentence. The difficulties are to improve students’ listening and speaking. And make clear the
difference between head and hand.
Next comes to the teaching method.
In order to cultivate pupils’ basic abilities of listening and speaking and their good sense of the English language, in this lesson, I’ll use TPR, communicative teaching method and Task-based method. Therefore, I arrange some kinds of activities: singing, guessing game to achieve the teaching aims.
Teaching aids
Also some pictures, words cards, and the power point will be used as my teaching aids.
Now, I will mainly talk about the teaching procedures and purpose of my lesson design. It will be carried out in 6 steps.
Step 1, Warming up
1.Free talk : greeting
2.Sing a song: head, shoulders, knees and toes
Here, it is important to form a better English learning surrounding for students by singing and doing some total physical response. At the same time, it can relax the students and prepare for the next step.
Step 2, Presentation
As we know: A good beginning is half done. Here I present the new words and sentences like that:
1. Show them a box in ppt and say: boys and girls look! what is
this?
S: A gift.
T: Oh, yes. It’s a gift for Holloween. Do you want to know what’s in it?
S: Yes
T: Ok. Let’s have a look. Wow, what comes out from the box?
Oh, It’s a head. (Students read after the T: head, head, touch your head.) The other words: arm, hand, body, leg, foot will be taught in the same way.
3.Show students the whole picture of the puppet, e= and say: who is he?
T: Yes, this is Zoom. This is the head; this is the arm….Then
enable the students to describe in: this is the….
My purpose here is to create an interesting and vivid situation for students to master the new words and sentences. And we know good input is benefit to the following learning.
Next, comes to Step 3, Practice
After presenting the new words, the students need some activities to practice. I think games are the most effective ways to improve language learning. Therefore, I choose some games.
1.Bomb game
2.Touch and say
3.Make up a song
Games can activate students to participate in language communication. Meanwhile, Students like learning by playing games.
Step 4, Extension
After learning the new knowledge, students must use them. So in this part I will divide the students into several groups, and provide some pictures. One describe the pictures, the others draw, For example: My name’s Cici. I have a blue head, green eyes….. Finally, show pictures out.
Task-based method is used here to develop students’ abilities of communication and also their ability of cooperation will be trained.
Step 5 Blackboard design
Look! My blackboard design can be shown like this. All of the key words and sentences are listed, which is easy for the students to understand.
Step 6 last, of course, homework
1.Sing the song.
2.Color the picture.
That’s all, thanks a lot for your listening.。
