如何写诗评
读过一首诗后,该如何评价它呢?
首先,对该诗做一个总体介绍,让读者知道该诗的标题、作者、所写的大体内
容、主题思想及创作目的,甚至可以包括写作的时间或时代特点。这样,可以让读
者更多地了解诗的创作背景。可用下列句式:

This is a poem written by ...; The poem called ... by ... is very ...
其次,要描述自己从诗中所体会到的意境。意境是诗人要表达的思想感情与诗
中所描绘的生活场景有机融合而形成的一种耐人寻味的艺术境界。诗人通过对诗中
某一情景的描绘抒发了自己的情感。可用下列句式:

In the poem, we can see ...; The poem reminds me of ...; The poet lets
the readers imagine a vivid picture of ...; It seems as if ...; It sounds
as if ...

最后,表达自己对诗歌的看法,并给出理由。可用下列句式:
Although the poem is very short, it’s very ...; It is a very beautiful
way to express ...; I like the poem because it is very ...; It seems as if
the poem ...

In This Short Life是美国女诗人埃米莉·迪更生(Emily Dickinson)的一首
短诗。请根据该诗写一篇英语短文评价该诗,在英语课上与其他同学交流。

One possible version:
The poem is written by Emily Dickinson, a famous American poet of the
19th century. The structure of the poem shows its main theme — life is short
and unpredictable. The fact that the poem is short stresses that the years
pass soon and death comes quickly. The third line explains the false dreams
of life. Many people, when they are young, have great dreams for their life
but often seem to achieve so little. The temporary stop in the middle of the
line suggests someone trying, and failing, to realize a dream, almost like
trying to catch a butterfly but failing to hold on to it.

Emily Dickinson has created a short poem that contains a great truth.
Although it is simple and direct, it matches its theme.
