Since it is a story related to law students and law cases, words like “law”“court” “jury”“judge”and “equality”almost appear everywhere. The four lectures in this unit will dwell on the roots respectively related to the meanings of law, judging (giving a final decision), and equality. And the first one is on the root “leg” or “legis”, which means “law”.2.
