最近几年大学英语一直采用的是最低分和倒扣分的做法，也就是说如果作文得0分，即使总分达到60分，也判为不及格；作文在6分以下的要倒扣分数，公式如下：最终得分=原卷面总分—6分+ 作文实得分如果一位同学是因为作文倒扣了分数而导致没能及格，那么在成绩报告表上会有w的标记。
作文题采用总体评分方法。
阅卷人员根据对作文总的印象给出奖励分，而不是按语言点的错误数目扣分。
阅卷老师要看完全篇再给分，而不是只看一部分。
一般说来阅卷老师都是先确定文章的档次，再根据文章具体情况进行微调。
从内容和语言两个方面对作文进行综合评判。
内容和语言是一个统一体，作文应表达题目所规定的内容，而内容则要通过语言来表达。
避免趋中倾向。
评分钟该给高分的给高分，包括满分；该给低分的给低分，包括0分。
写作对策:大家知道尽管作文评分有具体的标准，但教师的主观性因素仍然起着不可忽视的作用。
因此文章要获得高分，即必须得到阅卷老师的认可，给阅卷老师留下一个好的印象十分重要。
以下几个方面既是教师在评卷时特别关注的地方，也应该是同学们在写作中应加以注意的地方：1. 内容是否紧扣主题，涵盖提示要点：写作的第一步就是审准题，同学们只要进口题目来写，就不会出现大的问题。
能抓住题目的精髓来写是最理想的，但是如果没有理解题目的核心，只按照确定下来的主题根据提纲来写也未必失分。
如2002年12月的作文It Pays to Be Honest, 有的同学就理解错了，没有理解这里的pay就是worth the efforts的意思。
万一出现这样的情况，就只能在“诚实”的主题下，直接扣准中文的提纲来写。
另外在考试中，虽让完全跑题的现象非常少，但是漏“点”的情况却很多，这里说的“点”就是提纲中的两点或三点内容。
像我们这次写的作文“Parents differ from children in career choice”给的两点内容中，很多同学就把第一点“Who makes the choice?”漏掉了。
同学们应注意，审题既包括看英文的题目，还包括看中文提纲，有时还有表格和图画等。
2. 作文结构层次是否清晰作文一定要分段来写，这是体现文章结构的关键。
一方面它是英语文章结构形式的基本体现；另一方面它可以让评卷教师觉得你的作文结构完整，合理，符合写作要求，具备英语文章结构完整的基本要素。
作文要有引言段，扩展段和结尾段。
在引言段中要包含中心句；扩展段的每一段均应有主题句；结尾段应该是一个自然收尾的段落。
另外，每段开头都应空出相同的字符数空格。
文章的题目已经给出，不必重抄，段与段之间也不必空行。
3. 语言表达是否流畅，有无重大语病，有无逻辑错误一般说来，评卷教师阅卷的速度很快，对语言关注的程度就很高。
内容和语言是统一的，语言方面的错误势必会影响内容的表达，做成理解障碍。
所以同学们要尽量避免语言错误，特别是遣词造句中的严重错误。
文章的观点基本成立，但语言流畅，词汇语法正确的文章，其得分要高于那些立意新颖但语言蹩脚的文章。
其实在作文中同意哪种观点并不重要，用什么办法来解决问题也没有“标准”答案，只要言之有理，自圆其说即可。
4. 是否能恰当的使用过渡性词语过渡性词语是用来表示句子与句子，段落与段落之间相互关联的词或词组。
它把上下文有机的连接起来，使句子更为紧凑，段落更为连贯，逻辑更为严谨。
有过渡性词语是一篇好文章的标志之一，更重要的事，它可以使阅卷教师对文章的结构及闪光的语言点一目了然。
5. 作文字数是否达到要求。
在实际写作中，作文的最佳字数是150字左右，如果写不够题目要求的字数要被扣分。
但作文也切忌过长，作文在规定的字数内已经完全能够用来体现同学们的写作水平。
就现有的大多数学生的实际写作水平而言，往往写得越多，错误就越多，所以点到为止，见好就收，才是最稳妥的写作对策。
6. 卷面是否整洁，书写是否漂亮整洁的卷面和漂亮的书写使人赏心悦目，能给评卷教师留下良好的第一印象，增强评卷教师的阅读欲望。
字迹潦草，难以辨认，或者绢面上涂涂抹抹，不但破坏了卷面的整洁，还会大大降低评卷教师的阅读欲望，有时甚至导致误判，从而影响自己的得分。
虽然不能要求每一个同学都要写出漂亮的字来，但最起码也要写得整齐，清晰。
