看电影学英语作者：钱润荷来源：《中学生英语·阅读与写作》2013年第06期电影是一种视听并用、音像同步的媒体，利用优秀的原版英文电影学习英语，情景直观，内容生动具体，对在汉语环境下学习英语的中国学生来说具有十分重要的意义。
英文电影在创造真实的语言环境、提高听说能力、激发学生学习兴趣、培养英语思维、增强文化意识、提高跨文化交际能力等方面起到了积极的作用。
■传统的词汇学习模式，即视觉学习，虽然有益但不是最有效的。
而借助英文电影（英文字幕）进行的视、听觉协同学习，可以作为一种新型的学习模式，补充到词汇学习中去。
在 Journey to the Center of the Earth II （《地心历险记2》）中，有这样一句台词里提到了儒勒·凡尔纳的小说《海底两万里》书名的翻译，Twenty Thousand Leagues Under the Sea中的“league”不再是平时我们常见的“联盟、社团”之意，而是“里格”，一种长度单位。
在Ghost Rider： Spirit of Vengeance （《灵魂战车2：复仇时刻》）中，有骑士对劫匪说“Looking to my eyes，your soul is stained by the blood of the innocent. Feel their pain！”（看着我的眼睛，你的灵魂被受害者侵蚀了，感受他们的痛苦吧！）其中“stain”意为“弄脏，污染，污点”。
“innocent”意为“无辜的，清白的”。
通过这句话，可以轻松掌握两个较为高级的词汇。
■不少人一谈起英语语法的学习就倍感头痛，原因就是语法太枯燥乏味了。
由于对语法失去了兴趣，渐渐对英语学习也没有了信心，以至不能坚持学下去，最后只好放弃。
笔者在观看一些经典英文电影时，注意到有些经典台词就包含着一些基本语法结构，而这些电影台词有助于英语语法学习。
例如，在电影Journey to the Center of the Earth II 中，有这样一句台词，“If it weren’t for me，you’d be in juvie for the next six months.”这句台词就是一个if 引导的虚拟条件句。
