我们要在以下几个方面加强对孩子的学习教育。
一、要给孩子们营造宽松的学习环境。
一是学校的学习环境。
我们老师在英语教学过程中，尊重每个学生，保护他们的自尊心和积极性。

英语教师家长会材料
尊敬的各位家长大家好：
我是本班的英语教师，很高兴能有机会和大家共同交流探讨怎样让我们孩子的英语学的更好。
英语是一门非常重要的学科，就短期目标来看，无论是中考还是高考，甚至于孩子将来的继续深造，各个专业的学习都离不开英语，英语也都是占分值比较大的主导学科；就远期目标来看，社会不断的发展，国家日益强盛，与国外的合作日益增多，对于我们的这一代孩子来说，英语会影响到他们的就业，甚至于贯穿并影响他们的一生，所以我们必须学好英语。
那么怎么学好英语呢？很简单，就三个字：读、背、听。
一．读。
读分为以下两方面：
1. 朗读。
现在我们正在推行小组合作学习，每单元单词都会
让学生预习自读，在互教互学，确保学生读对读准单词。
然后
能够准确流利的读出单词、句型及课文，这样做一方面可以提
高学生的语音水平，练习了口语，同时也为词汇、句型的记忆
奠定了基础。
2. 阅读。
英语是一门语言的学习，多阅读一些英语读物，培
养语感，成绩自然提高。
二．背。
首先是背下单词，然后是短语最后是句子，而句子和短语也都是由单词组成的，而学生的词汇量又直接影响到他们的
完成句子、阅读和写作能力，所以单词是基础，必须牢记，这
就要求学生必须勤奋。
很多男孩子英语学不好就是懒于记忆。
其实英语单词比汉语要简单的多而且很多发音都和汉语拼音
相通，学生按照发音规则记忆是很容易的，更重要的一点是我
们必须知道记忆力有一个遗忘规律，很多学生背的很快，忘得
更快，这就要求学生必须多复习，温故而知新，才能取得良好
的效果。
三．听。
可以借或去书店买与教材相配套的听力材料，多听，多跟读，这样一方面可以提高孩子的听力，让考试中的听力25
分得到手，更重要的是让孩子能在学完英语后能和外国人做简
单的交流。
“读、背、听”听起来简单，做起来就不是那么容易了，这需要孩子们付出辛勤的汗水，更需要咱们在座各位家长的支持与鼓励，所以对家长提出以下几点建议：
一．明确我们初一年级在英语学习中的重要地位。
尽管好似离中考还比较远，但却占有举足轻重的地位，特别是对于原来
基础比较差的学生，因为初一学的知识比较少，现在补完全
来得及也更容易，到初三要增添新的科目知识加深想赶就难
了，而初四为了迎接中考，教师讲课速度加快，而且想在一
年的功夫学四年的知识几乎是不可能的。
即便是对基础相对
来讲好一点的学生来说，学习如同盖楼房，基础一定要牢固，
否则楼房就要倒塌。
二．树立并坚定孩子能学好英语的自信心。
自信心如同一对翅膀，能让孩子飞的更高更远更快。
有信心不一定会成功，但
没有信心却一定不会成功。
有些孩子特别是原来英语成绩差
的孩子，这么小就给自己画了句号，自己告诉自己不行，所
以从来都不听也不记，这样只会导致恶性循环，告诉孩子我
们不比别人差，对孩子高标准、严要求，鼓励孩子以勤补拙，增强自信。
三．培养孩子良好的学习习惯。
1. 上课：必须要保证课堂效率，课堂上老师将知识整合，引导
学生用最简单的方法记忆，所以课堂上认真听可以代替课后的几倍功夫，所以我们家长要保证孩子充足的睡眠和营养，让孩子尽可能的提高课堂效率，当堂的内容当堂掌握。
2. 复习：课堂掌握好了并不代表课后就不用复习了，因为不复
习很快就会把课堂内容忘却。
英语作业一般都是写或背当天所学内容，孩子只要课堂上跟上老师的进度，晚上能背好当天的内容，就绝对能学好，而有的学生今天的没背，直接影响第二天的新知识的学习，日积月累，想学也学不好了。
初二的学生自制力差，所以要求家长一定要督促孩子每晚记忆当天的学习内容，早晨上学时间很晚，可以让孩子起床后读背20分钟英语，另外每一天老师都会对孩子前一天的学习内容进行小测，可以多关心一下孩子的小测，不要等到最后孩子成绩差了才质问孩子为什么没学好，过程比结果更重要。
3. 预习：鼓励有能力的学生提前自学，然后带着问题听课，效
果会更好。
四．制定合理的目标。
有目标才有方向，有方向才有动力。
家长可以和孩子坐下共同制定一个长远的目标----本学期的英
语成绩，然后确立每次考试的目标是多少分，更重要的是时
刻提醒孩子的目标，并督促孩子不断努力，也可以加上使当
地奖励。
