美国tom朋友到我来北京旅游的英语作文

An Unforgettable Journey: My American Friend Tom's Visit to BeijingThe sun was shining brightly as I awaited the arrival of my American friend, Tom, at Beijing CapitalInternational Airport. Tom had been eager to visit Chinafor years, and finally, his dream had come true. As we hugged and exchanged greetings, I could see the excitement and curiosity in his eyes. Our first destination was the Forbidden City, a majestic complex that once served as the royal palace. Walking through its towering red walls and intricate courtyards, Tom marveled at the intricate carvings and vibrant colors. He listened intently as I explained the history and significance of each building, his eyes wide with amazement.Later, we ventured to the Great Wall, a symbol of China's ancient civilization and a must-see attraction for any visitor. As we scaled the steps and walked along the ancient wall, Tom couldn't help but express his awe. He took countless photos, capturing the breathtaking views and our shared moments. The next day, we explored the bustling streets of Hutong, where Tom had the opportunity to experience traditional Beijing life. We visited a local family, who invited us to join them for a traditional meal. Tom was fascinated by the food, especially the dumplings and Peking duck, and he eagerly tried every dish.In the evening, we attended a traditional Peking Opera performance. Tom was initially skeptical, but as the performance unfolded, his expression changed to one of amazement and appreciation. He was captivated by the colorful costumes, the intricate facial makeup, and the powerful vocals of the performers. Our final day was dedicated to exploring the modern side of Beijing. We visited the National Museum of China, where Tom was able to gain a deeper understanding ofChina's rich history and culture. We also walked through the bustling shopping streets of Wangfujing, where Tom indulged in some retail therapy, purchasing souvenirs for his family and friends. As our journey drew to a close, Tom expressed his gratitude for the opportunity to visit Beijing andexperience its unique blend of ancient and modern culture. He said that the trip had been more than he had imaginedand that he had fallen in love with the city and its people. Reflecting on our time together, I realized that Tom's visit had been a rewarding experience for both of us. Ithad not only strengthened our friendship but also deepened our understanding and appreciation of each other's cultures. As Tom boarded his flight back to America, I knew that our shared memories of Beijing would forever bind us together.**一次难忘的旅程:美国朋友汤姆的北京之行**阳光明媚的早晨,我在北京首都国际机场等待着我的美国朋友汤姆的到来。

采访北京老大爷说英语作文

采访北京老大爷说英语作文Interview with a Beijing Elderly Gentleman。
I recently had the opportunity to interview a Beijing elderly gentleman, Mr. Li, who has lived in the city forhis entire life. Despite his age, Mr. Li possesses a remarkable ability to speak English fluently, which isquite rare among the older generation in China. In this interview, I aimed to learn more about his experiences, insights, and the reasons behind his proficiency in English.Mr. Li, now in his late 70s, grew up in a traditional Beijing neighborhood where Mandarin was the primarylanguage spoken. However, he was exposed to English at an early age due to his father's occupation as a translator. His father's passion for languages inspired Mr. Li to develop an interest in English, and he began studying the language in school.During our conversation, Mr. Li shared that learningEnglish was not an easy task for him. He faced numerous challenges, such as limited resources and opportunities to practice, especially during the politically turbulent times of his youth. However, he remained determined and sought every chance to improve his language skills. One of the turning points in Mr. Li's English journey was when he joined a local English club in his community. The club provided a platform for English enthusiasts to gather and practice their language skills. Mr. Li vividly recalls how he would spend hours conversing with fellowclub members, exchanging ideas, and discussing varioustopics in English. This experience greatly enhanced his speaking and listening abilities, allowing him to communicate effectively with native English speakers.Apart from his community involvement, Mr. Li also mentioned his love for reading English literature. He believed that reading extensively in English helped him expand his vocabulary and gain a deeper understanding ofthe language. From classic novels to contemporary works, Mr. Li immersed himself in English literature, which furthernurtured his language proficiency. As our conversation progressed, Mr. Li shared his thoughts on the importance of English in today's society. He believes that English is not just a language but a tool for communication and a gateway to global opportunities. According to him, being able to speak English fluently has opened doors for him, allowing him to connect with people from different cultures, travel abroad, and even pursue international business ventures. When asked about the impact of English on the younger generation in Beijing, Mr. Li expressed concern about the growing reliance on technology for language learning. He emphasized the importance of face-to-face interaction and human connection in language acquisition, something that he believes technology cannot fully replace. He encouraged young people to engage in conversations, join language clubs, and actively seek opportunities to practice English in real-life situations.Reflecting on his own experience, Mr. Li alsoacknowledged the role of motivation and perseverance in language learning. He advised aspiring English learners to set clear goals, stay committed, and never shy away from making mistakes. He firmly believes that making mistakes is an essential part of the learning process and should be embraced as an opportunity for growth. In conclusion, my interview with Mr. Li, a Beijing elderly gentleman fluent in English, provided valuable insights into his language learning journey and the impact of English on his life. His dedication, passion, and continuous pursuit of knowledge serve as an inspiration for language learners of all ages. Mr. Li's story reminds us that with determination and a love for learning, language barriers can be overcome, and new doors of opportunity can be opened.。

[01]梁朝伟英文访问 (4日更新:完整版视频下载)梁朝伟英文访问 (视频文字记录&中文翻译)
转载:"追梦人"网站
视频文字&中文翻译:VVVV

Reportor: I read somewhere that you said you put a lot of yourself in your characters…

Tony: I used to work with the director before on how I feel about the character and what I think about I should do in different scenes. I have a very strong impression of my own total character, but after I worked with Ka-wai, I seem that I lose that kind of… (laugh) energy. I don’t know why, because after I worked with him I feel that I have nothing to work on, and I was very relaxed after working with him. He makes me become more lazy.

Reportor: (00:56) Both these directors…they will see you as someone very fragile kind of character…kind of guy…

Tony: maybe because they know quite well about me. They know how I brought up, they know my background, and I think that’s my impression for them, so…so, yeah they think that I’m… they know me quite well.

Reporter: In your background what kind of experience did you ever…something that be know by these directors would made them feel that way?

Tony: The way I brought up, and how I turn from a naughty boy to a…an open-minded naughty boy to a very restraint kid--very suppressed and very good at hiding his own emotions, and they know…I told them that I’m very shy, very insecure, lack of confidence.

Reporter: Did you talk these to your directors?

Tony: Yes. I used to… I think I used to tell them everything. I think they need to know me quite well before they work with me, so they can use the best out of me. At lease they need to know how I think and how I feel about some shooting things.

Reporter: And this ability to change fast of the expression on your face, is it something you worked on?

Tony: I don’t know how I can do that, I didn’t practice, and I just leave my emotion, just express my emotion automatically. Just let the feeling go. I never try to force… because you cannot force it, and you just need to be in that character and you’ll have that feeling, and it would come out automatically.

Reporter: Some of your best performances with John Woo, Hard Boiled and Bullet in the Head, do you like to work together again?

Tony: Of course…of course. I would really love to work with him again, but he’s too busy now. I think John might change a lot. I haven’t seen him for years, and in this period of time I think he will change, and I have changed too. I become more mature, and he moved to the States for quite a long time. He had different experience there and he might change too, so it won’t be the same.

Reporter: What do you think of his career so far in the States?

Tony: I think he’s doing very good and there was good for him, and I really like to know how he is now

Reporter: What if he ask you to act in one of those American films in Hollywood?

Tony: Why not?

Reporter: I know that John Woo is a very gentle kind of man

Tony:Yes

Reporter: And very shy… almost like you, do you?

Tony: Yes

Reporter: (04:15) do you follow up connection with him that give the ability to give him more to…?

Tony: Yes… that makes me feel very comfortable when working with him, and… we both talk in a very low voice, (laugh) not very well in communicating with people, so that makes us, you know, quite friendly when working with him. He’s very nice and… yeah makes you very comfortable.

Reporter: At first, in Hard Boild, you were supposed to play a very bad guy in a big criminal. Did you know that? And after they changed the screenplay for you to be another kind of character?

Tony: I didn’t know that

Reporter: You didn’t know that?

Tony: Yeah

Reporter: What kind of memory do you have in this film? Is it a good one or is it complete chaos?

Tony: (laugh) it’s the most horrible action movie I ever work with…really…yeah the explosion is very…is very horrible, you know they set up for a whole day for one scene and…you don’t know where all the explosion is, it’s just bang…and…but it’s memorable.

Reporter: What about Chow? Will you follow his career in the States?

Tony: I saw some of these, I saw all his movies.

Reporter: And do you think it’s easy for him? What did you think when you see these movies? He’s been trying so hard to be accepted by the American audience.

Tony: Yeah I think he… he can do more other kinds of roles, and… but it’s hard to say. (laugh)

Reporter: Do you have a good relationship with Wong Ka-wai? Cause you’re very close to the movie of…

Tony: Yes, but we seldom meet when we are not doing movies because I think he don’t want to get along with… with the movie people if he don’t want to work, and, yeah same to me too, so we seldom meet each other

Reporter: (06:38) Are there any actors who you worked with once on silver (dians?) that give you energy that you would like to work with and bring you a lot?

Tony: I think Maggie’s only one that I really want to work with again. She can really, you know drives me crazy sometimes. Sometimes she’s… I think she’s too aggressive, very energetic. Working with her makes me sometimes quite exhausted, but it’s good to work with her—makes me more energy.

Reporter: (07:39) Again I coming back from Hollywood where you were smoking a lot of cigarettes. Is it something you bring to the characters?

Tony: Actually I hate smoking in making movies, and they asked me to do it, and they think that I should smoke. I create some kind of atmosphere when I was smoking

Reporter: I think you… I think once only in this movie called the Longest Night, you were playing a rude bastard. Did you enjoy that?

Tony: Yes, very much. But…I still think I can do better. I still want to do some…bad guy, of which I actually tried to do it in the in the Mood for Love, but Kar-wai always said don’t make it too obvious, don’t make people hate you. I said but that’s human. We will have our evil side I think, and you can’t say he’s a bad guy but, I think. I think people have both sides. I actually…we tried different possibility of the character, and different side…both…at first we tried to play a decent and nice guy, a pity man who found out that his wife is in an affair. But in the middle I said why can’t we make the character more complicated, and make it…why not…we can play it a bad guy with a purpose for doing all the things, and…yeah we tried different things in between.

I don’t think I will get out clean every time when I finished the movie. I think I’ll grow up every time after I finished a movie because I really go through some kind of these experience in life, although those things are fake, but you know when you are doing a movie, you try to push yourself to believe that everything is true, so you can have your true emotions, so I really live through that process as a real human being and I treat it as a real life, so every time when I finish a movie, I think I grow up bit by bit, little by little. On the other hand, I will feel very upset too, because I think…being…is a kind of torturing yourself—making movies. When you are making thatmovie, you push yourself very hard to believe that everything is true although everything is fake, and after you finished that movie, you have to tell yourself that everything is fake, so just wake up! The dream is over. I think wow… that’s a kind of torturing, but still I enjoy this kind of torturing.。
