Good morning everyone. It’s my great honor to stand here to present my lesson.. Today I’ll talk about unit 1 from…My contents consist of 7 parts: the analysis of the teaching material, the students, teaching aims, key points and difficult points, teaching methods and teaching aids, teaching procedure, and blackboard design.Part 1 The teaching material:This unit is about the topic…In this period, the main knowledge the Ss will learn is five words:…. and two sentence patterns:… This lesson is the first period as well as the key part in this unit. It lays an important basis for the following lessons.或This unit is about the topic…This lesson mainly deals with a dialogue about… to consolidate the new words and sentence patterns:…It plays an important part in the English teaching of this unit.Part 2 The analysis of the students.The students are now in Grade 5. They have learned English for 2 years so far. Most of them are very interested in English, and can communicate with each other fluently using the sentence patterns they have learned. It is known to us that the kids are very active and like playing games very much, so during my class, I’ll design some interesting games to activate them to participate and learn something. They will also be interested in the class.Part 3 Teaching aimsAs we all know: the main instructional aim of English teaching in primary school is to cultivate pupils’ basic abilities of listening and speaking and their good sense of the English language. According to the new English course standard, the contents of the text and the fact of the Ss, I establish the following three teaching aims of this period: The first one is the aims on the knowledge:Students can listen, read, say and write the following words, phrases and sentence patterns:…Make sure that Ss can use these sentences in real situations.The second is the aims on the abilities:(a) To improve Ss’ abilities of listening, speaking and talking about the topic with the new words and sentences..(b) To train Ss’ ability of working in groups.(c) To encourage Ss to communicate with others actively.The third one is the aims on the emotion:(a)To foster Ss’ consciousness of good co-operation and proper competition.(b)To educate Ss to show their love to the poor / be polite and helpful to others.Part 4 Key points and difficult pointsI think the key points of this period is to enable the Ss to master the words and sentences…The difficult point is to make sure the students can use the patterns… in their daily life correctly and skillfully.Part 5 Teaching methods and aidsIn this lesson, I will try my best to carry out the following theory: Make the Ss the real masters in class while the teacher acts as director and facilitator.The task-based method, TPR method, communicative method, pair and group cooperative method and situational method will be used in this period. And I will use some pictures, words and sentence cards, a tape recorder and the multi-mediacomputer to help me achieve the aims. These can arouse the stude nts’ interest in English learning.Part 6 Teaching procedure （以学习四季词汇为例）To accomplish the aims, I design the following steps:Step 1: Warming-upIn order to attract the Ss’ attention and construct an atmosphere of learning English, I let the students sing an English song and m ake a free talk between the T-S ,S-S.This step is to form a better situation for the students by singing and speaking. They will come into the real surrounding of the English learning, and it can also review the learnt knowledge for the next step.Step 2. PresentationFirstly, I will stick four pictures with different scenery in four seasons on the Bb and describe each picture and ask them what season it is. Here I will introduce the word “season”. Then according to the pictures, tell them the four seasons: spring, summer, autumn and winter one by one and stick the four words below the pictures. Then lead the Ss to read them, make sure they can say them correctly. At the same time, ask them what’s the weather like in each season, and what’s your favorite season. Secondly, listen to the tape. Let the Ss imitate to read and spell them out. Pay attention to their pronunciation and intonation.Thirdly, Play a game: who is faster.Proper competition can arouse Ss’ interest in learning English. I will divide the Ss into four groups to have a competition and each one represents a season. I will show them the picture of one season. The group representing the right season stand up immediately. Ss who react fastest will be the winner.This step is not to present the new words one by one, but with the help of the multimedia and the pictures, it can provide a real situation to understand the meaning of the words and to arouse the Ss’interest in English learning. A competition can encourage them to try by themselves and improve their ability of learning.Step 3. PracticeFirst, do pair-work. One shows the picture or act, and ask what’s the season, what’s the weather like and the other answer.Then I will ask several students to ask and answer in pairs before the class.After that, I will draw four stark trees on the Bb and invite four Ss to complete them in accordance with the season. Give them five hands if they draw right and well.This part is very important in the lesson. The Ss’ abilities of speaking and communication will be well trained. By saying loudly and freely , they will feel happy and successful during this part. By way of communication, the Ss will understand the meaning of the structure better and master the knowledge firmly.Step 4. ConsolidationGive them a task: Make a short dialogue betwee n the two to talk about ….This part is the consolidation of the key structure, and also is an extensive activity for the Ss. During this part ,the Ss can think and say by themselves, they will be glad to use the knowledge they have learnt, and their creative ability will be well trained.Step 5. Summary.Lead the Ss to summarize what they have learned to strengthen their memory of the knowledge.Step 6. HomeworkAsk the Ss to recite and copy the words , finish the exercises in the workout book or to make a survey about what’s their friends’ favorite season.Part 7 Blackboard designI will make a clear and simple blackboard design to present the words and sentence patterns that need to be mastered in this lesson. The pictures of the four seasons are stuck on the Bb in a row with each season word below. And the two sentences are written on the right.In a word, the whole period is based on tasks, which are designed from easy steps to steps that are challenging. When the Ss are carting out the tasks, they can acquire information, knowledge, and have their ability and skills trained.That’s all. Thank you for your attention.。
