本册教材虽贴近生活，但仍有较多难度较大的单词、词汇、句子，在教学上存在了一定的难度。
由于英语学习衔接和更换新教材的缘故，许多学生可能会还是觉得五年级英语学习有些吃力。
班中仍存在着部分学生对这门课充满了疑虑，不敢勇敢地面对困难，对英语学习也失去了信心。
又由于学生基础不同造成教学时的较大困难。
我想通过一些班级中的尖子生的带头作用，能让更多的学生提高学习的主动性，能知难而进。
我也希望通过师生双方的努力，在接下去一个学期中，第一个同学都能取得更大的进步。
二、教材分析：本教材难易度合理，过渡平和，主要采用的是全身反应教学法，让学生在不同的学习活动中感知并运用英语。
本教材分为六个单元，其中包括两个复习单元。
《义务教育课程标准实验教科书》五年级上册，供以小学三年级为起始点开设英语的学校第三年度第一学期使用。
教材的设计体现了“以人为本”的教育思想，形式多样活泼，很符合该年龄阶段的儿童。
